Closure device for a material removal opening of a vibratory conveyor
The invention relates to a closure device for a material removal opening of a vibratory conveyor, which is arranged in a channel bottom, with a closing element which is connected to an actuating device which communicates a high speed to the closing element during the closing process.
This actuating device can consist, for example, of a toggle mechanism connected with its pivotable parts to the channel, one of which is designed as a compression spring, one end of which is held pivotably on the channel frame and at its other end is articulated to one end of the second toggle arm is, and the other toggle arm is fixedly arranged on a shaft mounted transversely to the channel in the channel frame.
Closing devices for vibratory conveyors are known in which a material removal opening arranged in the bottom of the conveyor trough can be closed by means of a flap. The flap is mounted on the conveyor trough so that it can pivot downwards. The flap is actuated with the help of a pneumatically operated cylinder, the piston rod of which is connected to the flap via a pivot lever and a leaf spring, or with the aid of a toggle mechanism under spring pressure. It has been shown that when such a flap is closed, even if the closing process takes place very quickly, good parts can be clamped between the sealing strip and the flap. A gap then remains between the sealing strip and the flap through which the material to be conveyed is still discharged.
It is also known to close the material removal opening in the bottom of a transport device with a slide guided transversely to the conveying direction. Since the closing movement of the slide takes place transversely to the conveying direction, it can easily happen that parts of the conveyed material are caught by the stop edge of the slide and are clamped between this and the corresponding sealing strip.
In this embodiment too, a gap often remains through which conveyed material is discharged in an undesirable manner.
The invention is based on the object of creating a closure device with a closing member for a material removal opening of a vibratory conveyor which, in the closed position, enables the material removal opening to be properly sealed.
In order to achieve this object, the closure device according to the invention is characterized in that the closure member is designed as a slide and that the actuating device is set up to give the slide a speed during the closing process in the conveying direction which is greater than the conveying speed of the goods in the channel .
Because the slide moves in the conveying direction during the closing process, at a speed that is greater than the conveying speed of the goods, in one embodiment it is advantageously achieved that the stop edge of the slide hits the sealing strip before the Conveyed good reaches this point.
This reliably prevents parts of the conveyed material from becoming trapped between the stop edge of the slide and the sealing strip during the closing process.
In a further embodiment, the actuating device is designed as a toggle mechanism, in which a toggle lever arm is designed as a compression spring, which is held at one end pivotably on the channel frame and at its other end is articulated to one end of the second toggle lever arm, while the other end of the second toggle lever arm is fixedly arranged on a shaft mounted transversely to the channel in the channel frame. The actuating device can, however, also be designed as a tensioning mechanism or the like in some other way.
On the shaft of the toggle mechanism, at least one operating lever can be firmly connected to the shaft, and the free end of the operating lever can slide against two oppositely directed attack surfaces of the slide, so that by turning the shaft, for. B. by means of a hand lever, the toggle system is moved over the dead center position and then automatically brought into the closed or open end position by the force of the springs and thus the slide can be opened or closed. At least two actuating levers can advantageously be held on the shaft, with all actuating levers being designed to be elastic or connected to elastic elements in such a way that the force is transmitted to the slide evenly via all levers.
For this purpose, the actuating levers can advantageously be held rotatably on the shaft and, in addition, one or more intermediate pieces can be fastened to the shaft, which can act on the actuating levers with the interposition of elastic elements.
In a particularly advantageous manner, the slide can be supported on elastic bodies in such a way that it rests against the bottom of the channel under pressure. This ensures that the removal opening is properly closed on all sides when the slide is closed.
A stop or sealing strip made of an elastic material can also be provided on the edge of the material removal opening opposite the closing edge of the slide, so that the closing edge of the slide in the closed position adjoins the sealing strip with a good seal.
The edge of the material removal opening opposite the closing edge of the slide can be beveled on the inside, that is to say have the shape of a cutting edge; this can prevent even the smallest quantities of the conveyed material from becoming trapped between a conveying pipe and the slide.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the subject invention is shown, namely show:
1 shows a side view of a slide gate valve for the discharge opening on a conveyor pipe,
FIG. 2 shows a cross section through the slide valve closure along lines A-C and B-C in FIG. 1.
The illustrated swinging conveying pipe 1, conveying in the direction of arrow P, has an extraction opening 2 in its bottom. This extraction opening is surrounded by a downwardly extending guide chute 3 and is closed by a slide 4 which rests on the bottom of the conveying pipe from the outside and is operated by means of two laterally welded cams 5 can be pushed back and forth via two slotted levers 6 through a shaft 7, which lies transversely to the conveying pipe.
The shaft 7 is rotatably mounted on both sides within the framework of the device. The two slotted levers 6 are rotatably arranged on the shaft 7 and secured against lateral displacement by adjusting rings 8. The power transmission from the shaft 7 to the slotted lever 6 takes place via a connecting piece 9, which is firmly connected to the shaft 7 by means of dowel pins 10 and an axle 11 in its upper part, held by an elastic connection
12, which connects the two levers 6. The elastic connection 12 ensures a parallel application of force on the two laterally welded cams 5 of the slide.
Two toggle lever systems attached laterally outside the frame each consist of a telescopically encapsulated spring 13, one end of which is pivotably mounted about a bolt 14. The other end of the spring 13 is connected with the aid of a spring sleeve 16 in an articulated manner by a bolt 17 to a lever 15 which is rigidly attached to the shaft 7. With nuts 18, the tensioning force of the springs 13 can be adjusted so that the slide 4 is under spring pressure in the closed as well as in the open state. The tensioning force of the springs 13 is to be adjusted so that the slide either remains firmly closed or open against the vibrating forces that occur during operation.
The arched slide 4 is guided by two laterally welded slide rails 19, which are hollowed out at the bottom, and two support rails 20 rounded at the top. In order to achieve a perfect fit of the slide on the conveying pipe, the support rails 20 are fastened by clamps 21 to rubber springs 22 which are screwed to the frame adjustable with angles 23 by screws 24. When the external switch lever 25 is actuated, the slide 4 is moved very quickly against the sealing strip 26 located at the end of the valve housing after the dead center (in Fig. 1: connecting line between the bolt 14 and shaft 7) has been exceeded by the compression springs of the knee joint. Before the slide hits the sealing strip, it has a greater speed than the material being conveyed, which is conveyed at a speed of approximately 0.3 m / sec.
The slide is thus pushed through under the material layer.
The front edge of the slide has a narrow contact surface; the sealing strip 26 is made of soft, elastic material, for. B. rubber. Due to the pressure of the external compression springs, the front edge of the slide seals perfectly.
The possibility that even the smallest quantities of the conveyed material get stuck between the conveying pipe and slide is effectively reduced by a bevel 27 of the outlet in the conveying pipe.
As shown in FIG. 1, the system for moving the slide can be actuated by an air cylinder 28 with an attached shift fork 29.
The fork moves with its left stop surface a pin 30, which is connected to the shaft 7 by a lever 31, and thus the toggle joints through their central position. As soon as these have passed the middle position, they automatically go to the left end position under the tension of the compression springs 13 and open the slide 4. To close the slide, the toggle joints are actuated by the fork 28 in the opposite direction. The stop surfaces of the fork have at least a distance from one another which, in the end position of the pin 30, excludes any contact between the pin and the stop surfaces.
Similar closure devices can of course also be used with advantage in conveying troughs, conveying troughs, etc. in addition to conveying pipes.
The device for actuating the slide is expediently attached to the conveyor pipe or the Förerrinne as a closed unit in a housing so that it can be replaced.
