Description
Use of gold-platinum alloys in a homogeneous state for production of spinnerets The invention relates to the use of gold-platinum alloys in a homogeneous state for the production of spinnerets, especially those for Spinning viscose.
Gold-platinum alloys for spinnerets are in use with the following Platinum content: 10, 25, 30, 40 and 501 / o. From about 221 / o platinum onwards these are binary Gold-platinum alloys can be hardened. The hardenability has the advantage that the Alloys in their soft state processed into nozzles and provided with spinning orifices can be and these nozzles their final hardness only at the end by a thermal Experience treatment. The non-hardenable alloy 90 Au-10 Pt contains Base metal additives in amounts less than 1114 that make the alloy age hardenable do. But the other alloys are also used in part to increase the hardenability, partly also to increase the fineness with additions of z. B. rhodium or rhenium Mistake. The higher hardness makes the alloys more wear-resistant, i. H. more resistant against scratches and other mechanical loads, and increases in this Respect their lifespan.
Recently, however, it has been observed that in certain Spinning conditions, for example slightly increased spinning temperature or application of finer Spinning orifices, the service life of a nozzle not only depends on the mechanical resistance depends, but that other factors, which are related to the type of nozzle material, predominate.
It has also been shown under these special spinning conditions that after each cleaning, the running time of the nozzle until the next cleaning always becomes shorter and the nozzles completely after several periods of use and cleaning must be discarded, although the mechanical wear is very minor. In particular, the relatively short period of use of spinnerets until they need to be cleaned it is essentially based on the fact that the spinning orifices gradually grow closed, because there are substances from the viscose or the precipitation bath on the nozzle bottom or fix on the borehole walls.
It has now surprisingly been found that homogeneous, non-curable or hardenable gold-platinum alloys that are not in the hardened state Made of 12 to 32% platinum, the remainder gold, the well-known alloys despite their lower hardness with regard to the spinning behavior up to the necessary cleaning and with regard to the are significantly superior over the entire service life. This is due to, that in the case of the heterogeneous alloys, on the one hand, the surface is not so flat as with the homogeneous alloys, while on the other hand between the heterogeneous, d. H. differently composed single crystals of the alloy local elements form, the cause of an electrolytic separation of substances from the viscose or from the precipitation bath.
The lower limit of 12% platinum is due to the fact that alloys below this platinum content in terms of their wear resistance and in relation to on the resistance to the spinning pressure are unsatisfactory and therefore therefore out of the question.
Alloys to be used according to the invention have proven particularly advantageous Made of 15 to 20% platinum, the rest gold, proven to be in spite of the hardness in this area the homogeneity is relatively high and so the advantages of both the homogeneous as the hard material are also present.
Ein Vergleich verschiedener Legierungen unter denselben Spinnbedingungen
ergab beispielsweise folgendes Resultat:
It has also been shown that gold-platinum alloys with more than 2011 / o platinum still show good spinning behavior. Prerequisite for this however, it is that they are not cured and largely homogeneous. The homogenization is done by quenching at high temperature during or after processing. The higher the platinum content, the more difficult it is for the alloy to be homogeneous State. The homogenization is only above about 321 / o platinum can still be achieved by an elaborately long glow. For this reason recommends it is not appropriate to use gold-platinum alloys with more than 32% according to the invention.
The nozzle alloys to be used according to the invention represent a represent significant progress, especially in the production of particularly high quality Tire silk.
