Description
Vorrichtung zum Verschliessen von Behältern mittels eines unter Wärmeeinwirkung schrumpffähigen Kunststoffilms
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Verschliessen von Behältern mittels eines unter Wärmeeinwirkung schrumpffähigen Kunststofffilms, mit einem zum Niederhalten des Kunststofffilms auf dem zu verschliessenden Behälter bestimmten, den Behälterrand übergreifenden, vertikal verschiebbar geführten Stempel.
Gemäss der Erfindung ist diese Vorrichtung dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass koaxial unterhalb des Stempels eine durch Federkraft in ihrer oberen Endlage gehaltene, vertikal verschiebbar geführte, horizontale Platte zur Auflage des Behälters angeordnet ist, unterhalb welcher sich eine Heizeinrichtung sowie ein Gebläse zur Erzeugung eines Heissluftstromes befinden, dass ferner Kanäle vorgesehen sind, die den Heissluftstrom bei durch den abwärtsgeführten Stempel niedergedrückter Auflageplatte der Randpartie des über den Behälterrand vorstehenden Kunststoffilms zuführen, das Ganze derart, dass bei eingeschalteter Heizung sowie auf der Platte aufgelegtem Behälter und zwischen dem Stempel und dem Behälter eingelegtem Kunststoffilm, durch Betätigung der Vorrichtung der Stempel, unter Andrücken des Kunststoffilms auf den Behälterrand, abwärts bewegt wird,
wobei er den Behälter mit der Auflageplatte entgegen der Federkraft mit nach unten drückt, in welcher Lage der Heissluftstrom das Einschrumpfen der überstehenden Kunststoffilmrandpartie unterhalb des Behälterrands unter Anlegen an denselben bewirkt, wodurch ein dichter Verschluss des Behälters und eine feste Verbindung des Kunststoffilms mit dem Behälter entsteht.
Zwei Ausführungsbeispiele der erfindungsgemässen Vorrichtung sind in der Zeichnung dargestellt. Es zeigen
Fig. 1 eine schaubildliche Darstellung der Vorrichtung nach der ersten Ausführung mit teilweise geschnittenem Stempel;
Fig. 2 einen Vertikalschnitt durch den Arbeitstisch und Stempel der Vorrichtung nach Blatt 1, in grösserem Masstab gezeichnet, und
Fig. 3 mehr schematisch einen Vertikalschnitt durch eine Vorrichtung nach der zweiten Ausführung mit hydraulisch betätigbarem Stempel.
Die in den Fig. 1 und 2 dargestellte Vorrichtung zum Verschliessen von Behältern mittels eines unter Wärmeeinwirkung schrumpffähigen Kunststoffilms besitzt einen kastenförmigen, Tischhöhe aufweisenden Ständer 1, der an seiner Oberseite eine horizontale Tischplatte 2 trägt. In einem kreisförmigen Ausschnitt dieser Tischplatte 2 ist eine im Grundriss der Form des Ausschnittes angepasste, horizontale Platte 3 eingesetzt. Dieselbe trägt an ihrer Unterseite einen axialen Führungszapfen 4, der in eine Führungsbüchse 5 ragt, die stirnseitig auf einer mit Abstand parallel zur Tischplatte, unterhalb derselben, im Ständer 1 fest angeordneten Grundplatte 6 abgestützt ist. Die Platte 3 ist mit ihrem Führungszapfen 4 in der Büchse 5 vertikal innerhalb gewisser Grenzen verschiebbar geführt.
Eine zur Büchse 5 koaxial zwischen der Platte 3 und der Grundplatte 6 eingelegte Druckfeder 7 hält dabei die Platte 3 in ihrer oberen Ausgangsposition, in welcher ein am Aussenumfang der Platte 3 angeordneter konischer Bund 3a den kreisförmigen Ausschnitt in der Tischplatte 2 verschlossen hält. Gleichzeitig dient der genannte Bund 3a als Endbegrenzungsanschlag für die Platte 3 in der Kraftrichtung der Feder 7. Die Oberseite der Platte 3 trägt eine dem Grundriss der Bodenfläche des zum Verschliessen daraufzustellenden Behälters 8 angepasste Zentrierplatte 9.
