Device for checking the evenness of surfaces, e.g. B. the surface of road surfaces
The invention relates to a device for checking the flatness of surfaces.
According to the invention, the same is characterized by a carriage which can be moved on a measuring stick and carries a guide body in which a stylus is guided vertically so that its lower end remains in contact with the surface to be checked, and a pen is connected to the stylus in this way that he follows the vertical movement of the stylus and records the latter on a recording device that experiences a continuous movement proportional to the longitudinal movement of the carriage.
In the single figure of the drawing, an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown schematically in section.
The device shown contains a yardstick 1 of z. B. 4 m length, which is formed by a light metal rail of approximately C-shaped profile. The measuring rod 1 rests on two flat pedestals 2, which can be pivoted with respect to the rod and which extend from the ends of the rod by 1 /; their length removed.
A measuring carriage 3 is provided with three lower running wheels 4, an upper running wheel 4 'and a lateral running wheel 4 ", which running wheels run on the legs of the measuring stick 3. The bearing of the upper running wheel 4' is pretensioned by means of springs (not shown) so that the Impeller 4 'is pushed upwards. This ensures that the impellers 4 and 4' always lie snugly against the rail legs The guide body contains a spring, not shown, which presses the stylus 7 downwards.
The guide body 6 is provided with two opposite longitudinal slots 9 at the top, in which a guide sleeve 10 for a pen 11 can be moved up and down, this sleeve 10 passing through a transverse hole in the stylus 7 and thus taking part in its movements.
A spring (not shown) located inside the sleeve 10 pushes the pen to the left. A hollow arm 12 is attached to the guide body 6, which arm extends over the measuring rod 1 and on which a drum 13 is rotatably mounted. An IRlemmfeder 14 is used to hold a recording paper 15 on the drum 13 on which the writing tip of the writing pen 11 rests, unless it is lifted by pulling a handle 15 'from the same. The drum 13 is driven via a reduction gear (not shown) contained in the hollow arm 12, starting from a horizontal friction wheel which is mounted on the hollow arm 12 and rolls off the back of the measuring rod 1 when the measuring carriage 3 moves.
The friction wheel 16 is held in contact with the back of the measuring rod by springs (not shown), but can be lifted from the back of the measuring rod by pulling a handle 17 against the spring force and locked in this raised position by means of a locking barrier 18. The reduction gear is z. B. designed so that the full path of the measuring carriage, i.e. 4 m, corresponds to a diagram length of 20 cm, the scale ratio for the longitudinal direction is 1:20. On the other hand, it is clear that the height changes that the stylus 3 experiences during the movement of the measuring carriage in accordance with the unevenness of the ground are recorded on a 1: 1 scale by the pen 11 on the recording paper 15.
It should also be noted that the hollow arm 12 is supported by a sliding plate 19 on the measuring rod 1 and that a tab provided with an opening 20 is provided on this sliding plate 19, to which the end of a pull rod or the like, not shown, can be attached which you can then easily move the measuring carriage back and forth.
At the ends of the measuring rod, not shown, means for fixing the position of the measuring rod are seen, preferably in the form of vertically displaceable steel tips. Compared to known control devices in which the height differences of a floor covering are averaged point by point compared to a measuring stick, the present device has the advantage of being able to record a complete profile very quickly and automatically, the accuracy of the recording being very high. Nevertheless, the device is very simple and built so robustly that it meets practical requirements in every respect.
