Description

Detachable swivel connection between two pipes The invention relates to a detachable swivel connection between two pipes, the ends of which telescopically fit into one another, the end of this inner pipe having an annular groove on the circumference, in which the legs of a U-shaped bracket in the outer pipe engage.

In a known connection arrangement of this type, in which the use of an additional thick-walled coupling member is necessary, whoever engages in the annular groove of the inner tube introduces the leg of the retaining bracket into parallel holes in the coupling member.

The invention achieves a substantial improvement and simplification of this known arrangement in that the retaining bracket engages around the outer pipe end and its legs snap into two opposite transverse slots of the outer pipe end.

An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing. 1 shows a perspective view of an atomizing device with a detachable swivel joint for connecting the outlet pipe of the tank to the hose of the device leading to the spray pipe, FIG. 2 a relating to the line 2-2 of FIG gene enlarged sectional view,

3 shows a sectional view along the line 3-3 of FIG. 2, which shows the resilient retaining bracket in the engaged position, and FIG. 4 is a sectional view similar to that in FIG. 3, which disengaged the resilient retaining bracket in its approximately 90 rotated position Position shows.

The spray device shown is composed of a tank or container 10 for receiving the spray solution, a pump 11 fixed in the filling funnel 12 of the tank, an outlet pipe 13 protruding through the tank lid 14 and reaching to the bottom of the tank, into which the spray solution enters and is pushed upwards under the action of the air pressure generated by the pump,

an elastic spray hose 15 detachably attached to the upper protruding end 16 of the outlet pipe 13, a spray pipe 17 held by the worker operating the device and provided with a regulating valve 18 at its upper end, and an adjustable nozzle 19 at the outer end of the spray pipe.

The detachable, swivel joint for connecting the elastic spray hose 15 to the upper, outer end 16 of the outlet pipe 13 consists of a z. B. made of plastic, at its one end 22 jagged hose fitting pipe piece 21. This jagged part engages in the adjoining part 23 of the elastic spray hose 15 and is clamped by a metal ring 24 surrounding it.

At the lower end 25 of the hose fitting 21 there are longitudinally spaced annular grooves 26 and 27, of which the lower groove 27 receives a sealing ring 28 and creates a tight connection to the inner wall of the protruding upper extension 16 of the outlet pipe 13. The upper groove 26 is designed in such a way that it receives the legs 29 and 29a of the retaining bracket 31 made of spring steel.

The legs 29 and 29a of the retaining bracket 31 are held in opposite slots 32 and 32a of the tubular wall of the upper extension 16 of the outlet pipe so that when the lower end of the hose fitting piece 21 is inserted into the tubular extension of the outlet pipe and the The outermost end of the spray hose 15 abuts at the end of this approach, push through the slots 32 and 32a to the upper annular groove 26.

and hold the hose fitting 21 and the elastic spray hose 15 connected to it within the extension.

3 shows the retaining bracket 31 with the legs 29 and 29a in the locked position, in which they engage through the slots 32 and 32a and into the parts of the annular groove 26 aligned with them. In this position, the elastic spray hose, together with its fitting piece 21, is able to rotate with the sealing ring 28 as desired, and ensures an absolutely tight connection between the outlet pipe 13 and the spray hose 15 at all times.

In order to be able to remove the spray hose and fitting piece from the tubular extension 16 of the outlet pipe 13, the retaining bracket only needs to be gripped and moved about 90 from its locked position shown in FIG. 3, which is indicated in FIG ,

can be rotated into the position of FIG. 4 shown in full lines. In the latter position, the legs 29 and 29a have been spread apart by the cam-like action of the connecting parts 33, by which the slots 32 and 32a are separated from one another.

As a result, the retaining bracket protrudes from the ring groove 26 located in the hose adapter 21, so that the adapter 21 and the spray hose can be easily and conveniently released and removed.

In the locked position of the hose fitting 21 shown in Fig. 3 within the extension 16, an absolutely tight connection between the outlet pipe 13 and spray hose 15 is maintained at all times, regardless of the air pressure inside the tank, since the sealing effect of the sealing ring 28 is maintained by this Pressure is increased.

Furthermore, the fitting piece 21 and the spray hose 15 connected to it can rotate as desired, thereby preventing the hose from buckling, which can occur in a non-rotatable connection of the outlet pipe and spray hose.

The alignment of the annular groove 26 of the hose connector or adapter 21 with the legs 29 and 29a of the retaining bracket 31 can be achieved quickly and easily only by the fact that the outermost end 34 of the spray hose 15 is in contact with the upper end of the extension 16 of the outlet pipe 15 is brought. Thus the depth to which the fitting piece can be inserted is also limited by the fact that the hose comes to rest against the attachment,

as shown in Fig. 2 represents.
