Mixing mechanism for the mixing components of tooth fillings
The main patent describes a mechanically driven mixer designed as a shaking mechanism for the mixing components of dental fillings with an elongated, essentially horizontally arranged mixing container that can be set in shaking motion. The mixing mechanism is characterized in that the mixing container is pivotable about an axis lying transversely to its longitudinal axis outside the center of the container length and at its end closest to this axis is connected to a drive for an oscillating pivoting movement of the container and that at its non-driven end a removable, mixed dental filling receiving cap is attached.
The present invention relates to a further development of that of the main patent. According to the present invention, the mixer is characterized by a mixing container consisting of a horizontal part and a vertical part, the vertical part of which is directly connected to the output part of the metering part, and a mixing container that is firmly connected to the mixing container and is arranged in the longitudinal axis of the vertical part in the base plate rotatably mounted pin which represents the axis of rotation of the mixing container.
The accompanying drawing shows a preferred embodiment and is intended to provide a better understanding of the concept of the invention.
The mixing container consists of the horizontal part 41 and the vertical part 42; the two parts merge into one another through a curve.
The vertical part 42 adjoins the outlet part 43 of the metering part; it is pushed onto the outlet part 43 with the sealing sleeve 44 here.
The pin 46, which is movably mounted in the base plate 45, is firmly connected to the vertical part 42 of the mixing container; it represents the axis of rotation of the mixing container 41/42.
The rotary movement is caused here by the fact that the vertical part 42 is eccentrically connected to the drive shaft of the motor (not shown) via the connecting rod 47.
Compared to the device described in the main patent, the present invention has the following advantages:
The direct connection between the funnel and the mixing tube means that the mixture components are easily thrown into the mixing cap without any obstacles. Furthermore, due to this connection and the special mounting of the mixing part, there is no longer any wear compared to the earlier movable connection by means of a rubber hose.
A loosening of the connection between the mixing tube and the metering part is practically impossible during use, in contrast to the previous type of connection with the movable rubber hose.
Due to the modified new bearing, the drive could be made simpler and designed in such a way that any desired oscillation range of the metering tube can easily be achieved with the corresponding eccentric.