Der unterhalb der Auflageplatte 3 zwischen der Grundplatte 6 und der Tischplatte 2 liegende Raum ist durch einen vertikalstehenden Kreisring 10 abgegrenzt, während ausserhalb dieses Ringes 10 zwischen der Tisch- und der Grundplatte ein thermischer Isolierstoff 11 eingebracht ist. An der Unterseite der Grundplatte 6 ist ein Zentrifugalgebläse 12 befestigt, dessen geförderte Luft durch Schlitze 13 in den durch den Ring 10 begrenzten Raum geführt ist, in welchem sich eine elektrische Heizvorrichtung 14 befindet. Ausserdem ist an der Unterseite der Auflageplatte 3, koaxial, ein die Form eines nach unten sich verjüngenden Kegels aufweisenden Luftführungsbleches 15 befestigt.
Parallel zur Achse der Auflageplatte 3 sind, seitlich derselben je eine, durch die Tisch- und die Grundplatte hindurchlaufend, zwei Führungssäulen 16 in Führungsbüchsen 17 vertikal verschiebbar geführt, deren Oberenden gemeinsam eine oberhalb der Tischplatte 2 befindliche horizontale Kopfplatte 18 tragen, an deren Unterseite, koaxial zur Auflageplatte 3, über einen Zwischenring 19 eine horizontale Andrückplatte 20 befestigt ist. Diese genannte Andrückplatte 20 ist an ihrer Unterseite mit einer dem Grundriss des Oberrandes des zu verschliessenden Behälters 8 entsprechenden Vertiefung 20a versehen. Die Unterenden der Führungssäulen 16 sind über angelenkte Stangen 21 mit dem einen Fusshebel 22 aufweisenden Vorgelege 23 zur Betätigung der Vorrichtung verbunden.
Von der Frontseite der Vorrichtung aus betrachtet, hinter der Auflageplatte 3, parallel zu der durch beide Führungssäulen 16 verlaufenden Vertikalebene, ist auf der Tischplatte 2 eine aus zwei Walzen gebildete Halterung 24 zur Auflage des in Form einer Rolle 25a gestapelten Vorrates des zum Verschliessen des Behälters 8 erforderlichen schrumpffähigen Kunststoffilms 25 angeordnet. Zwischen dieser Halterung 24 und der Auflageplatte 3 befindet sich ausserdem eine Schneidvorrichtung zum Durchtrennen der Folienbahn 25 in einzelne, zum Verschliessen der Behälter 8 benötigte Stücke. Diese Schneidvorrichtung wird gebildet durch einen unterhalb der von der Vorratsrolle 25a ablaufenden Folienbahn 25 horizontal geradlinig hindurchgespannten, elektrisch heizbaren Widerstandsdraht 26 und einer höherliegenden Führungswalze 27, unter welch letzterer die Folienbahn hindurchgeführt ist.
Der besseren Übersicht wegen ist die Kopfplatte 18 in Fig. 1 nach oben herausgezogen gezeichnet, ihre wirkliche obere Endlage ist mit 18' und strichpunktiert eingezeichnet. Ebenso ist die Halterung 24 sowie die Schneidvorrichtung 26, 27 leicht vergrössert und mit grösserem Abstand von der Auflageplatte 3 entfernt gezeichnet, als dies in Wirklichkeit der Fall ist. Die wahren Proportionen sind zum Teil aus Fig. 2 ersichtlich.
Die Arbeits- und Wirkungsweise der in den Fig. 1 und 2 dargestellten und beschriebenen Vorrichtung ist folgende: Zur Inbetriebnahme der Vorrichtung sind das Gebläse 12, die Heizvorrichtung 14 und der Heizdraht 26 einzuschalten. Das freie Ende des schrumpffähigen Kunststoffilms 25 ist unter der Walze 27 hindurchgeführt und befindet sich auf der Höhe des Heizdrahtes 26. Der zu verschliessende Behälter 8 wird, mit seinem Boden in die Vertiefung des Zentrierrings 9 eingreifend, auf die Auflageplatte 3 aufgelegt, daraufhin die Kunststoffilmbahn 25 soweit nach vorn herausgezogen, dass sie über den Oberrand des Behälters 8 allseitig leicht übersteht. Durch Niedertreten des Pedals 22 wird die Kopfplatte 18 und mit ihr die Andrückplatte 20 abwärts bewegt.
