Device for automatic stabilization of the target line of a broken telescope The invention relates to a device for the automatic stabilization of the target line of a broken telescope rotatably mounted about a horizontal and a vertical axis, in particular for astronomical-geodetic instruments, which when the.
Telescope around the vertical axis ensures compliance with any given angle of rotation around the horizontal axis (zenith distance).
For all tasks of astronomical location and time determination that are solved by observing the stars at the same zenith distance during a measurement process, it is common to work with very precise vials (Horrebow levels) to record slight changes in the inclination of the target line of the instrument used.
Since, in addition to the time reading, a level reading as well as a corresponding correction calculation must be carried out during the evaluation, this method for the precise detection of the change in the target line is relatively laborious.
It has already been proposed to use an optical deflecting element suspended on the telescope support to tie the target beam to a plumb plane that can be rotated about the vertical axis of rotation of the telescope, and whose always horizontal pen axis of rotation is directed at right angles to the horizontal axis of rotation of the telescope. With this arrangement, however, it is not possible to restrain the aiming beam leaving the objective on a plane which is pivotable about the horizontal axis of rotation of the telescope and which contains this axis.
The device according to the invention enables a new way of precise detection and, moreover, the compensation of slight changes in inclination of the target line in that an optical deflection element is suspended pendulum in the beam path of the broken telescope on a telescope support, the pendulum axis of rotation of which is parallel to the horizontal Axis of rotation of the telescope.
is arranged that at least two reflective surfaces standing at right angles to one another, rotatably arranged about an axis perpendicular to the horizontal axis of rotation of the telescope, are provided which, when the telescope is rotated about the horizontal axis of rotation, together rotate half as much about the said,
Learn about its perpendicular axis and that further reflective surfaces connected to the telescope support are provided, which deflect the target beam at right angles to the horizontal telescope axis.
The use of a pendulum suspended optical deflector for the purpose of automatically leveling the target line of a leveling device is known. In this case, however, the telescope can only be rotated about a vertical axis and the pendulum mirror is always housed in the telescope itself in such a way that its pivot axis is directed at right angles to the target line.
In the subject matter of the invention, however, the optical deflection element is separated from the telescope and newly arranged with its pendulum axis of rotation, which results in the novel effect also in connection with the rotatable on prism.
The device according to the invention eliminates the need to read the level indicator, so that the observer can, for example, concentrate completely on observing the star passages. Furthermore, difficulties in the manufacture of second vials are avoided.
The drawing schematically shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention with zenithal aiming, namely FIG. 1 shows a vertical section of the device containing the tilt axis and FIG. 2 shows a section along the line 2-2 in FIG .
In a telescope 1 rotatable about a horizontal axis K-K and a vertical axis L -L with the objective 2 and the eyepiece 3, two flat, reflective surfaces designed as surface mirrors 4 and 5 are firmly attached so that they participate in all movements of the telescope. With 6 and 6 'two telescope supports are designated,
on which the telescope 1 is rotatably mounted about the axis K-K and both of which belong to the alidade, not shown, with which the telescope rotates about the axis L -L.
In a housing 7 fastened to the telescope support 6 there are two flat reflective surfaces firmly connected to the housing, designed as surface planar mirrors 8 and 9, two together rotatable about an axis XX perpendicular to the horizontal axis KK and arranged perpendicular to one another flat reflective surfaces 10 and 10 ', which can be the roof surfaces of a right-angled prism 10 ",
and an optical deflection element in the form of a plane mirror 11, which is mounted in a mount 12, is suspended by means of a flexible rocker 13 on the housing 7, oscillating about an axis YY parallel to the axis of rotation KK and always moves into the same under the influence of gravity Sets the angle to the perpendicular: The mirror 5 is broken through at one point 14.
The beam coming from the lens passes through this recess under the action of the plane mirror 11 and the prism 10 "always at the same point of a crosshair 15 arranged in the eyepiece image plane. The telescope 1 and the prism 10" are connected to one another by one not shown for the sake of simplicity Movement mechanism connected in such a way that a rotation of the telescope about the axis KK causes half the rotation of the prism about the axis X -X .
With this assignment of telescope 1 and prism 10 ″ it is achieved that, despite aiming at different zenith distances, the zenithal direction of the image always forms a right angle with the pendulum rotation axis YY of the plane mirror 11. This means that the function of the pendulum mirror is to automatically compensate for small changes in the zenith distance during the measurement.
