Shadow measuring device The invention relates to a shadow measuring device, in particular for determining the shadow cast of projected buildings on the basis of models.
The determination of the shadows cast by structures is essential for the environment in which the structure is to be built. It is also useful to know exactly how much sunlight falls inside a building before it is built.
To make models of construction projects far from their later locations and at any time in one of the. To be able to illuminate the actual conditions of the whole course of the year and check for their shadows, the invention provides to arrange a measuring table for receiving the model in question at a fixed distance from a fixed light source and with an articulated, rotatable around several axes To provide plate on which the model of the building is placed.
The measuring table top can be adjusted according to the time of year and day and according to latitude so that the incidence of light from the light source corresponds to the incidence of the sun's rays in reality, according to the set values.
As a light source, a headlamp with paral lelem beam of at least the cross section of the projection of the measuring table top can serve. However, a lamp can also be used as long as the error resulting from the non-parallel rays compared to reality remains within permissible limits due to a correspondingly long path of the rays.
If the distance between the light source and the model is limited, the path of the light rays can be multiplied by reflection. In the drawing, exemplary embodiments of the invention are shown, namely FIGS. 1 to 3 show the mutual arrangement of light source and shadow measuring table and FIGS. 4 and 5 show a measuring table in detail.
In Fig. 1, a headlight with a parallel light beam from the cross-section of the Projek tion of the measuring table is used as a light source, Fig. 2 is a lamp with a cone-shaped beam used as a light source at a greater distance from the measuring table, Fig. 3 also serves as a light source with a cone-shaped lamp Beams of rays, the path of the light rays is doubled by back reflection, Fig. 4 is a shadow measuring table in side view and in Fig. 5 is shown in back view.
A stand of the shadow measuring table, rotatably mounted on a vertical axis (STA), carries a movable structure with a horizontal axis, the annual axis <I> (JA). </I> The bearing body of the daily rotating axis can pivot about this year <I> (TA) </I> can be pivoted by a lever (JH).
The annual scale (JS) is arranged separately rotatable around the same annual swivel axis <I> (JA) </I>, but can be permanently coupled to the bearing body of the daily rotation axis. The corresponding year hand (JZ) remains firmly connected to the carrier of the year swivel axis.
Mounted in the bearing body of the day rotation axis <I> (TA) </I> by a lever (TH) so that it can rotate around the day axis, the bearing body of the latitude swivel axis <I> (BA) rests. </ I> On the day scale (TS), which is divided into 360 = 24 hours, the pointer (TZ) can be used to read each set time of day.
The measuring table plate (P) rests in the bearing body of the latitude swivel axis <I> (BA), </I> pivotable about this. A set latitude inclination can be read off with the pointer (BZ) on the scale (BS).
For a model shadow investigation, the latitude location of the object to be examined is first set by pivoting the measuring table top (P) about the latitude pivot axis <I> (BA) </I>. This setting remains unchanged in the further course of the investigation.
Then the measuring table top (P) is aligned towards the light source with the help of a sighting device (V) by rotating around the vertical axis (STA) and around the annual pivot axis <I> (JA) </I>. In this position, the year scale (JS) is brought to the middle position, corresponding to the same day and night, to the pointer (JZ) and then clamped to the bearing body of the day rotation axis. The carrier of the annual swivel axis is firmly connected to the stand.
The device is now ready for shadow measurement. Using the two levers (JH) and (TH), the measuring table top (P) with the model attached to it can be rotated around the year axis <I> (JA) </I> and the day axis <I> (TA) </I> according to the season and hour of the day are inclined against the direction of incidence of light. On the time of day scale (TS), the set angle of the day can be read off as a daily hourly value.
The set inclination of the day axis, which corresponds to the desired season, can be read as a monthly value on the season scale (JS).
In contrast to reality, with the shadow measuring table, the inclination of the day axis is changed in just one plane. Thanks to the central symmetry of the sun, there is no deviation from reality for the illumination of the model on the shadow measuring table.
