Cooling showcase for cheese The subject of the invention is a cooling showcase for cheese, with a refrigeration machine and an at least partially glass-walled receiving housing, the interior of which is accessible through a closable opening and is provided with at least one cooling element and a water evaporator. For storage and display of cut cheese intended for retail sales, such refrigerated display cases are used in which one wants to protect the stored cheese against weight loss and the sensitive cut surfaces against aging and mold formation by means of air conditioning.
Since the higher temperature of the ambient air affects the showcase and the need to open the showcase again and again for retail sales disturbs the air conditioning, efforts must be made to constantly counteract these disruptive influences in the entire usable space of the showcase.
The refrigerated showcase according to the invention is characterized by the fact that the cooling element is arranged above the usable space of the housing and a drip catcher is arranged below the latter, which has an automatic return for dripping water into the water evaporator and several air guide lamellae, which face downwards against the housing wall opposite the housing opening are inclined, and that the water evaporator is arranged below the usable space in the region of the air circulation flow which is at least approximately the furthest from the cooling element.
According to the method for operating the refrigerated display case, a natural air circulation is created in the receiving housing by means of the cooling element in the entire usable space, in which the cooled air near the wall opposite the housing opening slowly sinks towards the bottom of the usable space on the goods to be cooled sweeps away the floor while absorbing heat and moisture and rises again to the cooling element on the side of the housing opening, the temperature of the cooling surface of the same is kept at most 6 C lower than the temperature of the incoming air.
An embodiment of the subject of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawing, which shows a vertical cross section through a refrigerated display case.
The illustrated refrigerated showcase has a housing 1 constructed from Me tall and glass for cheese on display, in particular sliced cheese, which is why at least the rearwardly inclined front wall 2 and the forwardly inclined rear wall 4 provided with an opening 3 are partially made of glass . The opening 3 can be closed by a sliding window 5. Under the bottom 6 of the housing 1 a Kältema machine 7 is arranged, to which at least one in the Ge housing 1 via the usable space 8 attached Kühlele element 9 is connected via lines 10.
Also above the usable space 8 is under the Kühlele element 9 a drip catcher 11, which has several elongated, equally spaced longitudinally side by side air guide blades 12, which are inclined downward against the housing front wall 2 and be adjacent blades in the vertical projection with the Just overlap the longitudinal edges. The lower, upturned longitudinal edges 13 each form a droplet catching channel, which open with a slight gradient into a collecting channel 14 of the drip catcher 11 attached to one end.
A drain pipe 15 leads from the channel 14 into a tub 16 of a water evaporator, which is inserted in the bottom of the housing 6 under the utility space 8, i.e. at least approximately the greatest distance from the cooling element 9 and results in a large evaporation surface of the water filling 17, which is at least half the base area of the Usable space 8 corresponds.
The tub 16 is covered by a grate 18 which has slots 19 extending mainly in the direction from the front wall to the rear wall of the housing.
For normal operation, the cooling element is kept at a temperature 6 C lower than that of the air to be flowing, which results in a natural slow air circulation in the usable space of the housing, in which the cooled air is guided through the guide lamellae in the direction of the arrow against the front wall 2 and close the same drops against the bottom 6 on the cooling well, then brushes along the grate 18 against the rear wall 4 and thereby absorbs heat and moisture from the water evaporator 16 and gradually rises near the rear wall 4 to the cooling element 9.
Soft cheeses are preferably placed in the front, cooler zone of the usable space 8, while hard cheeses can be placed on the grate 18.
It has been found to be expedient that the size of the evaporation surface of the water evaporator is at least 1 / a of the size of the entire cooling surface of the cooling element.
