Description

  

  Saumband    Die     Erfindung        betrifft    ein Saumband mit längs  verlaufenden Falten zur     Verwendung    an Kleidern,  insbesondere Kinderröcken oder     -mänteln,    zum  Zwecke der Verlängerung derselben. Mit der Erfin  dung wird angestrebt, die bisher zur Schaffung der       Verlängerungsmöglichkeit    erforderlichen Vorkehrun  gen und die mit dem     Verlängern    von Kleidern ver  bundenen, meist umständlichen Arbeiten ausserordent  lich zu vereinfachen.  



  Gemäss der vorliegenden Erfindung zeichnet sich  das Saumband dadurch aus, dass zwei Gruppen von       aufeinanderliegenden        Doppelfalten    mit den einen der  beiden Faltränder entlang einer Längslinie des Ban  des     gegeneinandergerichtet    angeordnet und nur durch  je eine     Kettenstichnaht    zusammengehalten sind, so  dass jede Faltengruppe unabhängig von der anderen  durch Aufziehen der betreffenden     Kettenstichnaht     geöffnet werden kann, um in Anwendung an einem  Kleid eine entsprechende Verlängerung desselben zu  ergeben.  



  Der Erfindungsgegenstand wird anschliessend an  hand von zwei auf der beiliegenden Zeichnung dar  gestellten Ausführungsbeispielen näher erläutert.  



       Fig.    1 und 2 zeigen je ein     Saumbandstück    in per  spektivischer Darstellung.  



  Bei beiden Ausführungsbeispielen bildet das     Band     1 zwei nebeneinander angeordnete Gruppen von auf  einanderliegenden     Doppelfalten    2 und 2', welche     in     der Bandlängsrichtung verlaufen und mit den inneren  der beiden Faltränder 3 und 3' entlang einer     Längslinie     des Bandes     gegeneinandergerichtet    sind.

   Die Doppel  falten 2 bzw. 2' jeder Gruppe sind wenigstens an  nähernd deckungsgleich und auf der gleichen Seite  eines     Bandrückenstreifens    4 angeordnet, der die bei  den     Faltengruppen    miteinander verbindet und an wel  chem jede     Doppelfaltengruppe    mittels je     einer    die  Doppelfalten 2 bzw. 2' durchquerenden Kettenstich-    naht 5 bzw. 5' befestigt ist. Diese     Kettenstichnaht     kann z. B. gemäss     Fig.    1 in der Längsmitte der Falten  gruppe oder wie beim zweiten     Ausführungsbeispiel     gemäss     Fig.2    knapp neben der Kante der gegen  einandergerichteten Faltränder 3 bzw. 3' verlaufen.  



  Das Band 1 sieht besonders gefällig aus, wenn  sich die     gegeneinandergerichteten    Faltränder 3 und 3'  der beiden Faltengruppen praktisch berühren. Beim  zweiten     Ausführungsbeispiel    ist jedoch vorgesehen,  dass an der vordersten Falte 2 der einen Faltengruppe  die Kante des gegen die andere Faltengruppe gerich  teten     Faltrandes    3 deren Faltränder 3' knapp über  greift. Vorzugsweise besteht das beschriebene Saum  band aus     vorgeschrumpftem    sanforisiertem Gewebe.  



  Im Anwendungsfall wird der über die Doppel  falten 2' vorstehende untere Rand 6 des Saumbandes  auf der     Innenseite    des     Kleidungsstückes    mit dem       Bandrückenstreifen    4 an dieser     anliegend    mittels  einer gewöhnlichen Steppnaht an das Saumende des  Kleidungsstückes angenäht, während der obere Rand  7 des Bandes mittels einer     Blindstichnaht    an der Kleid  innenseite befestigt wird. Für eine Teilverlängerung  des Kleides wird bei der einen Faltengruppe der     Ket-          tenstichfaden    durchschnitten und herausgezogen.

   Die       Doppelfalten    der betreffenden Gruppe öffnen sich  und ergeben unabhängig von . der anderen Falten  gruppe die eine Teilverlängerung. In gleicher Weise  kann die zweite Faltengruppe zu einer zweiten Ver  längerung aufgelöst werden.



  Hem tape The invention relates to a hem tape with longitudinally extending folds for use on clothes, in particular children's skirts or coats, for the purpose of extending the same.   According to the present invention, the hem tape is characterized in that two groups of double folds lying on top of one another are arranged with one of the two fold edges facing one another along a longitudinal line of the band and are only held together by one chainstitch seam each, so that each group of folds is opened independently of the other the chainstitch in question can be opened to produce a corresponding extension of the same when used on a dress.



  The subject matter of the invention is then explained in more detail with reference to two exemplary embodiments presented in the accompanying drawings.



       Fig. 1 and 2 each show a hem tape piece in a perspective view.



  In both embodiments, the tape 1 forms two adjacent groups of double folds 2 and 2 'lying on top of one another, which run in the longitudinal direction of the tape and are directed against one another with the inner of the two fold edges 3 and 3' along a longitudinal line of the tape.

   The double folds 2 or 2 'of each group are at least approximately congruent and arranged on the same side of a tape backing strip 4, which connects the fold groups with each other and at wel chem each double fold group by means of a chain stitch crossing the double folds 2 or 2' - Seam 5 or 5 'is attached. This chain stitch seam can, for. B. according to FIG. 1 in the longitudinal center of the fold group or as in the second embodiment according to FIG.



  The band 1 looks particularly pleasing when the opposing fold edges 3 and 3 'of the two groups of folds practically touch. In the second embodiment, however, it is provided that on the foremost fold 2 of one fold group, the edge of the fold edge 3 directed against the other fold group engages just over the fold edge 3 '. Preferably, the described seam band consists of pre-shrunk sanforized fabric.



  In the case of application, the lower edge 6 of the hem tape protruding over the double folds 2 'is sewn on the inside of the garment with the tape backing strip 4 adjacent to it by means of a conventional stitching seam to the hem end of the garment, while the upper edge 7 of the tape is sewn on by means of a blind stitch seam attached to the inside of the dress. For a partial lengthening of the dress, the chain stitch thread is cut through and pulled out of one group of folds.

   The double folds of the group in question open and result independently of. the other fold group the one partial extension. In the same way, the second group of folds can be dissolved into a second elongation.
