Steam generating device The present invention relates to a steam generating device, in particular for heating with accumulating residues, with a water preheater and an air preheater in the flue gas shaft.
It is known that in steam generating devices the flue gases are passed through after-heating surfaces of the water preheater and air preheater after their exit from the main heating surfaces of the boiler and superheater in order to utilize the remaining heat energy of the flue gas after the heat is transferred to the boiler and superheater. The air preheated in this way is fed to the combustion chamber to promote the combustion process and the preheated water to the boiler through suitable feed means.
In the case of the previously known steam generation systems, it is customary to assign the water preheater and air preheater to one another in the flue gas duct.
However, this design proves to be disadvantageous if combustion material with a low calorific value and changing composition is used for the operation of the steam generating device, for example garbage or garbage.
When using such residues as combustion material, there can be large shifts in the temperature conditions when the flue gases enter and exit the water preheater and air preheater, with the result that the preheating of water and air is subject to constant changes thus the operating conditions of the steam generator constantly change ver.
Another disadvantage is that these fluctuating operating conditions also affect the devices downstream of the steam generating device, such as electrostatic precipitators, dedusting systems, induced draft devices and others. with detrimental consequences for their function.
It is now an aim of the present invention to provide a steam generating device in such a way that fluctuation-free operating conditions are achieved when residues are burned.
The steam generating device according to the present invention is characterized in that the water preheater and air preheater are arranged next to one another.
An embodiment of the steam generating device according to the present invention will then be explained in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawing, the drawing showing a schematic representation of the steam generating device in a partial sectional view. According to the exemplary embodiment, the steam generating system has a shaft 1 for filling in the residue.
A grate 2 is arranged below the feed chute 1, on which the material to be fired comes to rest and above which the combustion chamber 3 is located. In the wall of the combustion chamber 3 opposite the filling shaft 1, an oil burner 4 is provided, which promotes the burnout in the case of hardly combustible residues. In the upper part of the combustion chamber 3, the main heating surface 5 of the boiler and the main heating surface 6 of the superheater is arranged.
The combustion chamber 3 is connected to the chimney 9 via the shafts 7 and 8, the air and water preheaters 10 and 11 being arranged in the shaft 8, respectively. In the embodiment shown, the shaft 8 is divided into two adjacent chambers by an intermediate wall 12, so that the water preheater 10 and the air preheater 11 are arranged separately and can therefore be controlled separately.
Between shaft 7 and shaft 8 are formed as a throttle valve 13, with which the flue gas supply to the water preheater 10 and the air preheater 11 can be regulated. The flue gases that develop during the operation of the steam generating device through the burning of the combustion material rise upwards within the combustion chamber 3, paint on the main heating surfaces 5,
6 along the boiler and the superheater, give off heat there and then pass through the shaft 7 in front of the shaft B. Through the more or less open throttle valves 13, the flue gas enters the shaft 8 and gives heat to the water preheater 10 on the one hand and heat on the other to the air preheater 11, the ratio of the flue gas quantities that are to reach the water preheater and the air preheater can be precisely regulated with the throttle valves.
The flue gas is then discharged through the chimney 9 or through a pipe. The throttle valve 13 can be driven manually or by a motor who, with the possibility of the throttle flap by means of suitable control elements automatically depending on certain operating parameters of the steam generator, for example combustion chamber temperature, water temperature, flue gas temperature and. a. to discontinue.
As a further embodiment it would be conceivable to replace the throttle valves in front of each chamber of the shaft 8 with a common slide valve with which the ratio of the flue gas quantities for the water preheater and air preheater could be regulated without affecting the pressure conditions inside the steam generating device will.
The described arrangement of the water preheater 10 and air preheater 11 next to one another initially ensures that the inlet temperature of the flue gas is the same for both, which inevitably means that the air is preheated more than when the air preheater 11 is connected downstream of the water preheater 10 is the case.
The more strongly heated air which is fed to the combustion chamber 3 promotes the combustion process significantly, which is particularly important in the case of poor combustion material such as garbage or refuse. At the same time, the possibility of dew point corrosion in the air preheater 11 is excluded.
Another advantage is that the regulable throttle valve 13 regulates the amount of flue gas that should reach the water preheater 10 and the air preheater 11 in accordance with the operating conditions of the steam generator, which is particularly important when the incineration material is poorly combustible as a result The combustion process must be promoted by supplying more heated air,
this increased amount of smoke gas supplied by the air preheater 11 is generated.
By arranging the water preheater and air preheater next to one another, it is also achieved that the outlet temperature of the flue gas from these is approximately constant, which enables fluctuations-free operation of any downstream devices.
Another advantage of this steam generating device is its compact design compared to the previously known devices and the option to build a common settling chamber for fly ash and soot for the water preheater and air preheater, as can be seen at the lower part 7a of the shaft 7.
