Process for processing the foam formed from natural and / or artificial fibers when printed waste paper or similar fiber structures are floated, waste paper or the like from natural. and / or artificial fibers existing fiber structures form one. valuable raw material for the production of fresh paper or the like.
For this purpose the fibers are regenerated, i.e. H. the fiber clusters broken down into individual fibers and unwanted substances such as B. the applied during printing printing ink or other printing inks, but also binders or the like., Detached from the fibers and then separated from these ge.
The fibers are regenerated by dissolving the waste paper or the like in a liquid (so-called whipping) and then coarse cleaning, deflaking and softening of the suspension that has formed. The float is used in particular to remove the waste materials and / or the printer's ink
or other printing inks from the suspension. If soap-like flotation agents are added to the suspension, the majority of which form flakes during flotation in the presence of metal ions as collectors for the printing ink particles to be discharged, while the rest acts as a frother, i.e. H.
the finely distributed gas bubbles introduced into the suspension are stabilized, the waste materials and / or printing ink or ink particles detached from the waste paper fibers and finely distributed in the suspension are collected in the foam rising to the surface of the suspension during flotation,
while the cleaned fibers remain distributed in the suspension.
The provision of the fresh water required to produce the suspension and the disposal of the flotation wastewater, which mainly contains the waste materials and / or the printing ink and printing ink particles, but also flotation oils and the like. like
contains, caused considerable, sometimes insurmountable difficulties in the previously used working methods, on the one hand because too little fresh water was available, and on the other hand because the wastewater could only be converted into a relatively thin and difficult to dispose of in this form pulp.
In order to overcome these difficulties, according to the invention, a method for processing the printed,
in water on floated waste paper or similar fiber dressings consisting of natural and / or artificial fibers by adding soap-like flotation agents to the suspension containing metal ions and proposed to be stripped from the surface of the expansion,
in which the foam is extinguished and the pumpable sludge formed is separated into a thick matter containing the waste materials and / or the printing ink and printing ink particles with a dry content of about 30-40% and into a clean clarifying liquid that can be reused in flotation.
To carry out this process, a continuously working screw centrifuge or an intermittently working centrifuge is connected after the flotation cells equipped with devices for adding flotation agents.
the latter with the interposition of compensation tanks between the floating cells and the centrifuge.
Systems equipped with centrifuges for regenerating the fibers contained in printed waste paper or similar fiber assemblies consisting of natural and / or artificial fibers are described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
in which the individual components are symbolically represented in the manner customary in circuit diagrams and in which the same devices are identified with the same reference numbers and the same substances occurring in the work process are identified with the same reference letters.
Fig. 1 shows the - scheme of a system with a screw centrifuge, Fig. 2 the corresponding scheme of another, provided with an intermittently working centrifuge and the necessary compensating tanks for ripping waste paper.
In the system shown in FIG. 1 for floating printed waste paper or the like.
the whipped and deflaked substance A is placed in a mixing cell 8 upstream of the flotation cells <B> 9 "</B> 911 <B> ... </B> 9v, 10 by adding dilution water C to the for the flotation brought the most suitable concentration of 0.8 to 1.0% and a pH value between 6.5 and 7.1,
and mixed with aqueous soft soap solution as flotation agent G. The remaining amount of flotation agent G is in the. Flotation cells <B> 91 ... </B> 9v are added, in which the required air is added to the suspension in fine bubbles.
When using a two-stage. Occasionally a small amount of flotation agent G is mixed into the flotation device in the first cell 10 of the secondary stage.
The accepted stock Z of the last flotation cell 9v of the primary stage 9 is fed to the paper mill for further processing, while the flotation cells <B> 9 "91,
... </B> 9v the foam stripped from the primary stage is extinguished with water and, when using a single-stage flotation device 9, the sludge formed is immediately fed to the centrifuge,
when using a two-stage flotation device, on the other hand, the cell 10 of the secondary stage is fed to the post-flotation.
The accepted material obtained in the secondary stage is fed back to the mixing cell 8, while the foam of the flotation cell 10 of the secondary stage is converted into pulp Y and this is thickened in the centrifuge.
For this purpose, the pulp Y is fed to a screw centrifuge 21, where it is separated into the thick matter U, which has a dry content of 30-40%, and into the clean sewage water V, which is free of waste materials.
The latter is fed back in the circuit to the mixing cell 8 upstream of the flotation cells 9, 9, 9, 10. The thick matter U is removed, for example brought to the steam generation plant of the paper mill for heating .
The system shown in Fig. 2 works on the same principle. There the pulp Y formed from the flotation foam of the secondary stage 10 of the flotation device is fed to a collecting container 23,
from which the intermittently operating centrifuge 22 is fed. The thick matter U, centrifuged to a dry content of 30-40%, is brought to the steam generating plant of the paper mill for heating.
After each operation of the centrifuge 22, the sewage water V, which is free of the waste materials, is fed to a collecting container 24 and from there continuously to the mixing cell 8 of the flotation device.
