  Verfahren zur Sicherung eines störungsfreien Betriebs einer Einsteckmaschine, welche ein mit Taschen versehenes, rotierendes oder geradlinig bewegtes Transportorgan aufweist
Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung ist ein Verfahren zur Sicherung der störungsfreien, mechanischen Abwicklung verschiedener Arbeitsphasen der Papierverarbeitung in einer Einsteckmaschine.



   Mit dem Verfahren nach der vorliegenden Erfindung kann die Abwicklung verschiedener, aufeinanderfolgender mechanischer Arbeitsgänge einer Zeitungs-Einsteckmaschine genau gesteuert werden, damit keinerlei Ausschuss oder Arbeitsunterbrüche während der automatischen Verarbeitung entstehen.



  Das vorliegende Ausführungsbeispiel, das in der Zeichnung schematisch dargestellt ist, zeigt die Arbeitsweise einer Zeitungs-Einsteckmaschine, welche Beilagen, wie Zeitungsteile, Broschüren, Einzelbogen und andere Druckerzeugnisse, in gefalzte Bogen, Hefte oder Zeitungshauptteile vollautomatisch einlegt.



  Zur sicheren Steuerung dieses mechanischen Arbeitsvorganges werden photoelektrische Zellen verwendet, deren Anordnung aus der Zeichnung ersichtlich ist.



   Figur 1 zeigt die Seitenansicht des Einlegers, der das Zeitungshauptblatt 1 in die Einstecksterntaschen 2 einlegt.



   Figur 2 zeigt den Seitenriss des Einlegers für die Beilagen 3, der diese in das geöffnete Zeitungshauptblatt im Einsteckstern einlegt.



   Figur 3 zeigt einen Seitenriss der Papierstapel 5 bzw.   5' mit    den Lichtschranken der photoelektrischen Zellen.



   Wie bekannt, wird das unterste Exemplar 4 des Stapels 5 der Zeitungs-Einsteckmaschine durch den Saugerhebel 6 nach unten bis auf die Transportrolle 7 gezogen, wo es von der Tupferrolle 8 auf die Transportrolle 7 heruntergedrückt und von dieser in die Einstecksterntasche 2 weiterbefördert wird.



   Im Laufe der Drehbewegung des Einstecksterns wird der in der Tasche 2 befindliche Zeitungshauptteil 1 an der Stelle automatisch geöffnet, an welcher die Beilage 3 eingelegt werden soll.



   Währenddem das Hauptblatt 1 die Einsteckstellung der Beilage 3 durchläuft, wird die Beilage durch den Einleger, Figur 2, gleich wie das Hauptblatt 1 durch den Einleger, Figur 1, in das zu diesem Zweck geöffnete Hauptblatt 1 eingelegt, worauf das Druckerzeugnis mit der eingesteckten Beilage 3 durch die Auslage ausgestossen wird.



   Eine der zwei Sicherheitssteuerungen besteht darin, dass das Absinken der Papierstapel 5 bzw.   5' an    den beiden Einlegern, Figur 1 und 2, unter ein festgesetztes Minimalmass verhindert wird. Zur Erreichung dieses Zweckes sind an den untersten Stapelgrenzen der beiden Papierstapel 5 in Figur 1 und 2 untereinander parallelgeschaltete, horizontale Lichtschranken 9/10 und 15/16 mit je einer Photozelle 9 bzw. 15 und Lichtquelle 10 bzw. 16, Figur 3, eingebaut. Wenn eines der Papierstapelniveaus beim Hauptblatt oder bei der Beilage, Figur 1 und 2, unter die Lichtschranke 9/10 sinkt, gibt die Photozelle einen Impuls, der das Schliessen des elektromagnetischen Saugluftventils 11 bewirkt, das den Saugerhebel 6, Figur 1, steuert.

   Die andere Sicherheitssteuerung hat die Aufgabe, zu verhindern, dass durch den Beilageneinleger, Figur 2, eine Beilage 3 in eine leere Einstecksterntasche 2 gelegt wird, wenn das Hauptblatt 1 fehlt.



  Hiezu ist eine Lichtschranke 12/13 mit Photozelle 12 und Lichtquelle 13 in Figur 2 so angebracht, dass das sich gegen die Einsteckstelle der Beilage 3, Figur 2, bewegende Hauptblatt 1 im Einsteckstern unmittelbar vor der Einsteckstelle die Lichtschranke 12/13 durchläuft, welche beim Fehlen des Hauptblattes das Schliessen des elektromagnetischen Saugluftventils 14 bewirkt, welches den Saugerhebel 6, Figur 2, steuert.



  Der störungsfreie Betrieb der Einsteckmaschine wird  durch die erwähnte Anordnung von Lichtschranken folgendermassen gesichert:
1. Sinkt das Niveau des Beilagenstapels 5', Figur 2, unter die Lichtschranke 15/16, wirkt der Impuls derselben schliessend auf das Saugluftventil 11, so dass kein Hauptblatt 1 in die Einstecksterntaschen 2 eingelegt werden kann, wobei zu bemerken ist, dass die Hauptblätter, die sich in diesem Zeitpunkt im Einsteckstern befinden, noch mit Beilagen versehen werden, weil ja die übrigen Teile der Maschine weiterlaufen. Sobald der Beilagenstapel wieder angefüllt ist, öffnet sich das Saugluftventil 11 wieder, und der Hauptblatteinleger, Figur 1, tritt wieder in Funktion.



