Hand tool with motor drive and interchangeable tools
The subject of the invention is a hand-held device with a motor drive and exchangeable tools, each of which can be inserted into the motor shaft by means of its shaft. Such devices are used in particular for the treatment of teeth, fingernails and toenails, calluses and smaller workpieces by means of various rotating tools such as drills, milling heads, grinding heads, etc. So that the tool inserted into the motor shaft cannot move axially during operation and does not slip under load, rotations for engaging engaging organs and one or more flats for attacking driver organs have so far been provided on the tool shaft.
These precautions on the device, on the one hand, and on the mostly very thin tool shaft, on the other hand, make the device and tools very expensive and weaken the tool shaft.
The present invention seeks to remedy this disadvantage by arranging at least one sleeve made of elastic material, which is penetrated by the inserted tool shank and between the latter, in order to produce a connection between the tool shaft and the motor shaft which results in sufficient static friction for the use of the tool and the hollow part of the motor shaft is pinched.
The subject matter of the invention will then be explained in more detail using an exemplary embodiment shown in axial section on the accompanying drawing.
The illustrated hand-held device for the treatment of fingernails and toenails is provided with a housing 1, an electric motor 2 and an electric battery 3 as a power source. The motor shaft consists of a full shaft part 4 and a hollow shaft part 5, which are screwed together. The hollow shaft 5 has an insertion opening 7 which is accessible at the tapered housing end 6 and through which the tool 8 with its cylindrical shaft 9 can be inserted. In the hollow shaft three identical sleeve rings 10 are made of elastic material, e.g. Nylon, and a sleeve 11 made of other elastic material, such as.
B. soft PVC, arranged at an axial distance from each other by a metal intermediate ring 12 with a larger inner diameter than that of the sleeves is placed between these sleeves, all sleeves and rings 10-12 are held by the solid shaft 4 screwed into the hollow shaft 5. The diameter of the sleeves is one to two tenths of a millimeter smaller than the inner diameter of the guide cylinder of the hollow shaft 5, which is used for radial support and centering of the tool shaft 9.
The sleeves 10 are axially narrower than the sleeve 11 and, depending on their material properties, exert sufficient static friction on the cylinder surface of the inserted tool shank to hold the tool mainly against axial displacement, while the axially wider sleeve 11 acts as a driver for transmitting torque from the motor shaft exerts on the tool.
A flywheel 13 is attached to the motor shaft, on the outer circumference of which fan blades 14 are arranged which, during operation, generate an air flow entering the housing through openings 15 and 16 and exiting at the tapered housing end 6 through a ball bearing 17 of the motor shaft, which allows the penetration of air To prevent abrasion particles in the housing.
The housing end 6 has an annular contact edge 18 protruding axially beyond the insertion opening 7 of the hollow shaft 5, the end face of which lies in a plane inclined to the shaft axis. This inclined edge enables not only the support of the object to be processed, but also the change of its setting and its distance from the tool head, especially with milling cutters and reamers.
It goes without saying that instead of the electric battery, another power source, e.g. B. an AC connection could be provided.
