Blind slats The present invention relates to a blind slat as claimed in the main patent, that is to say comprising a metal strip wound longitudinally so as to form a tubular strip and the marginal and longitudinal parts of which are folded inwardly of the bay and are connected to each other by a member preventing the opening of the strip by unwinding of the strip.
The blind slat according to the present invention is further characterized by the fact that these marginal parts form at least a portion of the lower face of the slat and that said member constitutes a spacer preventing the relative approach of said parts by crushing. of the coverslip.
The single figure in the drawing shows, by way of example, a cross section of a strip according to the invention.
This strip consists of a thin metal strip, preferably aluminum, folded and wound up longitudinally so as to form a tubular strip, the front and rear side faces of which are indicated by the references 1 and 2, the upper face by 3 and the lower face by 4.
The faces 1 and 2 are flat and parallel, while the face 3 forms two descending sides of which the common stop 3a constitutes the upper edge of the strip. The face 4 is hollow and has a profile corresponding to that of the face 3, this face 4 being intended, once the blind has been mounted, to completely cover the upper face 3 of the slat disposed immediately below.
The strip shown is divided into two superimposed spaces by a fold 5 of the wall 2, in contact by its left end in the drawing with the internal side of the face 1. This wall 5 is intended to ensure, as is described in the main patent, the axial locking of the bars such as B intended for the mutual fixing of the diferent slats constituting a blind, but also to reinforce each slat transversely.
The lower wall of the strips, indicated by 4 in the drawing, is formed by the marginal and longitudinal parts 1a and 2a of the metal strip constituting each strip, as well as by a profiled strip 6.
These parts 1a and 2a are inclined towards the inside of this section that constitutes the strip, at an angle corresponding to the sides of the upper face 3 and are bent at their ends at a right angle at lb, respectively 2b so as to present a profile general L-shaped. The spacing as well as the bringing together of parts 1a and 2a is made impossible in the strip described thanks to the particular shape given to bar 6. As shown, the two longitudinal edges of this strip are folded to form two handles 6b and 6c, facing each other by their openings and engaged by their ends inside the dihedron formed by the two branches of the L formed by the folded edges 1a and 2a. The total width of the strip 6 corresponds to that of the strip 1 itself.
It is thus impossible to crush the faces 1 and 2 by bringing them closer to one another, on the one hand, because of the intermediate wall 5 and, on the other hand, because of the rod 6. It is It is likewise impossible to separate the parts 1a and 2a from one another, the latter being locked laterally by the end of the handles 6b and 6c of the rod 6. The rod 6 could have a different shape from that illustrated and operate the lateral locking of the marginal parts 1a and 2a by direct abutment on the end of the portions 1b and 2b of these marginal parts.