   2. Sinkt das Niveau des Hauptblattstapels 5, Figur 1, unter die Lichtschranke 9/10, Figur 1, so wirkt der Impuls derselben ebenfalls schliessend auf das Saugluftventil 11, damit der Stapel 5, Figur 1, nicht weiter absinkt.



   3. Solange das Hauptblatt 1 in der Einstecksterntasche 2 die Lichtschranke 12/13 durchläuft, entsteht kein Impuls. Fehlt jedoch ein Hauptblatt 1 in der Einstecksterntasche 2, währenddem die Tasche die Lichtschranke 12/13 durchläuft, wirkt der Impuls schliessend auf das Saugluftventil 14, so dass keine Beilage 3 in die Einstecksterntasche 2 eingelegt wird.



   Diese Sicherheitssteuerung bewirkt, dass keinerlei Zeitungsexemplare oder Beilagen nicht einwandfrei eingesteckt die Einsteckmaschine verlassen können.

The subject matter of the present invention is a method for ensuring the trouble-free, mechanical handling of different work phases of paper processing in an inserting machine.



   With the method according to the present invention, the execution of different, successive mechanical work steps of a newspaper inserting machine can be precisely controlled so that no rejects or work interruptions occur during the automatic processing.



  The present embodiment, which is shown schematically in the drawing, shows the operation of a newspaper inserting machine, which inserts inserts such as newspaper parts, brochures, individual sheets and other printed products in folded sheets, booklets or newspaper main parts fully automatically.



  Photoelectric cells, the arrangement of which can be seen in the drawing, are used to safely control this mechanical working process.



   FIG. 1 shows the side view of the insert which inserts the main newspaper sheet 1 into the star pocket 2.



   FIG. 2 shows the side elevation of the insert for the supplements 3, which inserts them into the opened main newspaper sheet in the star insert.



   FIG. 3 shows a side elevation of the paper stack 5 or 5 'with the light barriers of the photoelectric cells.



   As is known, the lowermost copy 4 of the stack 5 of the newspaper inserting machine is pulled down by the suction lever 6 to the transport roller 7, where it is pressed down by the swab roller 8 onto the transport roller 7 and transported from there into the star pocket 2.



   In the course of the rotary movement of the star insert, the main newspaper part 1 in the pocket 2 is automatically opened at the point at which the insert 3 is to be inserted.



   While the main sheet 1 passes through the insertion position of the insert 3, the insert is inserted through the insert, Figure 2, just like the main page 1 through the insert, Figure 1, into the main page 1 opened for this purpose, whereupon the printed product with the inserted insert 3 is ejected through the delivery.



   One of the two safety controls consists in preventing the paper stacks 5 and 5 'on the two inserts, FIGS. 1 and 2, from falling below a fixed minimum. To achieve this purpose, horizontal light barriers 9/10 and 15/16, each with a photocell 9 or 15 and light source 10 or 16, FIG. 3, are installed at the lowest stack boundaries of the two paper stacks 5 in FIGS. 1 and 2. If one of the paper stack levels in the main sheet or in the supplement, Figures 1 and 2, sinks below the light barrier 9/10, the photocell emits a pulse that closes the electromagnetic suction air valve 11 which controls the suction lever 6, Figure 1.

   The other safety control has the task of preventing an insert 3 from being placed in an empty star pocket 2 by the insert insert, FIG. 2, if the main sheet 1 is missing.



  For this purpose, a light barrier 12/13 with photocell 12 and light source 13 in Figure 2 is attached so that the main sheet 1 moving towards the insertion point of the supplement 3, Figure 2, in the star immediately before the insertion point passes through the light barrier 12/13, which at The absence of the main leaf causes the electromagnetic suction air valve 14, which controls the suction lever 6, FIG. 2, to close.



  The trouble-free operation of the inserting machine is ensured by the aforementioned arrangement of light barriers as follows:
1. If the level of the stack of supplements 5 ', Figure 2, falls below the light barrier 15/16, the impulse of the same has a closing effect on the suction air valve 11, so that no main sheet 1 can be inserted into the insert pocket 2, it being noted that the Main sheets, which are in the star inserter at this point in time, have to be provided with enclosures because the other parts of the machine continue to run. As soon as the stack of supplements is filled again, the suction air valve 11 opens again and the main sheet insert, FIG. 1, comes into operation again.



   2. If the level of the main sheet stack 5, FIG. 1, falls below the light barrier 9/10, FIG. 1, the impulse thereof also has a closing effect on the suction air valve 11 so that the stack 5, FIG. 1, does not drop any further.



   3. As long as the main sheet 1 in the star pocket 2 passes through the light barrier 12/13, there is no pulse. However, if a main sheet 1 is missing in the star pocket 2 while the pocket passes through the light barrier 12/13, the impulse has a closing effect on the suction air valve 14, so that no supplement 3 is placed in the star pocket 2.



   This safety control ensures that no newspaper copies or inserts are not properly inserted and cannot leave the inserting machine.

PATENTANSPRUCH Verfahren zur Sicherung eines störungsfreien Betriebs einer Einsteckmaschine, welche ein mit Taschen versehenes, rotierendes oder geradlinig bewegtes Transportorgan aufweist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass mehrere Lichtschranken durch photoelektrische Zellen und Lichtquellen die einwandfreie Steuerung der einzelnen mechanischen Arbeitsgänge der Maschine besorgen, ohne den Lauf der übrigen Teile der Maschine zu unterbrechen, indem die Lichtschranken die für das Einlegen der Hauptblätter (5) und der Beilagen (5') nötige Saugluft durch elektromagnetische Ventile (11 und 14) schliessen und öffnen bzw. ein- oder ausschalten.
