gelöst in 100 Teilen Wasser, versetzt.
Process for the preparation of disazo dyes It has been found that valuable disazo dyes are obtained if tetrazotized, optionally ring-substituted 4,4'-diamino-diphenyls with compounds of the general formula
EMI0001.0010
clutch.
In this formula, R denotes an optionally substituted hydrocarbon radical and alkyl denotes a low bamolecular alkyl group, preferably containing up to 4 carbon atoms.
The radical R is in particular the methyl radical. Wei tere radicals R are z. B. the ethyl, isopropyl or phenyl radical.
The optionally ring-substituted 4,4'-di-aminodiphenyls, which are ver used as tetrazo components, can, for. B. halogen atoms, FITS chlorine and / or bromine atoms, and / or nitro groups carry as substituents.
Most symmetrically substituted 4,4'-diamino-diphenyls are used, for example 3,3-dinitro-4,4'-diamino-diphenyl, 3,3-dichloro-4,4'-. Diamino-diphenyl, 2, 2'-dichloro-4,4'-diamino-5,5'-dinitro-diphenyl or 3,3'-dibromo-4,4'-diamino-5,5'-dichloro-diphenyl, or general diamines of the formula
EMI0001.0034
in which X = H, halogen or NO2, Y = H or halogen and Z = H, halogen or NO2.
A particularly advantageous coupling component is 1-acetoacetylamino-2,5-dimethoxy-4-bromobenzene. The tetrazotization of the optionally substituted 4,4'-diamino-diphenyls is carried out in a known manner, for. B. by adding the calculated amount of sodium nitrite to a hydrochloric or sulfuric acid solution or suspension of the diaminodiphenyl with cooling, preferably at about 0-5 C. The coupling reaction can be carried out in a weakly acidic, neutral or alkaline solution. It is often beneficial to add a base, for example pyridine.
The new compounds are excellent pigments. They are practically insoluble in the most common solvents. They are suitable e.g. B. for dyeing paper in bulk and where appropriate dissolved masses based on natural and synthetic resins or rubber, as well as for printing textiles and paper. It is advisable to treat them mechanically, e.g. B. chairs with the help of mills or rollers, optionally together with dispersants, z.
B. condensation products from naphthalene sulfonic acids and formaldehyde, to make pigment paste. These can be used as such, but they can also be used e.g. B. by atomization, dry and the powder obtained mah len.
The dyeings obtained are outstandingly lightfast, have good to very good washing, chlorine bleach, hypochlorite bleach, over-dyeing, blind vat, hydrosulfite, peroxide bleaching, dry cleaning, rubbing, migration, varnishing and painting Solvent fastness and are characterized by good transparency and heat resistance.
The parts mentioned in the examples are parts by weight and the percentages are percentages by weight. The temperatures are given in degrees Celsius.
Example 1 25.3 parts of 4,4'-diamino-3,3'-dichlorodiphenyl are stirred with 400 parts of water and 55 parts of hydrochloric acid (30%). The mixture is cooled to 0 by adding ice and tetrazotized with 13.8 parts of 4 normal aqueous sodium nitrite solution.
63.2 parts of 1-acetoacetylamino-2,5-dimethoxy-4-bromobenzene are then dissolved in 1600 parts of water and 22 parts of sodium hydroxide solution (30%). After filtration, a mixture of 13 parts of glacial acetic acid and 100 parts of water and then 60 parts of crystallized sodium acetate are added to the solution, cooled to 5 to 10
dissolved in 100 parts of water. This solution is then combined with the filtered tetrazo solution.
After the coupling has ended, the mixture is heated to 90 and kept at this temperature for one hour. The precipitated dye is filtered off, washed free of salt with water and dried.
Instead of 4,4'-diamino-3,3'-dichloro-diphenyl, 34.2 parts of 4,4'-diamino-3,3'-dibromo-diphenyl can be used.
Dyeing instructions 0.1 part of the disazo dye thus obtained who with 0.2 parts of a high molecular weight polyester plasticizer, e.g. B. Paraplex 53 (Rohm & Haas, Philadelphia) adapted, rubbed on a paint rubbing machine and mixed with 100 parts of plasticizer-containing polyvinyl chloride composition.
The colored mass is gelatinized on the mixing roll mill at about 150-160 for 10 minutes with friction, then the film is peeled off with synchronous or weak friction. A lightfast and excellent migrationfast yellow dyeing is obtained.
Example 2 In a 100 parts of concentrated sulfuric acid, 27.4 parts of 4,4'-diamino-3,3'-dinitro-diphenyl are introduced at D-5. After about 3 hours, ice is poured onto 300 parts. A small excess of nitrite is removed with sulfamic acid and the solution is filtered.
The clear, slightly yellow solution obtained in this way is combined with a fine, acetic acid suspension of 63.2 parts of 1 acetoacetylamino-2,5-dimethoxy-4-bromobenzene at 10-15, the pH being between 3.5 and 4.5 is held. After the coupling has ended, the mixture is heated to 90, filtered and washed free of salt.
The dye obtained dyes polyvinyl chloride in orange shades with good fastness to light and migration.
Example 3 34.3 parts of 4,4'-diamino-2,2'-dichloro-5,5'-dinitro-diphenyl are tetrazotized according to the information in Example 2 or 43.2 parts 4,4'-diamino-2,2'-dibromo-5,5'-dinitro-diphenyl, and the filtered and buffered tetrazole solution is combined with a solution of 68.8 parts of 1-acetoacetylamino-2,5-di - ethoxy-4-bromobenzene in pyridine,
in this way, after filtering and washing salt-free, a brown, strongly colored pigment with excellent migration and light fastness properties is obtained.
Dyeing instructions 1 part: the pigment obtained in this way is rubbed with 1 part of tricresyl phosphate on the color rub-out machine. 1 part of the grated pigment paste is mixed with 4 parts of ethyl cellulose N 14 (Hercules) and with a solvent mixture of 50 parts of methyl isobutyl ketone,
40 parts of ethyl acetate and 10 parts of n-butyl alcohol are stirred and then diluted to spray viscosity. The ethyl cellulose lacquer is sprayed onto aluminum sheet or chromo cardboard.
Example 4 63.2 parts of 1-acetoacetylamino-2,5-dimethoxy-4-bromobenzene are dissolved in 1000 parts of water and 22 parts of sodium hydroxide solution (30%). The filtered solution is stirred with a mixture of 13 parts of glacial acetic acid and 100 parts of water and then with 60 parts of crystallized sodium acetate,
dissolved in 100 parts of water.
To this, a mixture of 41.1 parts of 4,4'-diamino-3,3'-di-bromo-5,5'-dichlorodiphenyl or 32.2 parts of 4,4'-di-amino is added according to the information in Example 2 - 3,3 ', 5,5'-tetrachloro-diphenyl or 50.0 parts of 4,4'-diamino-3,3', 5,5'-tetrabromo-diphenyl or 41.1 parts of 4,4'-diamino -3,3'-dichloro-5,5'-dibromo-diphenyl produced tetrazo solution. By adding sodium hydroxide solution (15%)
the pH is kept at 4.8 to 5.2. The coupling temperature is 20. After the coupling has ended, the mixture is heated to 90, filtered and washed.
