Process for the production of lithographic printing form foils and lithographic printing form foil produced by this process The invention relates to a process for producing lithographic printing form foils from paper, plastic or metal and a lithographic printing form foil produced by this method. The printing form materials used should be subjected to a treatment so that they are ideally suited for later lithographic printing.
The known typewriter foils required a complicated coating, which on the one hand was very cumbersome and expensive, but on the other hand was not sufficient to work tone-free with direct lithographic printing. Since in the direct lithographic printing of the printing form foil moisture is withdrawn by each sheet of print paper, the existing foils could not be printed without tone. The known foils on the approaching edge of the printing drum also showed too strong suitability for the bin. Above all, however, the aim of the invention was to provide a manufacturing method by the simplest possible treatment, for.
B. simple impregnation and squeezing of a han delsüblichen paper to achieve.
According to the inventive method, the printing form material is made moisture-carrying and grease-repellent at the non-image areas by wetting it with a liquid containing acetic acid or acetic acid compounds, preferably basic aluminum acetate.
A lithographic printing forme film according to the invention produced by this method is characterized in that at least the printing side of the film is wetted with a liquid containing acetic acid or its compounds, preferably aluminum acetate. Due to the possibility of treatment by simply soaking it with the liquid, however, it is achieved at the same time that both sides of the printing forme film are treated without additional work and that both sides of the printing forme film can optionally be used for the inscription.
Normal wet-strength paper, plastic or metal can be used as the film material. Be particularly well suited as a film material in a known manner, for. B. by means of casein or other fabrics fen coated art paper of preferably 80 to 160 g / mP for direct lithographic printing. Thicker papers can of course also be used for offset printing.
The treatment of art paper with acetic acid and acetic acid compounds has shown a particularly favorable result. The production costs of the foils are significantly lower than other coated foils, which is of particular importance for the economy of paper foils. It is possible to achieve up to 500 prints with the paper foils produced in this way, depending on the degree of impregnation and the moistening used.
As a means of wetting z. B. by soaking or coating the printing plate material, the following can be used: Example 1 3% acetic acid, Example 2 4 parts of a commercial basic aluminum acetate solution with a density of 1.042 and 8, 5 volume percent are mixed with 6 parts of distilled water
