welches minde stens zwei reaktionsfähige Gruppierungen -N=C-Halogen i enthält.

<tb> 2-Alkoxy-, <SEP> 2-Alkyl-, <SEP> 2-Phenyl-, <SEP> 2-Amino-,
<tb> 2-Alkylamino-, <SEP> 2-Phenylamino-,

Process for the preparation of reactive dyes As reactive groups, many of the dyes that have become known to date and enter into a chemical bond with the fiber contain one or more substituted amino groups, the substituent of which contains at least one residue that can easily be split off as an anion, for example halogen. These substituted amino groups, advantageously halogenazinyl amino groups, are usually linked directly to aromatic radicals of the dye structure.
This substitution is undesirable in order to achieve certain properties, for example to achieve certain particularly pure colors.
If one tries to lay the amino group containing reactive radicals in customary external groups, one encounters the difficulty that extensive substituents reduce the required very good solubility in water and often raise the substantive properties to an undesirable extent. This is the case, for example, with substituted aminobenzoylamino groups as substituents on the dye structure. Also, it is often not possible in phenyl azo dyes, all in the phenyl he desired substituents, eg.
B. acylamino, sulfonic acid and other groups to accommodate.
It has now been found that dyes which, in addition to at least one substituted amino group containing reactive radicals according to the definition, also have one or more disulfimide groups -S02- NH-SO, are very valuable reactive dyes which, above all, due to their good water solubility and the property, very to give pure cellulose dyeings are excellent.
The disulfimide groups not only give the dyes containing them good water solubility, they also allow the accommodation of further substituents which make water solubilizing or which promote water solubility, in that such substituents are introduced into the aryl radical bonded to the disulfimide group or can be contained in the same. This external aryl radical can also contain the substituted amino group having reactive radicals without the undesired properties mentioned above occurring.
The present invention is a process for the preparation of reactive dyes of the formula
EMI0001.0036
A is the radical of an azo dye, B is an optionally substituted hydrocarbon radical, which can also contain chromophoric groups, X is a hydrogen atom or the equivalent of a cation, Z is a substituted amino group, the substituent of which is at least one radical that can easily be split off as an anion or a CC multiple bond which is easily capable of addition, contains, m, n and p mean positive integers,
where m and n should each be at most 2 and p and m together should be at least 3. The process is characterized in that a diazo component is coupled with a coupling component which together contains one or two substituted amino groups Z and one or two groups of the formula
EMI0001.0047
in which B and X have the meaning given above, the starting materials being chosen so that the dyes produced therefrom, if they contain only one disulfimide group as defined, have at least one sulfonic acid group.
The substituent of the amino group Z is, for example, the remainder of an aliphatic carboxylic acid containing a mobile halogen and / or an addition-capable CC multiple bond, such as chloroacetic acid, bromoacetic acid, β-chloro and / 3-bromopropionic acid, propiolic acid, acrylic acid and methacrylic acid, the a- or ss-chloro- or bromoacrylic acid, the a,
/ 3-dichloro or dibromoacrylic acid, α, β or γ-chloro or bromocrotonic acid, α, β-dichlorocrotonic acid or optionally chlorinated or brominated maleic or fumaric acid. The substituent in Z is preferably the radical of a cyclic imide polyhalide,
which contains at least two reactive groups -N = C-halogen i. As such, the remainder of a halogenazine compound of aromatic character comes primarily into consideration, which contains at least two tertiary ring N atoms and at least two mobile halogen atoms of atomic numbers 17 to 35 on these adjacent ring C atoms, for example the Remainder of one of the following heterocyclic compounds:
EMI0002.0041

