Bettflasche
Fig. 1 eine Bettflasche in Stirnansicht,
Fig. 2 eine Seitenansicht zu Fig. 1,
Fig. 1 und 2) bzw. f (ve.
Bed bottle
The invention relates to a bed bottle which is particularly suitable for use in hospital operations.
Bed bottles are known which have an essentially circular cylindrical shape. If you put such bed bottles with their outer surfaces on a flat surface, e.g. B. a table top that is not exactly horizontal, there is a risk that the bed bottles roll off.
In order to avoid this disadvantage, bed bottles with an essentially triangular ode. trapezoidal cross-section is used. These bed bottles have sufficient stability and their sloping side surfaces also adapt well to the human body to be heated.
However, they have the major disadvantage that, due to their edges, they cause pressure points on the human body, especially when the bed bottle is located below the patient's back.
The same disadvantage have the also known bed bottles with a rectangular, in particular a square cross-section, which were created for a special type of bed bottle. to use warmer.
There are three types of bottle warmers known in hospitals, which differ from one another in terms of their design due to the type of heat transfer.
One of these types is an apparatus consisting of a sheet metal box; Through openings in the same, the bed bottles are pushed into the cavity of the apparatus and held in the pushed-in position by metal rods. The bed bottles are heated by a heating element installed in the base of the apparatus by means of the heated air rising upwards.
The second type also consists of a closed container in which heat pipes are attached, which have an opening on the front panel of the apparatus for receiving the bed bottles. This device is filled with a heat-conducting liquid, which is also heated by heating elements on the floor.
In the third type, several electrically heated trays are arranged one above the other on which the last-mentioned bed bottles of rectangular cross-section are heated next to each other in order to make the greatest possible use of the heating space above the trays.
The invention is intended to avoid the disadvantages of the previously known bed bottles.
The object on which the invention is based is to create a bed bottle which, on the one hand, does not tend to roll, but on the other hand also does not generate any pressure points on the user's body, but adapts well to the body part to be heated.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by a bed bottle which is characterized by a shape such that it has only a single stable position of equilibrium when it is placed on a plane in the region of its outer surface.
In the drawing, the subject of the invention is shown schematically using an exemplary embodiment, namely show:
1 shows a bed bottle in front view,
FIG. 2 shows a side view of FIG. 1,
3 shows two bed bottles according to FIGS. 1 and 2 placed next to one another with their standing surfaces, in a perspective view,
4 shows the front view of a bed bottle warmer of the second type mentioned in the introduction to the description, a pair of bed bottles according to FIG. 3 being pushed into each of the uppermost heat pipes, and FIG
FIG. 5 shows a plan view of the bed bottle warmer according to FIG. 4.
The bed bottle 1 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 has an essentially circular segment-shaped cross-section, the central angle of the rice segment being 180, so that the chord length s is twice as large as the arch height '/ h. This results in a single stable equilibrium position when supporting the bed bottle in the area of its one telfläche by a plane, namely when the bed bottle rests with its flat lateral surface on the support plane; at the same time, the bed bottle with its curved outer surface adapts to the body part that is easily warmed up without creating pressure points.
In order to obtain an even flatter bed bottle for special purposes, where h <2, the central angle of the circle segment could of course be chosen to be less than 180. But the embodiment shown in Fig. 1 also has a particular advantage that will be described below be:
If two of the bed bottles shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 are placed against one another with their standing surfaces, they have a substantially circular area in cross section, so that such a unit consisting of two bed bottles can be inserted into a heat pipe 2 of a bed bottle warmer 3 according to FIG can.
This makes it possible to continue using an existing bed bottle warmer of this type, the heat pipes of which are characterized by an excellent heat transfer to the bottles compared to trays, since the air gap between the heat pipe and the bottle jacket can be reduced to a minimum due to the round cross-section thus the heat transfer from the device to the bed bottle practically does not suffer any loss.
Another advantage of the new bed bottle is that double the number of bed bottles can be accommodated in the device with the same heat pipe number, although the heat capacity of the individual bottle is only half the heat capacity of a bed bottle with a full circular cross-section.
However, if a bed bottle warmer is not yet available, but has to be created first, a favorable selection of the ratio (cf.
1 and 2) or f (ve. FIGS. 4 and 5) with only slightly enlarged overall dimensions of the apparatus in this compared to previously the double number of bed bottles of the same heat capacity wic are accommodated up to now; because the increase of D or s has an effect on the heat capacity of a bed bottle in the second power, while it does not have a particularly significant influence on the width B and the height H of the apparatus.
Finally, another advantage is made possible by the invention, which consists in the fact that two bed bottles according to the invention can be taken out of the arm with one another and transported as a unit by means of a specially constructed carrying handle. The carrier basket previously used can thus be replaced by a smaller handle. To accommodate the carrying handles, a compartment 4 can be provided in the bed bottle warmer 3 according to FIG. 4 above the heating element, which can also serve to hold reserve bottles and to warm towels and other objects.
Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiment described and shown; Rather, the concept of the invention also includes a bed bottle, the base of which is more or less curved in the same direction as the circular cylindrical surface, i.e. H. a bed bottle with a kidney-shaped cross-section.
