The invention relates to an ironing machine with a lever operated by foot pressure to lift the ironing trough attached to a pivotable lever by a spring on the transport roller.
The double-armed bow lever is at its lower free end by an intermediate member with a movable by the foot lever, i. H. appropriately connected to this lever arm consisting of one part, so that inter mediate link and foot lever arm form a knee joint which is under the pressure of a spring. This formation of the foot lever actuation for the bracket trough has the advantage that only a relatively small amount of force is required to lift the bracket trough.
The lifting of the ironing trough with such a device as well as any other known device is only done for the purpose that you can easily insert the latter when ironing the laundry and, if necessary, align during the ironing process. The lifting takes place only to a relatively small extent, about 20 mm. If the ironing machine is stopped after the ironing work is completed, it is necessary to remove the ironing trough from the ironing roller by a larger amount in order to avoid scorching the roll winding through the still hot trough and to achieve faster cooling of the trough ,
and on the other hand, to be able to clean and maintain the soles of the ironing troughs. Since a further lifting with the help of the previous foot lever devices was limited due to space and also be operational reasons, the bracket trough was attached to the arm or arms carrying it so that it was accessible by pivoting or rotating around special pins Position can be swiveled. However, this is cumbersome to use and to a certain extent requires a not inconsiderable amount of force.
The present invention therefore has for its object to provide a further, i. H. to achieve greater lift at the same time with normal foot control. It achieves this in an ironing machine of the type described above in that the intermediate link connecting the foot lever arm and the hitch lever ver binding on the hitch lever lever this sem opposite in the sense of increasing Ver shortening of the hollow lever arm is slidably placed, while his other, via the connec tion point with the Foot lever arm reaching out end at a fixed point, preferably on the Bügehnaschinentisch, pivotable and in Achsrich direction of the intermediate link is secured evasive.
This inventive design of the knee joint or the lifting linkage makes it possible that you can lift the ironing trough so far that the laundry can be lifted by a slight pressure against the foot lever, while with stronger pressure on the foot lever, the lifting process accelerates and the trough by one greater distance is lifted off in such a way that it or its sole is conveniently accessible. However, the pressure to be exerted on the foot lever remains within the normal limits, i.e. H. the operator does not need to work so hard that fatigue phenomena occur.
In the accompanying drawings, two exemplary embodiments of an inventive ironing device are shown schematically, the parts not directly related to the invention being omitted for the sake of overlooked.
In both cases, the ironing machine table is designated with 1, the ironing roller with 2 and the ironing trough with 3, which is seated in a known manner on a lever 4 pivotable about the fixed point 5. In Fig. 1, 6 also denotes a foot control lever, which continues in an arm 7 and at point 8 on the ironing board 1 is pivotally ge superimposed. This lever 6, 7 is under the action of a spring 9, and a tab 10 is attached to its arm 7 as an intermediate member between this and the hollow lever 4 rotating bar. According to the invention, this tab 10 ver binds the foot lever via a further tab 11 to the lower arm 12 of the hollow lever 4, the tab 11 being articulated at points 13 and 14 on both the tab 10 and the lever arm.
The bracket 10 extends beyond its fulcrum 15 on the foot lever arm 7, and its other end 16 is rotatably attached to the ironing board 1 so that it can be displaced in the direction of the bracket axis by having a slot 17 in which a roller 18 attached to the ironing board engages. In the position shown in the drawing, the ironing trough 3 is pressed against the ironing roller 2 by the spring 9 acting on the foot lever 6, 7 in a clockwise direction, whereby the tab 10 and thus also the intermediate tab 11 are pressed downwards and in turn the trough lever arm Push 12 to the right.
A further pushing through of the knee joint is prevented by the stop 19 on the foot lever 6.
If you now press lightly against the foot lever 6 in the direction of the arrow 20, the tab 10 is moved both upwards and to the left and pulls the trough lever arm 12 also to the left, so that the trough 3 is lifted a little from the roller and the laundry inserted or aligned. The intermediate plate 11 rotates a little to the top right around the point 14. If you now push the lever 6 further through, the upward movement component of the plate 10 leads to an increasing shortening of the effective lever length of the lever arm 12, as the Hinge point 13 between the tabs 10 and 11 moved to the top left.
As a result, the hanger trough is further lifted, which happens relatively quickly and with little effort due to the aforementioned shortened lever length.
In FIG. 2, the same parts are provided with the same reference numerals as in FIG. The Ausfüh tion differs from that of FIG. 1 in that the right end of the tab 10 is not connected to the trough lever arm 12 via a further intermediate tab, but via a link. This backdrop consists of a slot 21 provided in the arm 12, into which a slide roller 22 attached to the end of the bracket 10 engages.
The slot 21 has a very specific course, and the device functions as follows: In the drawing, the bow trough 3 is again in its contact pressure position. If you actuate the foot lever 6 again in the direction of the arrow 20 - a little, the sliding roller 22 also moves a little upwards due to the upward movement component of the flap 10 in the lower part of the slot 21, and the trough is moved to the left by the directed movement component of the tab 10 also lifted.
If the lever 6 is pushed harder, the roller 22 slides further up into the upper part of the slot 21 directed towards the top right ge, whereby a further lifting of the bracket trough takes place relatively quickly, since in turn the effective lever length between the roller 22 and the hinge point 5 quickly becomes very short.
The illustrated embodiments let him know that with the ironing machine according to the invention a lifting of the ironing trough beyond the distance required for laundry introduction is possible at the same time as the usual foot actuation, whereby neither more space is needed than before nor excessive force is necessary .
