  Klemmvorrichtung zum Festhalten von thermoplastischen Folien während deren Verformung
Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine aus mehreren Klemmrahmen und deren zugeordnete Halterungen bestehende Klemmvorrichtung zum Festhalten von zu verformenden thermoplastischen Folien.



   Zur Warmverformung thermoplastischer Folien werden diese üblicherweise in glattem, ebenen Zustand zwischen zwei Klemmrahmen festgehalten, welche gegeneinander bewegbar eingerichtet sind. Bei grösseren Klemmrahmen ist es nun jedoch schwierig, die Führung der diese Rahmen tragenden Halterungen so auszurichten, dass in jedem Punkt der in der Arbeitsstellung der Vorrichtung aufeinanderliegenden Rahmenkanten ein ausreichender Spanndruck entsteht. Falls diese Führungen nicht genau aufeinander abgestimmt sind, dann sind erhebliche Kräfte erforderlich, um die Folie zwischen den zusammengeführten Rahmen in der erforderlichen Weise festzuhalten.



   Zur Behebung dieses Nachteils der bekannten Ausführungsformen wird gemäss der Erfindung vorgeschlagen, die einander zugeordneten Klemmrahmen kardanisch in ihren Halterungen aufzuhängen. Dies kann vorteilhaft dadurch erreicht werden, dass jeder Klemmrahmen um eine seiner Symmetrie- oder Schwerachsen drehbar in je einem Halterahmen gelagert ist, so dass sich diese Achsen in der Arbeitsstellung der Vorrichtung kreuzen. Eine weitere Möglichkeit besteht darin, dass ein Klemmrahmen im zugeordneten Halterahmen fest angebracht und sein Gegenklemmrahmen in dessen Halterahmen um zwei sich kreuzende Achsen drehbar aufgehängt ist.



   Diese neuartige kardanische Aufhängung hat ausserdem den Vorteil, dass die Klemmrahmen bei einem Formatwechsel schnell und einfach ausgetauscht werden können.



   Nachstehend wird die Erfindung anhand eines bevorzugten Ausführungsbeispiels und einer Zeichnung erläutert.



   Es zeigen:
Fig. 1 das Ausführungsbeispiel der neuen Klemmvorrichtung in deren geöffnetem Zustand,
Fig. 2 die Klemmvorrichtung gemäss Fig. 1 in geschlossenem Zustand.



   Die Klemmvorrichtung umfasst gemäss Fig. 1 und 2 zwei mittels eines Scharniers 1 schwenkbar miteinander verbundene Halterahmen 2 und 3 und je einen in diesen Halterahmen angeordneten Klemmrahmen 4 und 5. Die Klemmrahmen 4, 5 sind je um eine ihrer Symmetrie- und Schwerachsen 6 bzw. 7 drehbar mittels Zapfen 8, 9 in den Halterahmen 2, 3 aufgehängt, und zwar so, dass sich diese Achsen 6, 7 in der Arbeitsstellung der Vorrichtung, das heisst bei aufeinanderliegenden Klemmrahmen 4, 5 kreuzen.



   Beim Einspannen einer Folie zwischen die beiden Klemmrahmen 4, 5 passen sich die Klemmkanten letzterer in ihrer Lage genau aneinander an, so dass alle Punkte der gesamten rahmenartigen Auflagefläche der Klemmkanten unter einem stets gleichmässigen Druck stehen.



   Selbstverständlich ist es abweichend von der Ausführung gemäss Fig. 1 und 2 auch möglich, einen der Klemmrahmen ortsfest anzuordnen und nur den zugehörigen Gegenklemmrahmen kardanisch, das heisst also um zwei sich kreuzende Achsen beweglich aufzuhängen. In diesem Falle wird zwischen dem beweglichen aufgehängten Klemmrahmen und dessen Halterahmen ein weiterer Rahmen vorgesehen, der den Klemmrahmen um eine Symmetrie- oder Schwerachse drehbar trägt und der seinerseits um eine diese Achse kreuzende Achse drehbar im betreffenden Halterahmen aufgehängt ist.

The invention relates to a clamping device consisting of a plurality of clamping frames and their associated holders for holding thermoplastic films to be deformed.



   For thermoforming thermoplastic films, they are usually held in a smooth, flat state between two clamping frames which are designed to be movable relative to one another. In the case of larger clamping frames, however, it is now difficult to align the guidance of the brackets carrying these frames in such a way that sufficient clamping pressure is created at every point of the frame edges lying on top of one another in the working position of the device. If these guides are not precisely matched to one another, considerable forces are required to hold the film between the merged frames in the required manner.



   To remedy this disadvantage of the known embodiments, it is proposed according to the invention that the clamping frames assigned to one another be gimbaled in their holders. This can advantageously be achieved in that each clamping frame is mounted so that it can rotate about one of its symmetry axes or axes of gravity in a respective holding frame, so that these axes intersect in the working position of the device. Another possibility is that a clamping frame is firmly attached in the associated holding frame and its counter-clamping frame is suspended in its holding frame so that it can rotate about two intersecting axes.



   This novel cardanic suspension also has the advantage that the clamping frames can be exchanged quickly and easily when changing formats.



   The invention is explained below on the basis of a preferred exemplary embodiment and a drawing.

   According to FIGS. 1 and 2, the clamping device comprises two holding frames 2 and 3 which are pivotably connected to one another by means of a hinge 1 and a respective clamping frame 4 and 5 arranged in these holding frames. The clamping frames 4, 5 are each about one of their symmetry and center of gravity axes 7 rotatably suspended in the holding frame 2, 3 by means of pins 8, 9, in such a way that these axes 6, 7 intersect in the working position of the device, that is to say when the clamping frames 4, 5 lie on top of one another.



   When a film is clamped between the two clamping frames 4, 5, the clamping edges of the latter adapt exactly to one another in their position, so that all points of the entire frame-like contact surface of the clamping edges are always under uniform pressure.



   Of course, it is also possible, deviating from the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2, to arrange one of the clamping frames in a stationary manner and to suspend only the associated counter-clamping frame in a cardanic manner, that is to say so as to be movable about two intersecting axes. In this case, a further frame is provided between the movable, suspended clamping frame and its holding frame, which supports the clamping frame rotatably about an axis of symmetry or gravity and which in turn is rotatably suspended in the relevant holding frame about an axis crossing this axis.

PATENTANSPRUCH Klemmvorrichtung zum Festhalten von thermoplastischen Folien während ihrer Verformung mittels gegeneinander beweglich angeordneter Klemmrahmen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Klemmrahmen (4, 5) in zugeordneten Halterungen (2, 3) kardanisch aufgehängt sind.
