Closure element for more or less pressurized containers
The invention relates to a closure element consisting of a screw cap with an inserted rotatable cock plug and a displaceable actuating member reaching outwards over the screw cap with a sealing surface for more or less pressurized containers made of metal, glass, thermosetting or thermoplastic, such as bottles , Tubes, jugs, cans, bags.
The closure elements belonging to the state of the art, as they have hitherto been customary for tubes, bags, bottles etc., are generally characterized by a certain unwieldiness. This awkwardness consists primarily in the fact that both hands must be used in all cases to open the closure and hold the container in question. Many of the previous closure elements show a great deal of wear and tear if they are handled repeatedly or incorrectly, which means that the container, but always the closure element, becomes worthless and the contents must therefore be used up more quickly.
The object of the invention now aims to create a novel closure element for containers. For this purpose, the invention is characterized in that the cock plug and the actuating element are functionally connected to one another, in such a way that when the actuating element is rotated, the inner bore at the point between the screw cap and the cock plug is first sealed off and then the actuating element with its sealing surface is closed over the outer one The bore opening in the screw cap engages in a sealing manner.
An embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing; show it:
1 shows the closure element in the open state in section,
Fig. 2 is a plan view, partially in section along line II-II in Fig. 1,
FIG. 3 shows another view of the closure element according to FIG. 1.
According to FIGS. 1 to 3, the screw cap is denoted by 1. In the screw cap 1 sits a cock plug 2, which is in functional connection with the actuating member 3, which is provided with a sealing surface 3 '. The screw cap 1 has a hole 1 'with a thread for screwing onto the non-visible tube. The cock plug 2 also has a bore 2 '. The actuating member 3 is now connected to the cock plug 2 in such a way that, when it is rotated in the direction of the arrow, the inner bore 2' is first sealed off at the point 2 "between the screw cap 1 and the cock plug 2. Then only the sealing surface 3 'of the actuating member 3 brushes sealingly over the outer bore opening 2'.
The cock plug 2 is cylindrical. However, it can also have any other shape, for example as a cone or the like. The cock plug 2 can be inserted into the screw cap 1 on one side and is held on the opposite side by a circlip 2 "'or the like. The actuating member 3 has teeth on its outer edge 3" so that it is easier to grip by hand when actuated.
The screw cap 1, the cock 2 and the actuator 3 can be made of metal, glass, thermosetting or thermoplastic plastic.
The closure now works in such a way that the actuator 3 is moved by hand in the direction of the arrow. The cock plug 2 rotates and the bore 2 'is closed at point 2 ". Only then does the sealing surface 3' of the actuating member 3 engage over the outer bore opening 2 'in the screw cap 1 and also close the bore 2' from the outside. Practical seen when the organ 3 is actuated, the bore 2 'is closed twice, namely once by the cock plug 2 and on the other hand by the sealing surface 3.
The object of the invention has the particular advantage that it can be easily manufactured as a mass-produced article and represents a secure closure, even when the container in question is under more or less high pressure.
In addition, the tube or the container can be grasped with one hand and at the same time the closure element can be opened or closed with the thumb or index finger.
