In.

In FIGS. 1 and 2, the improved liquid sample branching device is shown in connection with a liquid dispensing device for branching off small dosed or adequately sized liquid quantities or samples from a liquid flow line.
FIG. 3 shows a somewhat modified embodiment in connection with an injector-like device, with the aid of which the liquid sample is branched off with a relatively high back pressure.
In Fig. 1, 10 denotes the dispensing device. The inventive liquid sample branch device represents a part of this tapping device in the form of a motorized, automatic tapping device 12, one end of which is shown protruding into the pressurized fluid flow in the pipeline 14.
A bypass line 16 with a shut-off device 18 is provided adjacent to the tapping point of the tapping device 12. On both sides of the tap from the device 12 shut-off devices 20 and 22 are provided in the flow line 14. When these two shut-off devices 20 and 22 are closed and shut-off device 18 is open, the liquid flows through the secondary line 16 in the bypass to the tapping device 12.
If shut-off device 20 and 22 are open and shut-off device 18 is closed, the liquid only flows through line 14 and works with the dispensing device 12 together.
The dispensing device 12 has an outer zy-cylindrical housing 30 with a cage-like part 32 and a fitting part 34 and four ways in legs 36, 38, 40 and 42 and a Längboh tion 44 which goes through the legs 36 and 38 and with the interior of the cage part 32 is in communication, on. At the front end, the bore 44 receives a bearing sleeve 46 made of Teflon or similar material. At the rear end of the bore 44 it takes the stabilizing bearing sleeve 48, which can also be made of Teflon.
A supply or connection pipeline 50 extends through the entire bore 44 and is rotatably mounted in bearing sleeves 46 and 48. The front end of the pipeline 50, which over its entire length forms a fluid flow channel 51, projects with a flange-like hub 94 into the cage part 32. In the four-way fitting piece 34 a cross rod is arranged coaxially to the legs 40 and 42,
which is connected to the liquid channel 51 via a flow channel 56 and protrudes through the pipeline 50. The throughflow channel 56 is in communication over the entire circumference of the longitudinal bore with an annular recess 58 made therein. The rear end of the flow channel 51 is closed with a screw plug 59. The leg 42 receives a screw plug 60, while the leg 40 is in communication with the interior of a liquid sample receptacle 64.
O-sealing rings 66 and 68 are arranged on both sides of the flow channel 56 between the pipeline 50 and the wall of the longitudinal bore 44.
The cage part 32 protrudes through an opening 70 in the flow line 14 transversely into this and the outer housing 30 is held by a support sleeve 72 welded to the pipeline at 73, into which the leg 38 is screwed by means of thread.
On the leg 36, a clamping nut 74 for holding by clamping a motor support frame 76 for the motor M of the device 12 is screwed. The motor M is fastened to the frame 76 by means of bolts 78 and its shaft is connected via a coupling 82 to the pipe 50 in order to set it in rotation.
The front end of the bearing sleeve 46 is tapered and engages behind a conically undercut surface 92 on the flange-like hub part 94 of the front end of the pipeline 50 and is in a sealing abutment position with the counter surface by an axial compression spring 95 acting on the rotatable pipeline 50 held.
The cage 32 protrudes transversely into the pipeline 14 so that it comes to lie directly in the liquid flow. The hollow cylindrical wall of the Kä figs 32 has a series of four rectangular openings 96 distributed over its circumference, which are set at 90 to one another.
From the flange-like hub part 94 of the pipe 50 extends forward a sleeve 100 which rotates with the pipe 50 and in its interior receives a pipe section 102 made of Teflon and a valve seat plate 104 also made of Teflon. The valve seat plate lies with its back against the flange-like hub part 94 and has an eccentrically arranged axial valve opening 106, which is surrounded on the front with a ring web-like vorsprin ing valve seat 108.
Sleeve 100 and pipe section 102 are each provided with diametrically opposite fluid passage openings 110 and 112. The front edge of the sleeve 100 and the pipe section 102 are provided with two diametrically opposed axially protruding cams 114 which coincide in the axially parallel longitudinal direction with the liquid passages 110 and 112 in position. These cams 114 are provided for the purpose of a reciprocating actuation of a dispensing piston 166 to.
The supply pipeline 50, hub part 94, sleeve 100, pipe section 102 and valve seat plate 94 rotate together. Tube section 102 slidably receives a non-rotating liquid sample cup 120 in its interior, which is open at the front end and at its front edge has two relatively thick, diametrically opposed tabs 122 with bores 124 through which the ends of a transverse shaft 126 are connected Reduced diameter central part 128 are passed through.
