Method for the production of saw blades The invention relates to a method for the production of saw blades, in which the tooth part is made of a higher quality material than. the stem sheet is made.
In order to save material, saw blades have already been made from two different materials, the so-called master blade, which is the much larger part, consists of an inferior material, while the front tooth part carrying the teeth is made of particularly high-quality material must, such as B. made of hardened steel, because it has to absorb all the pressure and is subject to heavy wear.
The two parts of the known saw blades are often connected by welding. However, this method has the disadvantage that a third material has to be added as a welding material. Due to the enormous heat that is developed, the burn becomes very strong. In addition, however, the quality of the two materials is spoiled by the fact that a third material has to be added and also by the strong burn. This created the great danger that cracks and cracks would occur, so that the tools would break.
This can cause accidents because the broken parts can be thrown off. In addition, the butt welding always creates a fairly strong weld seam, which is disadvantageous when sawing curves or roundings and which also represents a weak point.
According to the invention, the disadvantages outlined are avoided. The invention provides that the tooth part and the main blade, which have different rectangular cross-sections, are welded together by means of an electron beam and then ground out so that the tooth part tapers to conical after the main blade and with its end in the thickness of the Master sheet goes over.
In the method according to the invention, all the disadvantages that have been described above are eliminated. The welding is done here by using an electron beam, which is guided along the welding zone or the weld seam and due to its enormous heat only briefly melts the material in point areas and thus firmly connects the two material parts to one another in such a way:
that the material parts flow into one another. This new welding method has the advantage that materials of different thicknesses and properties can be welded together without creating a joint or any bumps.
The heat that is developed when welding with an electron beam is extremely high. However, it is only developed for a short time and only at the points where it is currently needed, i.e. at the points that are currently being welded together.
The addition of a third material is not necessary with this method. Because: the two materials to be welded together are only ever made to flow point by point, so that a flawless, completely seamless seam is created that neither forms a bead nor a shoulder. So there are no disturbing bulges.
The qualities of the two materials to be welded together are not spoiled or changed. The weld seam becomes almost completely smooth.
Because the tooth part is reground according to the invention and given a conical shape, the saw blade can be guided much better through the material during sawing, since the blade does not jam in the material during sawing. The conicity of the tooth part has a very favorable effect, since it only has to be produced over the short distance of this tooth part. It is advantageous to cut free on this short distance or width of the saw blade.
The performance of the saw blade with a conical design is much higher than one with a straight set version of the tooth part, as the teeth wear out evenly on the sides and, above all, do not wear out as quickly as with a straight set design of the tooth part. As a result, the cut is always clean and. straight. The pressure load is considerably lower with a conical design of the tooth part than with a straight set design.
The cutting times are much shorter.
An oblique cutting is not possible with the conical design of the tooth part because of: the even wear on all sides. Because with this training only the tip works: the tooth part in the material and not the whole tooth part.
The conical design of the saw blade by regrinding the two rectangular parts welded together by electron beam has the particular advantage that the material has the greatest possible strength with the least amount of material. The conicity is not influenced by the manufacturing process, but rather: designed solely on the basis of the respective cutting conditions.
Finally, when grinding away, the decarburized layer is removed, making the saw blade much stronger and more resistant.
It was known to grind circular saw blades conically in the manner described above. However, this procedure could not be used for saw blades up to now. In the normal welding process, namely; A surface of 60 to 70 mm was ground on the long saw blade, which made the saw blade much too expensive.
It was therefore preferred to set the saw blades. Even with circular saw blades, grinding was only used for sizes up to 300 mm in diameter for the same reason. For larger diameters, these saws were also set.
It was only through the electron beam welding of the saw blades according to the invention that the possibility was created of conically designing and regrinding the longitudinal saw blades and larger circular saw blades, because now with a longitudinal saw blade only about; an area of 15 mm had to be sanded:
Due to the short cuts made possible by electron beam welding, the taper is stronger than when the whole blade is sanded. would.
At the same time, the grinding seam is also properly leveled. Because the two parts of the saw blade are welded with an electron beam, the conicity of the front blade, in the case of the longitudinal saw blade and larger circular saw blades, would first be made possible and thus all the advantages were brought that were previously described for this conicity; are.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing.
Figures 1 and 2 illustrate schematically how a saw blade was Herge according to the old method.
3 and 4 show schematically the production according to the new method.
In Fig. 1, 1 is the tooth part of the saw blade, which consists of a higher quality steel and 2 is the master blade, which can be made from an inferior mate rial. 3 is the weld seam that has arisen during butt welding and shows a weld bead 4 that is created by adding a third material. The tooth part 1 is conical in shape so that the blade merges into the thickness of the master blade.
Fig. 2 shows the different strengths of the tooth part and the master blade, where a: paragraph 5 is ent, which must be adjusted by welding.
3 also shows the tooth part 1 and the master blade 2, both with a rectangular cross section. The tooth part is stronger than the stem. The parts are welded together using an electron beam. This creates a weld seam 3 that has no protrusions or bumps.
Fig. 4 is intended to illustrate how the saw blade electronically welded together from two parts is re-ground. Part 1 shows in dashed lines the original shape after welding, namely the rectangular shape according to FIG. 3.
Part 6 indicates a grinding tool by means of which the corners 7 and 8 of the tooth part are ground down so that the tooth part 1 becomes conical and merges seamlessly into the master blade 2.