Hierbei nimmt die Andrückplatte 20 zuerst den Kunststoffilm 25 mit abwärts, der dabei auf dem Heizdraht 26 zum Aufliegen kommt, welcher letztere dadurch mittels Schmelzschnitt das über dem Behälter liegende Stück von der Vorratsbahn trennt. Gleichzeitig wird dieses abgeschnittene Stück Kunststoffilm auf den Rand des Behälters 8 gedrückt und, bei weiter abwärtsbewegter Kopfplatte, der Behälter 8 zusammen mit der Auflageplatte 3, entgegen der Kraft der Feder 7, nach abwärts mitgenommen. Durch das beschriebene Niederdrücken der Auflageplatte 3 entfernt sich dessen Bund 3a, der im Zusammenwirken mit der Randpartie des Ausschnittes in der Tischplatte 2 als Ventil wirksam ist, von seinem Sitz, wodurch ein ringförmiger Spalt rings um die Auflageplatte 3 entsteht.
Durch diesen ringförmigen Kanal wird nun die vom Gebläse 12 durch die Schlitze 13 in den vom Ring 10 begrenzten Raum gedrückte und dort von der Heizvorrichtung 14 stark erhitzte Luft an die Unterseite der Andrückplatte 20 geführt, wo sie auf die über den Behälterrand vorstehende Partie des Kunststoffilms 25 auftrifft. Diese Wärmeeinwirkung veranlasst die besagte Randpartie zum Einschrumpfen, welche sich dabei von unten her an den Rand des Behälters 8 anlegt und dadurch eine feste Verbindung zwischen dem letztgenannten und dem ihn überdeckenden Kunststoffilm bildet, die einen dichten Verschluss des Behälters 8 zur Folge hat.
Nach Loslassen des Pedals 22 bewirkt ein hinter der Drehachse des Pedals 22 auf demselben angeordnetes Ausgleichsgewicht 28 die Rückführung der Kopfplatte 18 in ihre obere Ausgangslage 18', bei welcher auch die Auflageplatte 3 durch die Kraft der Feder 7 in ihre obere, in Fig. 2 gezeichnete Endstellung verbracht wird, in welcher der Bund 3a den beschriebenen Austrittskanal für die Heissluft wieder verschlossen hält. Nach Entfernen des nun verschlossenen Behälters 8 und Auflegen eines neuen, unverschlossenen Behälters auf die Auflageplatte 3, wiederholt sich der Verschliessvorgang am neuen Behälter wie beschrieben.
Die in Fig. 3 dargestellte Vorrichtung zum Verschliessen von Behältern arbeitet, im Gegensatz zu der in den Fig. 1 und 2 dargestellten und beschriebenen mechanischen Vorrichtung, hydraulisch. Der auf einem Tisch aufzustellen bestimmte Ständer ist mit 101 bezeichnet, in welchem zwei vertikale Füh rungssäulen 116 fest angeordnet und nach oben aus der Tischplatte 102 geführt sind. Die an den Oberenden dieser Säulen 116 befestigte, horizontale Kopfplatte 118 ist ebenfalls fest und dient zur Abstützung eines hydraulischen Zylinders 29, dessen Kolben auf die Andrückplatte 120 einwirkt, welche letztere mittels eines Schiebers 30 an den Säulen 116 vertikal geführt ist.
Die Auflageplatte 103 für den zu verschliessenden Behälter 8 ist an ihrem Aussenumfang konisch gehalten und wirkt auch hier als Ventilkörper in Verbindung mit dem kegelförmig angeordneten Begrenzungsring 110 für den vom letzteren begrenzten Innenraum zur Aufbereitung der Heissluft. Die Luftzufuhr erfolgt hier mittels eines Axialgebläses 112. Die an der Unterseite der Auflageplatte 103 axial abstehend befestigte Büchse 104 entspricht dem Zapfen 4 in Fig. 2. Die Teile 5-7, 11, 13 und 14 sind mit den gleichbenannten Teilen nach Fig. 2 identisch und deren Funktionen sind dieselben, wie dort beschrieben.
Die Andrückplatte 120 hingegen ist hier als Schnittstempel und die Tischplatte 102 als Schnittmatrize ausgebildet, während die Anordnung der Auflageplatte 103 in bezug zum Ausschnitt in der Tischplatte 102 derart getroffen ist, dass der obere Rand des Behälters 8, bei auf der Platte 103 aufliegendem Behälter, unterhalb der Tischplattenebene zu liegen kommt.
