Device for moving a measuring device arranged on a quill
The invention relates to a device for displacing a measuring device arranged on a quill, the displacement being effected by a lifting wedge guided in a housing and inserted between an adjusting screw and the quill.
The known devices of this type are constructed in such a way that there is sliding friction between their parts moving against one another. With the tight fits required on measuring devices, this causes a high force requirement to overcome frictional forces. It also means that when the moving parts are reversed, a so-called reversal margin occurs as a result of the unavoidable play between them and that special measures have to be taken to suppress the reversal margin. The present invention is intended to eliminate the disadvantages described. At the same time, the invention is intended to create a displacement device of the type mentioned, which addresses a small space with a simple design.
According to the invention, these objects are achieved in that the lifting wedge is designed as a plane-parallel plate of small thickness, the wedge surfaces of which are supported in a statically determined manner on roller bearings.
The invention is explained in more detail in the following description with reference to an embodiment shown in the drawing.
It shows in a schematic representation:
1 shows a device for adjusting the height of a measuring table, cut vertically,
FIG. 2 shows the device in section along the line A-B in FIG.
In FIGS. 1 and 2, 1 designates a base frame in which a housing 2 is attached in a manner not shown. The housing has a recess 3 for receiving parts described below and a bore 4. In the bore, a longitudinal groove bearing 5 is arranged, in which a sleeve 6 is axially displaceable. The quill carries a measuring table 7 at the upper end and is provided with a deep groove ball bearing 9 at the lower end 8. The deep groove ball bearing 9 runs on one wedge surface 10 of a lifting wedge 11. The lifting wedge is designed as a plane-parallel plate of small thickness and its second wedge surface 12 is supported on deep groove ball bearings 13 and 14 which are fastened in the housing 2.
An adjusting screw 15 is screwed into a thread located in the base frame 1. It serves as an abutment of the lifting wedge 11, which, under the load of the quill 6 and the measuring table 7 and due to its inclined support on the deep groove ball bearings 13 and 14, wants to evade to the right and is supported with its end face 16 on it. With a sufficient slope of the wedge surfaces 10, 12 there is therefore a force fit between the quill 6 and the adjusting screw 15.
The lifting wedge 11 is secured against lateral tilting in that it runs with the surface 17 of its plane-parallel side surfaces on deep groove ball bearings 18, 19 and 20 and with the surface 21 on a deep groove ball bearing 22. The deep groove ball bearings 18, 19, 20 are fixedly arranged in the housing 2, while the deep groove ball bearing 22 sits on a rocker 23, which is loaded by the force of a tension spring 24 so that the lifting wedge 11 is pressed against the counter bearing. The rolling direction of the deep groove ball bearings 18, 19, 20 and 22 runs parallel to the wedge surface 12.
If you exert a leftward force on the end face 16 of the lifting wedge 11 by turning the adjusting screw 15, the lifting wedge rolls between the deep groove ball bearings 9, 13 and 14 in a statically determined manner, whereby it is canceled according to the slope of the wedge surface 12. The sleeve 6 supported on the wedge surface 10 by means of the deep groove ball bearing 9 is consequently canceled in accordance with the slopes of the two wedge surfaces 10 and 12 and the slope of the adjusting screw thread.
If small height adjustments of the quill 6 are required, the slope of the wedge surface 10 will first be selected to be smaller than that shown in FIG. 1.
This has the advantage that the lateral forces on the quill 6 decrease. It is also possible to provide a slope of the wedge surface 10 which corresponds qualitatively to that of the wedge surface 12 and is only quantitatively different from it. In the case of the above-mentioned transmission ratios of the adjusting screw 15 to the sleeve 6, however, it is necessary to establish the force fit between the sleeve 6 and the adjusting screw 15 by a B. between the lifting wedge 11 and the base frame 1 attached tension spring to secure. However, it is essential that the statically determined mounting of the lifting wedge 11, which is necessary for the unambiguous function of the device, is retained.