<tb> 2-guanidino-4,6-dichloro- <SEP> or
<tb> -dibromo-1,3,5-triazines, 2,4- or 4,6-dichloro- or -dibromopyrimidines, which have further substituents in the remaining positions, in particular further halogen atoms or negative groups such as nitro, acyl Contain -, cyano or just alkyl or phenyl groups,
and finally also tetrameric cyanogen chloride or cyanogen bromide.
Azo components which have substituted amino groups of the aforementioned type are obtained, for example, from couplable aminohydroxy compounds, such as. B. aminohydroxynaphthalenesulfonic acids or 1-aminoaryl-5-pyrazolones, by putting with 1 mol of one of the polyvalent acylating or azinylating agents mentioned below.
Corresponding diazonium compounds are z. B. from aromatic diamines, one amino group of which, for example because of steric hindrance, is significantly less reactive than the other, but is still diazotized, by reacting with 1 mole of one of the acylation or
Azinylating agent and subsequent diazotization can be prepared. Suitable acylating agents are primarily the halides and in some cases also the anhydrides of the aliphatic carboxylic acids mentioned at the outset.
The above-mentioned cyclic imide polyhalides, which contain at least two mobile halogen atoms, may be mentioned, for example, as azinylating agents.
When reacting the amino group-containing diazo or coupling components with the aforementioned polyvalent carboxylic acid halides or carboxylic acid imide halides, the conversion conditions are to be chosen so that there is no premature exchange of mobile substituents either as a result of an excessively high pH of the reaction medium or an excessively high temperature. It is therefore advantageous to work with the aqueous solutions of the alkali salts of the usable diazo or
Coupling components at the lowest possible temperatures and pH values. As mineral acid deadening agents are advantageously used buffer salts, for. B. Alkali salts of lower fatty acids. The reaction temperature and the pH of the reaction medium depend on the resistance of the acylating or azinylating agent or on the mobility of the radical to be split off as the anion.
Temperatures from 0 to about 60 ° C. and pH values from about 2 to 8 are suitable. The acylating or azinylating agents are used in at least an equimolecular amount and, depending on the properties, in a fine dispersion, for example as a suspension or emulsion, if necessary with the aid of inert, easily removable organic solvents such as lower ketones. The acylation or
Azinylating agents act until the amino group to be acylated can no longer be detected, for example by diazotization and coupling, if it is a primary amino group, which is preferably the case.
In the azo dyes, disulfimide groups by definition can be present in the remainder of the diazo component or in that of the azo component or in the remainder.
The same applies to the substituted primary or secondary amino groups as defined. If B does not have an Ehromophoric group, then it advantageously contains an acylated or azinylated amino group. Preferred azo dyes contain a disulfimide group as defined,
a substituted amino group Z and 2 to 4 sulfonic acid groups. In particularly preferred dyes, B is an aromatic radical with a maximum of 2 benzene nuclei and, more advantageously, an optionally further substituted benzene radical.
The diazo components are advantageously those of the benzene series, optionally also those of the naphthalene series, and the azo components preferably hydroxynaphthalenes and / or aminonaphthalines and their sulfonic acids and carboxylic acids, and also 5-amino or 5-hydroxy-pyrazole compounds.
If the diazo and azo components still contain metallizable groups, the azo dyes obtained therefrom can be treated with heavy metals with atomic numbers 24 to 29, for example with agents that introduce copper, chromium or cobalt.
Preferred heavy metal-azo dyes are above all the complex copper, cobalt and chromium compounds of o, o'-dihydroxyazo and of o-hydroxy-o'-carboxy-azo dyes. In the case of chromium and cobalt compounds, 1 atom of heavy metal should advantageously fall to 2 mol of base dye.
In the case of chromium complexes, only one of the two azo dyes bound to the chromium must contain at least one disulfimide group and only one of the two must contain at least one acylatable amino group.
The disulfimide group-containing diazo or azo components are obtained by condensation of 1 mole of a sulfonic acid halide with 1 mole of a sulfonic acid amide group-containing compound in the presence of a mineral acid-binding agent.
Components with symmetrical structures with respect to the disulfimide group can also be obtained by condensation of 2 moles of a compound containing sulfonic acid halide groups with 1 mole of ammonia or ammonia-releasing substances.
The dyes which can be prepared according to the invention are isolated and dried, for example, by salting out the alkali metal salts with sodium chloride in a neutral to weakly acidic solution and by drying at a moderately elevated temperature and preferably in vacuo.
The dyes which can be prepared according to the invention are readily soluble in water and are particularly suitable for dyeing and printing hydroxyl-containing fiber material, in particular made from natural and regenerative

deposited by addition of sodium chloride, filtered, washed with sodium chloride solution and dried at 40-50 in a vacuum. It dissolves easily in cold water with an orange-red color.
The above-mentioned 4-hydroxynaphthyl- (1) -3'-dichloropyrimidyl-aminophenyl- (1 ') -disulfimides is produced by condensation of 1- [p-toluenesulfonyl-nerated cellulose, using agents which increase the pH. The cellulose dyeings and prints obtained with these new dyes are very pure and, in particular, have excellent wet fastness properties.
The dyes are also suitable for dyeing and printing natural and artificial polyamides, such as wool, silk and synthetic polyamide fibers.
From what has been said above, it follows that, among the dyes of the formula 1, the mono- and disazo dyes are primarily preferred. Particularly preferred dyes which can be prepared according to the invention contain, as the radical B bonded to the disulfimide group, an aryl radical having at most 2 benzene nuclei and the substituted amino group Z as its substituent.
In the following examples, the parts are understood as parts by weight; these relate to parts by volume as g to cm3. The temperatures are given in degrees Celsius.
<I> Example 1 </I> 25.3 parts of 1-aminobenzene-2,5-disulfonic acid are dissolved in 300 parts of water until neutral and mixed with 25 parts of 30 11 / o hydrochloric acid and 6.9 parts of sodium nitrite with ice cooling 0-2 diazotized. The solution obtained is added to a solution of 57 parts of the sodium salt of 4-hydroxynaphthyl- (1) -3'-dichloropyrimidyl-aminophenyl- (1 ') - disulfimide in 400 parts of water and coupled at pH - Value of 6-7.
After coupling has ended, the dye of the formula oxy] -naphthalene-4-sulfonic acid amide is treated with m-nitrobenzene sulfochloride, saponification of the toluenesulfonyloxy group, reduction of the nitro compound and condensation of the amine obtained with 2,4,6-trichloropyrimidine.
Cotton is padded with a 1 / o solution of this dye, which still contains 20 parts of sodium carbonate and 200 parts of urea per liter, at 50, the impregnated product is dried, then heated to 140-160 for 4 minutes and finally soaped at the boil for 30 minutes , the result is a uniform, very washable, orange-red color.

are dissolved as the sodium salt in 500 parts of warm water, acidified with 25 parts of 30% hydrochloric acid and 6.9 parts of sodium nitrite are added at 5-10. When the diazotization is complete, the mixture is given a neutralized solution of 42.3 parts of 1-benzoyl - Added amino-8-hydroxynaphthalene-3,6-disulfonic acid in 200 parts of water and adjusted the solution at 10-20 with sodium bicarbonate to a pH of 7 to 7.5.
After coupling is complete, the new dye is precipitated with sodium chloride, filtered off and dried in vacuo at 50-60. It is a red powder that easily dissolves in water with a red color.
The diazo component used in this example is prepared as follows: 32.7 parts of 2,3'-diaminodiphenyl-1,1'- obtainable by known methods by condensation of 2-nitrobenzene-1-sulfochloride and 3-nitrobenzenesulfamide and subsequent reduction disulfimids are suspended in 200 parts of water and brought into solution by adding sodium hydroxide at a pH of 6.5.