The protruding ends of this transverse shaft 126 slide into two narrow axially parallel longitudinal slots 130 as extensions of two openings 96 in the wall of the non-rotatable cage 32. The transverse pin 126 thus prevents the liquid sample cup 120 from rotating, which is normally held resiliently in its end position according to FIG. 5 by a compression spring 195. The front end of the spring 195 rests against a centering cup ring 132 which rests against a snap ring 134 located in an annular groove 136 near the front end of the cage 32.
The rear end of the spring 195 rests against a saddle-like knockout piece 137 which engages the central, thinner part 128 of the transverse pin 126 with axially parallel slots 138 and is supported on it. The spring 195 and the saddle piece 137 press on the transverse pin 126 and the liquid sample cup 120 and force them to rest with their rear end face of its closed bottom 144 against the annular valve seat web 108.
The side wall 143 of the liquid sample beaker 120 is provided with two diametrically opposed to the liquid passage openings 140 and 142, which with an interruption agree with the liquid passage openings 110 and 112 in terms of position.
The bottom wall 144 of the liquid sample cup 120 is provided with an eccentric liquid passage opening 146 in a coincident position with the liquid passage opening 106 in the valve seat plate 104, which occurs only once in a certain position for each revolution of the rotating parts of the device.
The piston 116 is slidably arranged in the liquid sample cup 120 and is prevented from rotating by a stop pin 150 which protrudes through a transverse bore 152 in the piston 116 and is guided with its ends in longitudinal slots 154 in the side wall 143 of the cup 120. The pin 150 protrudes beyond the wall 143 of the Be chers 120 and slides on the front edge of the sleeve 100 provided with the cams 114, by which it is influenced.
The rear end of the piston 116 has an axially projecting conical pin valve 156 in a position that matches the liquid passage opening 146 in the bottom 144 of the cup 120, so that when the piston 116 is in the rear end position, the pin valve 156 dispenses the liquid. speed passage opening 120 closes.
When the liquid sample branching device is in operation, the shut-off device 18 is open and the shut-off devices 20 and 22 are open. A steady, constant flow of liquid then flows around the hollow cylindrical cage 32 in the flow line 14 and penetrates through the openings 96 into the interior of the cage 32. The feed tube 50 and the associated sleeve 100 rotate together, while the cage 32, cross pin 126, liquid sample cup 120, piston 116 and stop pin 150 are secured against rotation.
Assuming that at the beginning of the working cycle of the device the individual parts assume the position according to FIG. 7, the piston 116 is in the abutment position against the bottom wall 144 of the cup 120, so that all liquid is forced out of the cup 120.
The liquid passage openings 110 and 112 are not in the same position with the liquid flow openings 140 and 142 and the pin valve 156 closes the passage opening 146 with a seal, the flow opening 106 in the valve seat plate 104 is in a corresponding position with the passage opening 146 in the bottom wall 144 of the cup 120 because the stop pin 150 is located outside the area of the cams 114 and the piston 116 is in its rearward end position.
With continued rotation of the sleeve 100 in the direction of the arrow in FIG. 8, the cross pin 150 comes into the area of the cams 114 and causes the piston 116 to move forward, so that an intermediate space 164 between the rear end of the piston 116 and the bottom wall 144 of the Be chers 120 is made, which reaches its maximum after a rotation of 90, as shown in FIG. 9, when the transverse pin 150 is on the cam 114. As the sleeve 100 continues to rotate, the passage openings 106 and 146 come out of a coincident position with one another and the pressure in the intermediate space 164 decreases.
At the point in time at which the sleeve 100 has rotated through 90, so that the first quarter of the work cycle is completed, the passage opening 110 in the sleeve 100 with the passage opening 142 comes into the sleeve with the passage opening 142 in the cup 120 and passage opening 112 of the sleeve 100 correspond to the passage opening 140 in the cup 120. At this point in time, the capacity of the space 164 is at its maximum and it is in communication with the space 166 between the sleeve 100 and the cage 32, so that liquid flows into the space 164.
The space 164 fills with a measured amount of the liquid. As the sleeve continues to rotate, the transverse pin 150 leaves the cams 114 again, so that the piston 116 is free from this influence, but is held in its front end position by the fluid pressure. During this further rotation, the passage openings 110 and 112 of the sleeve 100 also come out of correspondence with the passage openings 142 and 140 in the cup 120, so that the liquid flowing into the intermediate space 164 of cup 120 has flowed in, is enclosed in this gap 164.
