Die durch vorliegende Erfindung geschaffene Rei bungskupplung kennzeichnet sich dadurch, dass die Spreizvorrichtung mit einer Feder mit abfallender Kennlinie zusammenwirkt und die Anpresskraft ;
Friction clutch with torque limitation The invention relates to a friction clutch with torque limitation with a un ter spring action friction surface and a spreader which changes the spring tension with the torque transmitted. Such clutches are used to maintain as constant a torque as possible, even if the coefficient of friction changes during operation.
Known clutches of this type, however, are only able to compensate for relatively minor changes in the coefficient of friction if the pressure springs used are not selected to be very large and so the clutch also has quite extensive dimensions. Many areas of application,; the coupling, however, require small external dimensions. Another disadvantage of such clutches is that the limit torque also changes with the wear on the clutch facings.
The friction clutch created by the present invention is characterized in that the spreading device cooperates with a spring with a sloping characteristic curve and the contact pressure;
controls the spring on friction members, the expansion path is matched to the identifier of the spring in such a way that as the torque increases due to the increase in the coefficient of friction, the contact force of the spring decreases and the spring tension increases as the coefficient of friction decreases, for the purpose of those occurring during operation To keep fluctuations in the Reibwer tes the product of the latter and the contact pressure at least approximately constant.
In a further embodiment of the invention, a hub-shaped coupling part can be provided on a flange-like approach with bores, in each of which a pair of balls is arranged, which is supported against recesses in Iden on both sides of the flange-like approach arranged clutch disks.
These depressions are advantageously designed to be curved. The outer surfaces of the clutch disks act preferably against friction linings, which in turn bear partly on the housing and partly on a support disk guided in the housing.
Between the support disc, which eats axially displaceable but not rotatable, in the housing and on the hub-shaped coupling part, a plate spring is preferably clamped, the tension of which can be adjusted by connecting screws, which axially move and hold a coupling part against a housing part .
In the clutches according to the invention, lamellar clutch bodies known per se can also be used, which are also housed in a housing and which are partly in engagement with the housing, partly with the hub-shaped coupling body via recesses, and by disc springs via a axially displaceable in the housing,
but non-rotatably attached support disc are acted upon, with spherical expansion bodies being mounted in recesses in such a way that they change the tension of the disc springs when the torque changes.
The clutch designed according to the invention can also have friction jaws in place of the friction disks, which are supported on a clutch part and are pressed against another clutch part by spring force. The friction jaws are guided radially and tangentially by spring elements that are used in a working area with a descending identifier and regulate the promotion of the friction jaws through their respective tension.
The arrangement is such that the tension of the spring elements decreases with increasing frictional force in such a way that the product of the contact pressure and the coefficient of friction remains almost or entirely constant.
For this purpose, between the friction bake and the spring elements rolling elements can be arranged that rest in curved depressions. The slope of the curves is coordinated with the identifier of the spring elements and the possible fluctuations in the coefficient of friction in such a way that the product of the contact pressure and the coefficient of friction remains almost or completely constant.
The spring elements can be designed and arranged in such a way that they act as flexure springs, but with the special feature that elastic deformation occurs when forces act from two different directions.
The bending springs are expediently designed in a wave-like manner and have a preload in both the transverse and the longitudinal axis, so that the identifier has an apex. In a particularly simple embodiment, the curved recess, in which a rolling element supported against the friction jaws rests, is formed from a bend in the spring element.
Furthermore, the spring elements can be supported with their ends against bearing bolts provided with depressions, which are adjustably mounted on a coupling part, so that the bias of the spring elements can be regulated.
The friction clutch according to the invention it makes it possible, regardless of the coefficient of friction, to maintain a uniform torque after exceeding a limit torque that is also constant to a previously unknown extent. The spring means can be made very small, so that the space required by the coupling and its manufacturing costs are low. The deviations from the coefficient of friction that occur during operation, including the difference between static and sliding friction, can be compensated for.
However, the influence of the centrifugal forces acting on the friction jaws as a result of the automatic adjustment of the contact pressure to the circumferential force present in each case can be compensated within the speeds that occur in practice.
In the event of wear on the friction surfaces, the special shape of the spring elements means that the limit torque remains constant because the spring, which expands with wear, initially increases the contact pressure and: thus the pressure that occurs in the bearing and pivot points due to wear, the spring force-reducing length change in the spring elements compensates.