Durch diese Gestaltung wird der zum Verschliessen des Behälters 8 zwischen dem letztgenannten und der Andrückplatte 120 eingeführte Kunststofffilm 25 beim hydraulisch bewirkten Niedergehen des Schiebers 30 durch die nun als Schnittstempel wirksame Andrückplatte beim Passieren des Oberrandes der Tischplatte 102 auf die gewünschte Form zugeschnitten, und der Verschliessvorgang ist prinzipiell der gleiche, wie bei der Vorrichtung nach Fig. 1 und 2 beschrieben.
Anstelle des geradlinig verlaufenden Heizdrahtes 26 zum Schneiden der Kunststoffolie 25, könnte derselbe auch kreisförmig ausserhalb dem Grundriss des Behälters 8 verlegt sein oder eine andere Form aufweisen.
Device for closing containers by means of a plastic film that shrinks under the action of heat
The present invention relates to a device for closing containers by means of a plastic film that is shrinkable under the action of heat, with a vertically displaceably guided stamp which extends over the container edge and is intended to hold down the plastic film on the container to be closed.
According to the invention, this device is characterized in that coaxially underneath the ram there is arranged a horizontal plate which is held by spring force in its upper end position and is guided in a vertically displaceable manner to support the container, underneath which there is a heating device and a fan for generating a hot air stream, that furthermore channels are provided which feed the hot air stream to the edge portion of the plastic film protruding over the container edge when the platen is pressed down by the downwardly guided plunger, the whole thing in such a way that when the heating is switched on and the receptacle is placed on the plate and the plastic film is inserted between the plunger and the receptacle, by actuating the device, the stamp is moved downwards while pressing the plastic film onto the container edge,
whereby it presses the container with the support plate downwards against the spring force, in which position the hot air stream causes the protruding plastic film edge portion to shrink under the container edge while resting against the same, whereby a tight seal of the container and a firm connection of the plastic film with the container is created .

The device shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 for closing containers by means of a plastic film which is shrinkable under the action of heat has a box-shaped stand 1 which is table height and which carries a horizontal table top 2 on its upper side. In a circular section of this table top 2, a horizontal plate 3 that is adapted in plan to the shape of the section is inserted. The same has an axial guide pin 4 on its underside, which protrudes into a guide bushing 5, which is supported at the end on a base plate 6 which is fixedly arranged in the stand 1 at a distance parallel to the table top, below the same. The plate 3 is guided with its guide pin 4 in the sleeve 5 vertically within certain limits.
A compression spring 7 inserted coaxially between the plate 3 and the base plate 6 between the plate 3 and the base plate 6 holds the plate 3 in its upper starting position, in which a conical collar 3a arranged on the outer circumference of the plate 3 keeps the circular cutout in the table top 2 closed. At the same time, the above-mentioned collar 3a serves as an end stop for the plate 3 in the direction of force of the spring 7. The top of the plate 3 carries a centering plate 9 adapted to the outline of the bottom surface of the container 8 to be placed on top of it.
The space below the support plate 3 between the base plate 6 and the table top 2 is delimited by a vertical circular ring 10, while a thermal insulating material 11 is introduced outside this ring 10 between the table and the base plate. A centrifugal fan 12 is attached to the underside of the base plate 6, the conveyed air of which is guided through slots 13 into the space delimited by the ring 10, in which an electrical heating device 14 is located. In addition, on the underside of the support plate 3, coaxially, an air guide plate 15 having the shape of a cone that tapers downwards is fastened.
Parallel to the axis of the support plate 3, one on each side of the same, running through the table and the base plate, two guide columns 16 are guided vertically displaceably in guide bushes 17, the upper ends of which jointly carry a horizontal head plate 18 located above the table plate 2. coaxial to the support plate 3, a horizontal pressure plate 20 is attached via an intermediate ring 19. This named pressure plate 20 is provided on its underside with a recess 20a corresponding to the outline of the upper edge of the container 8 to be closed. The lower ends of the guide columns 16 are connected via articulated rods 21 to the intermediate gear 23, which has a foot lever 22, for actuating the device.
