End piece with a receiving groove for pushing onto the side edges of a metal window sill The invention relates to a closing piece with a receiving groove for pushing onto the side edges of a metal window sill. The purpose of such end pieces is to achieve a tight and precise connection between the ends of the window sill and the plaster of the masonry. At the same time, the changes in length of the window sill caused by temperature fluctuations must be possible in the receiving groove and, if necessary, the groove should serve as a water channel.
Furthermore, the aim is that, despite the simple assembly, a play-free connection between these parts is achieved by sliding the end piece onto the side edge of the window sill, which is not loosened by the usual building vibrations, etc.
Although the known means give a good holding effect, they have the material-related property that the tension forces existing between the receiving groove and the window sill, in particular due to the vibrations mentioned, are rapidly reduced because the material (light metal) of these components has too little elasticity. This deficiency could be countered by using particularly high-quality light metal alloys. However, this would also make the procurement costs prohibitively higher.
In contrast, the invention solves the existing problem in that for the support of the window sill lower surface transversely to this resilient support elements are provided and are inserted into the receiving groove of the end piece that after the end piece is pushed on, the window sill is elastically clamped in the receiving groove . The fe-reducing support elements preferably consist of flat or curved or angled leaf springs, which can be pushed into a longitudinal groove of the end piece, the groove being profiled so that the support elements are held in the transverse direction in particular against a soft off.
This means it is possible to produce a permanently acting elastic tension between the window sill and the end piece, which is not loosened even over a long period of time and with constant mechanical stresses. It is also particularly advantageous that the elastic tensioning effect is not finally determined in the profile of the closing body, as was previously the case, but can be adapted from case to case by the choice of the suspension properties of the support element.
In the drawing, for example, embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown. It shows: FIG. 1 in a perspective view a first embodiment of the connector and FIGS. 2 to 5 further exemplary embodiments of the connector.
The parts that correspond to one another have been given the same reference numerals.
In FIGS. 1 to 5, the profiled end piece is denoted by 1, the receiving groove by 2, the window sill by 3 and the resilient support element by 4, the figures differing in particular in the design and arrangement of the support element 4. In FIG. 1, this consists of a flat leaf spring which is inclined inwardly into a retaining groove 5 of the end piece and protrudes into the space of the receiving groove 2 provided for the window sill in the untensioned state (shown in dash-dotted lines).
As a result, when the end piece is pushed on in the direction of arrow P, the spring 4 is slightly bent and the window sill is elastically clamped in the groove 2. To support the holder effect, the upper contact surface of the end piece is provided with a grid 6. A similar holding effect is also achieved on the lower side of the window sill by the support edge 7 of the spring 4, which is designed in the form of a knife.
In FIG. 2, the resilient support element 4 is designed to be angled, one leg 8 being held in a form-fitting manner in a correspondingly profiled groove 5 of the terminating piece.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, the support body 4 is likewise angled. used, but the leg 9 has a particularly large bearing surface. As a result, the simple profile of the end piece is also particularly suitable for manufacture from plastic.
The embodiment according to FIG. 4 uses an upwardly curved spring clip as a support body, which is spread in the groove 5 when the end piece is pushed on and thereby exerts the desired Spannwir effect on the window sill.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 5, the lower bearing surface 10 of the terminating piece is largely formed by the support element 4, which is fastened in the terminating piece, possibly by pressing. This arrangement also results in a certain simplification of the end piece profile.
The arrangement of a gutter 11 is possible in the described embodiments in the usual way. Furthermore, instead of a continuous support element, several resilient supports can also be inserted into the end piece.
