Die Verwendung von Platinlegierungen zur Her stellung von Spinndüsen ist an sich bekannt, z. B. ver wendet man Platin-Gold-Legierungen und Platin- Iridium-Legierungen, gegebenenfalls unter Zusatz eines dritten Edelmetalls, wobei diese Legierungen im ausgehärteten Zustand Verwendung finden. Die Aushärtung hat den Vorteil;

Use of alloys as a material for spinning nozzles The invention relates to the use of platinum alloys as a material for spinning nozzles, in particular those for spinning viscose.
The use of platinum alloys for the manufacture of spinnerets is known per se, for. B. ver one uses platinum-gold alloys and platinum-iridium alloys, optionally with the addition of a third noble metal, these alloys are used in the hardened state. The hardening has the advantage;
that the alloys in their soft state can be processed into nozzles and provided with spinning orifices. The nozzles are given their final hardness after completion of the machining process through a thermal treatment.
This higher hardness should make the alloys more wear-resistant, i. H. make them more resistant to scratches and other mechanical stresses and: in this respect, increase the service life.
Recently, however, it has been observed that under certain spinning conditions, for example a slightly higher spinning temperature or the use of smaller spinning orifices, the service life of a nozzle does not only depend on the mechanical resistance, but that other factors affecting the type of Depend on the nozzle material, predominate.
With these special spinning conditions it has also been shown that after each cleaning, the running time of the nozzle until the next cleaning becomes shorter and shorter and the nozzles have to be discarded completely after several periods of use and cleaning, although the mechanical wear is very minor.
The relatively short duration of use of spinnerets up to their own cleaning is essentially due to the fact that the spinning orifices gradually grow closed because substances from the viscose or the fountain bath settle on the nozzle bottom or on the borehole walls.
It has now surprisingly been found in accordance with the invention that hardenable alloys made of platinum with additions of iridium, ruthenium, pallium, gold, rhodium, individually or in groups, in a non-hardened homogeneous state, can be used as material for spinnerets,
can be used in particular for the viscose process and despite their lower hardness with regard to the spinning behavior up to the necessary cleaning and with regard to the entire service life, they are significantly superior to the alloys in the hardened state.
This is probably due to the fact that the alloys are heterogeneous in the hardened state, i. H.
that the material is made up of differently composed single crystals. The favorable properties of the alloys in the homogeneous state are 'probably due to
that in the case of the heterogeneous alloys, on the one hand, the surface is not as flat as in the case of the homogeneous alloys, while, on the other hand, between the heterogeneous, ie. H.
differently composed single crystals of the alloy form local elements, the cause for an electrolytic deposition of substances from the viscose or from the falling bath.
The platinum content of the alloys is preferably higher than 65%. For example, alloys with the following composition have been found to be suitable:
EMI0001.0120
82% <SEP> Pt <SEP> 12% <SEP> Rh <SEP> 6% <SEP> Ir
<tb> 78 <SEP>% <SEP> Pt <SEP> 20 <SEP>% <SEP> Rh <SEP> 2 <SEP>% <SEP> Ru
<tb> 65 <SEP>% <SEP> Pt <SEP> 25 <SEP>% <SEP> Rh <SEP> <B> 10% </B> <SEP> Pd
EMI0002.0001
87% <SEP> Pt <SEP> 10% <SEP> Rh <SEP> 3% <SEP> Au
<tb> 80 <SEP>% <SEP> Pt <SEP> 19 <SEP>% <SEP> Ir <SEP> 1 <SEP>% <SEP> Ru
<tb> 81 <SEP>% <SEP> Pti <SEP> 9 <SEP>% <SEP> Ir <SEP> <B> 10% </B> <SEP> Pd
<tb> 88 <SEP>% <SEP> Pt <SEP> <B> 10% </B> <SEP> Pd <SEP> 2 <SEP>% <SEP> Ru The alloys are generally homogenized through an annealing process
at. Temperatures above 1000 C, for example at 1200 C, and subsequent quenching.
While the thermal hardening of the alloy lengths worsens their spinning behavior, this is not the case if the nozzles still have a mechanical hardness, for example rolling hardness.
The nozzle regimes according to the invention have made significant progress, especially in the manufacture of particularly high-quality tire silk.
