Suction nozzle for pneumatic emptying of containers for powdery or granular bulk material
The invention relates to a suction nozzle for the pneumatic emptying of containers for powdery or granular bulk material with a mouthpiece arranged at a certain distance below the mouth of the suction pipe, connected to an air supply and releasing the air in the direction of the mouth to loosen the between the Mouth of the suction tube and the mouthpiece located to be conveyed bulk material.
In such a known suction nozzle, the mouthpiece has a porous wall on the side facing the mouth of the suction tube in order to achieve a liquid-like state of the material to be removed. The arrangement of the mouthpiece in front of the suction mouth is intended to prevent parts of it from getting into the suction mouth and clogging it when it is lowered into the material to be removed. A disadvantage of this arrangement is that it often makes considerable difficulties to dig up the amount of material flowing together at the mouth when the suction tube is lowered, even if an air flow is used under relatively high pressure.
However, when the suction tube is inserted into the material to be removed, a lot of it remains in the suction mouth, which can then form a barrier in this mouth, which cannot be easily removed even by blowing the loosening air into the mouth.
The invention is based on the object of avoiding this undesirable clogging of the suction pipe. The inventive design is to be seen in the fact that the loosening of the bulk material is carried out by a jet pipe provided in the mouthpiece and directed towards the mouth of the suction pipe, and that the mouthpiece is designed as a valve body, through which the mouth of the suction pipe is completely opened against the pressure of a compression spring is lockable. Because the mouthpiece, which does not need to be provided with a porous outlet opening, is itself designed as a valve body, when using this device the suction tube with the suction opening closed can be lowered into the material to be removed and the suction opening will only be released after the the lowered pipe is released.
The air then supplied loosens the incoming amount of material, which is then sucked off.
The mouthpiece is preferably fastened to a slide piece surrounding the suction tube by means of at least two guide rods, one of the rods being designed as an air supply tube for the mouthpiece.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the design according to the invention, namely a section through the end of a suction pipe.
In the end area of the suction pipe 1, a pressure piece 2 is firmly connected to the pipe. At the end of the tube this is surrounded by a slide 3 which can slide in the longitudinal direction of the tube; A compression spring 4 is provided between the slider 3 and the pressure piece 2. The mouth of the suction pipe has an outwardly curved edge 5 so that the slide 3 cannot be removed from the pipe. A mouthpiece 6 has a jet pipe 7 and is connected to the slide 3 by guide rods 8. Another connection between the slider 3 and the mouth piece 6 is formed by a tube 9 to which a compressed air line is connected. The air has an excess pressure of 3 to 4 atmospheres.
A number of jet pipes 10, which are accommodated in a housing 11, are also fitted in the wall of the pipe 1. This housing has a port 12 through which air can be introduced into the housing 11 under a pressure of 3 to 4 atmospheres. If the described device is in a vessel with z. B.
Inserted polyvinyl chloride acetate grains, the mouthpiece 6 is pressed against the mouth 5 of the tube 1, so that there is no possibility that the lower part of the tube 1 takes up grains that cannot be transported. As soon as the mouthpiece 6 is brought to the bottom of the vessel, the spring pushes the suction tube 1 upwards, so that a free space is created between the end of the tube 1 and the mouthpiece 6. If air is then blown into the pipes 9 and 12, the air flow through the jet pipe 7 loosens a lot of grains; the grains are given a certain initial speed, and the air flowing through the jet pipes 10 sucks up the loose grains, which are already moving at a certain speed, and transports them on.
With the device described, it was possible, with a pipe diameter of 20 mm and an excess air pressure of 3 to 4 atmospheres, to convey 180 kg of polyvinyl chloride acetate grains with a specific weight of 1.36 up to a height of 4 m per hour.