Viewed from the front of the device, behind the support plate 3, parallel to the vertical plane running through both guide columns 16, there is a holder 24 formed from two rollers on the table top 2 for supporting the stock of the container stacked in the form of a roll 25a 8 required shrinkable plastic film 25 arranged. Between this holder 24 and the support plate 3 there is also a cutting device for severing the film web 25 into individual pieces required to close the container 8. This cutting device is formed by an electrically heatable resistance wire 26 stretched horizontally in a straight line beneath the film web 25 running down from the supply roll 25a and a higher-lying guide roller 27, under which the film web is passed.
For the sake of clarity, the head plate 18 is drawn out upwards in FIG. 1, its real upper end position is shown with 18 'and dash-dotted lines. The holder 24 and the cutting device 26, 27 are also shown slightly enlarged and drawn at a greater distance from the support plate 3 than is actually the case. The true proportions can be seen in part from FIG.
The operation and mode of operation of the device shown and described in FIGS. 1 and 2 is as follows: To start up the device, the fan 12, the heating device 14 and the heating wire 26 must be switched on. The free end of the shrinkable plastic film 25 is passed under the roller 27 and is at the level of the heating wire 26. The bottom of the container 8 to be closed engages the recess of the centering ring 9 and is placed on the support plate 3, and then the plastic film web 25 pulled out so far forward that it protrudes slightly over the upper edge of the container 8 on all sides. By stepping down the pedal 22, the head plate 18 and with it the pressure plate 20 is moved downwards.
Here, the pressure plate 20 first takes the plastic film 25 downwards with it, which in the process comes to rest on the heating wire 26, which thereby separates the piece lying above the container from the supply web by means of a fusion cut. At the same time, this cut piece of plastic film is pressed onto the edge of the container 8 and, with the head plate moving further down, the container 8 together with the support plate 3, against the force of the spring 7, is carried downwards. By pressing down the support plate 3 as described, its collar 3a, which acts as a valve in cooperation with the edge portion of the cutout in the table top 2, moves away from its seat, creating an annular gap around the support plate 3.
Through this annular channel, the air pressed by the fan 12 through the slots 13 into the space delimited by the ring 10 and strongly heated there by the heating device 14 is guided to the underside of the pressure plate 20, where it hits the portion of the plastic film protruding over the container edge 25 hits. This effect of heat causes the said edge portion to shrink, which is applied from below to the edge of the container 8 and thereby forms a firm connection between the latter and the plastic film covering it, which results in a tight closure of the container 8.
After releasing the pedal 22, a counterweight 28 arranged behind the axis of rotation of the pedal 22 causes the head plate 18 to be returned to its upper starting position 18 ', in which the support plate 3 is also moved to its upper, in FIG. 2, by the force of the spring 7 Drawn end position is spent, in which the collar 3a keeps the outlet duct described for the hot air closed again. After removing the now closed container 8 and placing a new, unsealed container on the support plate 3, the closing process is repeated on the new container as described.
The device for closing containers shown in FIG. 3 operates hydraulically, in contrast to the mechanical device shown and described in FIGS. 1 and 2. The stand intended to be set up on a table is denoted by 101, in which two vertical guide columns 116 are fixedly arranged and guided upward out of the table top 102. The horizontal head plate 118 fastened to the upper ends of these columns 116 is also fixed and serves to support a hydraulic cylinder 29, the piston of which acts on the pressure plate 120, which is guided vertically on the columns 116 by means of a slide 30.
The support plate 103 for the container 8 to be closed is held conically on its outer circumference and also acts here as a valve body in connection with the conically arranged limiting ring 110 for the interior space delimited by the latter for the preparation of the hot air. The air is supplied here by means of an axial fan 112. The sleeve 104, which is fastened axially protruding from the underside of the support plate 103, corresponds to the pin 4 in FIG identical and their functions are the same as described there.
The pressure plate 120, on the other hand, is designed here as a cutting die and the table top 102 as a cutting die, while the arrangement of the support plate 103 in relation to the cutout in the table top 102 is such that the upper edge of the container 8, when the container is resting on the plate 103, comes to lie below the table top level.
As a result of this design, the plastic film 25 inserted between the last-mentioned and the pressure plate 120 to close the container 8 is cut to the desired shape when the slide 30 descends hydraulically by the pressure plate now acting as a cutting punch when it passes the upper edge of the table top 102, and the closing process is basically the same as described for the device according to FIGS. 1 and 2.
Instead of the rectilinear heating wire 26 for cutting the plastic film 25, it could also be laid in a circle outside the outline of the container 8 or have a different shape.