The static pressure exerted by the liquid on the piston 116 is balanced by the internal pressure of the amount of liquid enclosed in the space 164, so that the piston 116 cannot move backwards.
This closure of the specific amount of liquid in the space 164 is maintained even if the sleeve 100 assumes the position according to FIGS. 11 and 12, in which it has performed a rotation of 180 °. At this point in time, the transverse pin is again on the cam 114, which, however, does not produce any function, since the passage openings 146 and 106 are offset from one another by 180. At the time when half the working cycle of the device has ended after the sleeve has been rotated by 180, the device does not function.
In Fig. 5 and 6, the parts of the device are in their position and give a rotation of 270 wiederge, which corresponds to 3/4 cycle. The passage opening 112 of the sleeve 100 is again in a corresponding position with the passage opening 142, while the passage opening 110 in the sleeve 100 has come into alignment with the passage opening 140 in the cup 120 is
so that a reverse position with respect to the position at 90 has arisen. The intermediate space 164 is thus again in connection with space 166 between cage 32 and sleeve <B> 100 </B> so that if space 164 could not yet completely fill with liquid in the 90 position for whatever reason, again There is an opportunity to fill the intermediate space 164 completely with liquid from the pipe 14.
If the rotation of the sleeve 100 continues beyond 270, the flow openings 112 and 110 of the sleeve 100 move away from the flow openings 140 and 142 in the cup 120. The valve directional ring 108 remains in sealing contact with the end wall 144 of the cup 120, see above that the amount of liquid trapped in the space 164 remains enclosed in the space 164 until the passage opening 106 in the valve seat plate 162 with the passage opening 146 in the end plate 144 of the cup 120 coincides.
When this state of matching the position of the throughflow opening 106 with the throughflow opening 146 is reached, the liquid in the intermediate space 164 comes into connection with the liquid inflow line 51 in the supply pipe 50, so that the liquid pressure on the back of the piston <B> 116 </B> stops and the piston 116 moves to the rear and out of the liquid sample cup 120 through the liquid supply line 51, flow opening 56,
Annular space 58, borehole 52 in the collecting container 64 for the liquid can flow keitsproben.
The above-described working cycle of the device, which corresponds to one revolution of the supply pipe 50, thus begins anew, with an amount corresponding to the intermediate space 164 being fed once to the container 64 as a liquid sample in each cycle. The device 12 is effective, regardless of the direction of rotation in which the supply line rotates.
In. Fig. 3 is a modified embodiment of the device shown and denoted by 112, as it is used with high pressure injection of the liquid sample into the container 164 from a flow line 114 device. The end supply line 162 to the container 164 is connected directly to the liquid supply tube 150 via a rigid threaded coupling 182, this supply tube 150 and the associated parts being stationary while the liquid sample cup and its piston rotate.
Since no means is required to hold the liquid sample cup and its piston against rotation, the cage 32 of the device 12 would be avoided. Otherwise, the assembly of the device remains identical to the corresponding device parts of the device 12 as in the embodiment of FIG.
Because of this correspondence and to avoid a repeated description, the same reference numerals are used for the same or essentially identical parts as in FIG. 2, but with the precondition of a <B> 1 </B> or a 2 for the embodiment according to FIG. 3.
A locking nut 174 on the supply line 150 rests against a connection piece 172 welded to the pipe 114 and prevents rotation of the pipe 150 are visible, stand still. The liquid sample cup 220 is rotated by a Mo tor M2, which drives the drive shaft 183 via a clutch 182.
The drive shaft 183 is passed through a stabilizing sleeve in the wall of the flow pipe 114 and be seated at its inner end a square 187, with which it protrudes into a sleeve 189 of the same cross-section of the saddle 234. A stuffing box part 195 is welded at 197 to the wall of the flow line 114 and provided with a stuffing box nut 199 and packing material 201 in the usual manner.
The spring 195 rests against an adjusting ring 191 and presses the liquid sample cup 220 against the valve seat plate. The adjusting ring 191 is connected to the shaft 183 by means of an adjusting disk 193.
It is evident that when the sleeve 200 and the parts connected to it are fixedly attached, the liquid sample cup 220 and the parts connected to it, including the piston 216, are set in rotation by the motor M2 to dispense measured amounts as liquid samples under pressure the flow line 114 branches off into the receptacle 164, as was the case and is described in the embodiment of FIG.
