(Fig. 1 und 5).
Expansion dowel The invention relates to an expansion dowel, in particular made of plastic, in the rear end of which a fastening screw or the like can be inserted.
Expanding dowels are already known which are slotted over part of their length and the rear end of which has a bore for inserting a fastening screw, whereas the front end is provided with sawtooth-shaped incisions. The corrugation of the expansion of these dowels makes it possible on the one hand to absorb the material displaced by the screw and on the other hand to achieve good anchoring of the dowel in the masonry.
These expansion anchors, however, have the serious disadvantage that the screw is no longer completely guided around its circumference due to the spreading of the expansion tongues while it is being screwed in. This has the consequence that the screw deviate from the desired direction and z. .B comes to lie crooked in a longitudinal slot. The oblique position of the screw not only affects the appearance of the anchorage, but also reduces the anchoring force of the screw.
Furthermore, due to the spreading of the tongues, even in the event that the screw sits coaxially in the dowel, only a few turns come into play, as can be seen particularly from FIG. 6 of the Austrian patent specification No. 214125. Another disadvantage of the known dowels can be seen in the fact that only the unevennesses lying directly in the direction of the radial expansion movement on the outside of the expansion tongues cause the anchoring in the masonry by means of positive locking.
The invention is based on the knowledge that an optimal anchoring of a dowel can be achieved if it is possible to achieve a uniform and as deep as possible form fit with the unevenness of the dowel jacket, which acts on the entire circumference of the borehole as large a part of the turns of the screw as possible should be in engagement with the interior of the anchor. According to the invention, this is achieved in that the dowel body consists at least partially of turns of a screw which lie close to one another or run at a small distance from one another.
According to a special embodiment of the dowel according to the invention, the cross-section of the turns is triangular, the bases of the triangles forming the wall of a central through hole and their outwardly pointing tips preferably being rounded. Accordingly, the outer surface of the dowel is wholly or partially in the form of a pointed thread.
If a screw is screwed into a dowel designed according to the invention, it expands in the radial direction, which can also be done by rolling up its turns. The dowel according to the invention can therefore be used in Mauerlö holes with a much larger diameter without the guidance and centering of the screw used in the expanded dowel experiencing a reduction. When this screw is screwed into the dowel, it exerts an evenly distributed pressure on the wall of the hole in the wall.
If the dowel is made to expand in a dowel hole pre-drilled in soft material, then the windings lying on the dowel circumference, possibly provided with a sharp cutting edge, penetrate deep into the soft material without interruption, with the receiving material penetrating between the threads and filling them . The dowel is expanded radially by continuously rolling up the screw turns of the dowel.
According to a further development of the invention, the windings can be connected to one another by webs preferably running axially. These short, core-near connecting webs between the individual turns are continuously sheared off when the screw penetrates the dowel. Since the thread depth is very large, this means that the anchor is well anchored in the wall hole.
If, however, the dowel is in a dowel hole pre-drilled in hard material, e.g. B. in concrete or the like, applied, so ver form the turns on the outside of the circumference, and the displaced material of the thread tips is pressed into the thread root. The fixing screw inserted into the dowel can be screwed deep into the dowel hole due to the deformation of the thread tips. This creates a strong clamping effect on the fastening screw and ensures that it is well anchored in the dowel hole.
In the drawing, some Ausführungsbei are games of the inventive expansion plug as shown, namely: Fig. 1 shows the expansion plug with a slotted upper part in a meridional section, Fig. 2 is a cross section along the line 11-II in Fig. 1, Fig. 3 is the view of Dowel according to Fig. 1, but with a collar (flange) on the upper part, Fig. 4 is the top view of Fig. 3,
Fig. 5 shows the longitudinal section of a further Ausfüh approximate shape of the dowel with webs and incisions on the core diameter, Fig. 6 shows the top view of the dowel according to FIG. 5, FIG. 7 shows the view of the expansion dowel according to FIG. 5 with half flanges, FIG. 8 shows the plan view on the dowel according to FIG. 7 and FIG. 9 a cross section along the line IX-IX in FIG. 7.
10 shows a dowel in longitudinal section without an upper part and FIG. 11 shows the same dowel in a view.
Fig. 12 illustrates the dowel according to Fig. 10 without the upper part in longitudinal section in soft receiving material with partially screwed wood screw and Fig. 13 shows the expansion dowel according to Fig. 1 in meridional section in soft receiving material with screwed wood screw.
1 and 3 show a dowel 1 according to the invention, the lower end 2 of which consists of turns of a screw which encloses a narrow through-hole 3. Polyamides or similar solid plastics are particularly suitable as the material for the manufacture of the dowel. The upper end of the dowel according to the invention has a sleeve-shaped upper part 4 with a greatly enlarged bore 5. Between the bores 3 and 5 there is a conical transition 6. So that the dowel cannot rotate when the fastening screw 7 is attached, the upper part is provided with several, preferably four fins-like longitudinal ribs 8.
To increase the transmission of radial pressure forces from the screw 7 to the longitudinal ribs 8, two diametrically opposed elevations 9 can be provided in the interior of the sleeve-shaped upper part 4 and at the foot of the longitudinal ribs 8, as shown in FIG. To reduce the rigidity of the upper part 4, two longitudinal slots 10 are provided.
The profile 11 of the helically wound plastic wire is roughly in the shape of an isosceles triangle, the base of which is parallel to the dowel axis and the outwardly directed tips 12 of which are rounded to achieve good penetration and strong anchoring in soft receiving materials.
If the dowel 1 is held against Ver when the screw is screwed into the upper part 4 (see. Fig. 13), the dowel is wrapped left-handed. The friction arising between the screw 7 and the inner hole wall 3 when screwing in then acts in addition to the displacement work of the core 15 of the screw 7 in the sense of rolling up the screw spiral 2. However, if the anchor is held at the base 14 of the borehole 13 (Fig . 12), then the dowel must be designed right-handed because of the friction component between the wall of the hole 3 and the screw 7, which causes the roll to roll.
The production of the anchor is most economical when the anchor axis is in the plane of the parting line between the two halves of the mold used for the manufacture and when this mold half also contains no loose inserts. However, this assumes that the expansion dowel according to the invention does not have any undercut openings 16 (FIG. 10), as would be the case without correction of the thread flanks.
For this purpose, on the one hand, at the thread root of the core diameter that intersect the meridional plane at an acute angle, the helical lines 17 are peeled out by means of incisions 18 and, on the other hand, the undercuts 16 of the flanks 19 of the thread 2 protruding beyond the meridional cut contour are removed (FIGS 7).
To increase the strength of the dowel, the turns can be connected to one another by webs, namely the webs 20 located in the parting line between the two mold halves and the webs 21 located between the incisions 18 on the core diameter are expediently arranged. When screwing in a screw 7, the webs 20 and 21 are partly sheared off, partly set at an angle to the anchor axis.
To limit the insertion depth, the dowel is provided in a known manner on its upper part with a collar 22 (FIGS. 3 and 4). A material and space-saving embodiment of the dowel according to the invention, which proves to be particularly advantageous when space is tight in the vicinity of the borehole 13, is shown in FIGS. 7 and B. In this example, the collar 23 is sickle-shaped. When the anchor according to the invention is used as a push-through anchor, the collar 22 is omitted (FIGS. 1 and 5).
The process of screwing the expansion plug into materials 24 that are not too hard can be seen in FIG. The dowel finds its hold against turning when screwing the fastening screw Be on the base 14 of the borehole 13. According to Fig. 13, longitudinal ribs 8 can be easily seen, which also generated the necessary resistance against turning.