Several exemplary embodiments of the concept of the invention are shown in the drawing. It shows: FIG. 1 a coupling with two friction disks, between which a friction lining is inserted, partially in section, FIG. 2 a section through the expansion member @ of this coupling, FIG. 3 a multi-disc coupling according to the same principle in section , FIG. 4 shows the expansion element of the coupling according to FIG. 3,
Fig. 5 shows the characteristic curve of a plate spring for such a clutch with indication of the usable working range of the spring, Fig. 6 shows a friction clutch according to (the inven tion with jaws seen in the axial direction, partially cut, and Fig. 7 is a side view with partial section.
In the friction disc clutch according to FIG. 1, the drive hub 1 carries a plurality of bores attached to the periphery of a flange-like projection in which balls 2, 3 are axially displaceable, which are supported against depressions which are 4 and 5 mounted in clutch disks. The coupling disks 4-5 are rotatable, partly on the drive hub 1, partly in the housing 11. Their depressions are curved in accordance with FIG. 2.
The clutch disks 4 and 5 are supported on the friction linings 6 and 7 against a flange 8 on the drive hub of the clutch and against a support disk 9, which is axially displaceable and rotatable on the hub 1, but not rotatable in the housing 11, but axially Is slidably arranged. Three adjusting screws 12 connect the housing 11 to the flange 8 in such a way that the distance between the housing 11 and the flange 8 can be adjusted, the space between the housing 11 and the support disc 9 in which a disc spring 10 is located is changed. The tension of the plate spring 10 is changed with the adjustment of the Spannschrau 12 ben.
The plate spring is set so that its' preload according to FIG. 5 lies behind the apex of the characteristic curve, so that its force effect decreases with further compression.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, lamellae 6 are arranged in the housing 11, which partly engage in the external teeth of the hub 1 and partly in the internal teeth of a driver ring 4. A multi-part plate spring 10 acts on the lamellae via a support disk 9 and its tension is in turn changed by the balls 2, which are arranged in recesses in the housing 11 and in the pressure ring 5.
The bias: the multi-part plate spring 10 can be adjusted by a screw ring 12, wel cher is screwed with its external thread into an internal thread of the housing 11.
The operation of the coupling according to FIG. 1 is as follows. When the coefficient of friction increases, the disks 4, 5 are spread further apart by the balls 2, 3 and the disc fibers 10 are pressed together. Since this spring is used in the sloping work area according to FIG. 5, the contact pressure drops.
By correctly choosing the spring rate and the possible expansion path in the expansion element 2, 3, 4, 5 in coordination with the fluctuations in the coefficient of friction that occur in practice, it is possible to keep the product of the contact pressure and the coefficient of friction constant. Conversely, when the coefficient of friction decreases, the plate spring 10 is relieved, with an increase in the spring force as a result of the falling characteristic curve. The coupling according to FIG. 3 operates on the same principle.
Here, too, the pre-tensioning of the plate spring 10 is changed as a function of the friction value via the spreading elements 11, 2, 5 so that the product of contact pressure, pressure and friction value remains constant. According to the invention, other spring means with a falling characteristic curve can also be used.
The friction shoe clutch according to FIGS. 6 and 7 is built onto a driven spline hub 1. With the same cover plates 2 and 3 are welded, which bear bolts 5 in bores 4 specially profiled. The latter are provided with adjusting levers 6 and can be adjusted and determined with the help of Schlitzführun conditions 7 and grub screws 8. The grooves 9 in the bearing bolts 5 serve as abutments for wave-shaped leaf springs 10, which are pretensioned both in their longitudinal axis and in the transverse axis.
Approximately in or in the middle or wellenförmi gene leaf springs 10 each has a rolling element 12 mounted in a recess, which is supported at the same time against a corresponding recess 14 of the friction shoes. The limiting curves of the depressions are chosen so that when the friction jaws 13 are shifted clockwise, the preload of the leaf spring 10 changes to such an extent that the torque is maintained even after the permissible limit is exceeded.
The effect described can be achieved because the leaf springs 10 are pretensioned in their longitudinal axis and the sloping part of the identifier is used.
The mode of operation of the clutch in operation is as follows: As the coefficient of friction increases, the leaf springs 10 are bent inwards by the friction shoes 6 taken with them in a clockwise direction via the rolling elements 12.
However, since the springs are used in the sloping working area, the contact pressure is reduced. The product of the contact force and the coefficient of friction can be kept constant by appropriate selection of the spring rate and the possible expansion path in coordination with the fluctuations in the coefficient of friction that occur in practice. Conversely, when the coefficient of friction decreases, the leaf springs 10 are relieved of the load, the spring force increasing.
The same process occurs when the pressure in the jaws 6 changes due to centrifugal forces. Here, too, the desired constant torque is inevitably established. By appropriate dimensioning, the spring detection can turn to the possible changes in its length due to wear and there with its voltage.
