Vorliegende Erfindung soll diesen Nachteil ver meiden-.
Fig. 2 zeigt einen Querschnitt.
Fig. 4 zeigt dasselbe von der Stirnseite her.
Coupling for compressed gas line The invention relates to a coupling for. Pressure gas line, consisting of two detachably nested parts. The sleeve that is best for supplying the compressed gas contains a spring-pressurized valve, while the other part, which conducts the compressed gas, is a piece of pipe which is provided with an annular groove into which one is arranged in the sleeve,
spring-loaded pawl engages when plugged into one another and, this pawl can be lifted out of the annular groove to release the coupling.
In a known coupling for compressed air, the valve of which can be cntaperrt by means of a pressure lever, the pawl sits on a tangentially displaceable guide pin. Bolt and pawl stand under the action of a spring that holds the pawl in the detent of the pipe section. The bolt has a protruding button. By pushing this button in, the pawl is released and the clutch is released.
As a result of this tangentially displaceable bolt there is a risk that accidentally, for. B. by dropping or hitting the clutch, the button ge presses and the clutch is opened unintentionally.
The present invention is intended to avoid this disadvantage. It is based on the idea that the release of the clutch does not depend on pressing the button, but on a rotary movement.
The invention consists in that the pawl is designed as a cylinder segment, is guided in a recess of the sleeve lying transversely to the coupling axis and is held in the engaged position by an annular spring, and that a rotatable, coaxially around the sleeve,
the recess with the pawl closing ring with a cam is arranged and this cam rests on one of the wedge-shaped ends of the cylinder segment, in such a way that the segment is lifted out of the annular groove of the pipe section when the ring is rotated and the pipe section is pressed onto the Valve is pushed out of the sleeve.
The invention is explained in more detail using an exemplary embodiment.
Fig. 1 shows a section in the axis of the compressed gas coupling.
Fig. 2 shows a cross section.
Fig. 3 shows the Eibau an additional hedging tion in the sleeve in section. Fig. 4 shows the same from the front.
Fig. 5a and 5b show the securing element in view and in section.
In Figures 1 and 2, 1 is the sleeve, 2 is the insertable pipe section. The sleeve is connected to the pressure gas supply side. The compressed gas is passed on via the insertable piece of pipe. The one, pluggable piece of pipe has a nozzle 4 on which the annular groove 5 is attached as a rectangular recess.
In the assembled state of the coupling, the pawl 7 is latched into the annular groove. In this state, the valve 3 is lifted from its closed position, that is to say in the open position. If the pawl 7 is disengaged from the annular groove,
According to the valve to hit. Under the action of the spring 8, the pipe section is ejected and! at the same time shut off the compressed gas.
According to the invention, the cylinder-segment-shaped pawl 7 is located in the transverse recess 6 of the sleeve 1:
- The pawl is guided in the recess so that it can be lifted out. An annular spring 9 holds the pawl in its engaged position. The pawl rests on the base surface 6a of the recess: The pawl has a bevel 7a.
When the pipe section 2 is inserted, the beveled edge 4a slides under the bevel 7a of the pawl and lifts it off. Reason 6a, until the pawl snaps into the annular groove 5 when the coupling is completely plugged together, thus keeping the coupling closed.
To release the coupling by releasing the pawl 7 from the annular groove, a rotatable ring 10 is provided centrally around the coupling part, on which a cam 11 is screwed. This cam rests on the inside surface 7b of the pawl.
By turning the ring in the direction of the arrow, the cam 11 grips the pawl and lifts it off on one side from the base 6a of the recess. This is followed by a disengagement from the annular groove 5 of the Rahrsiük- kes, whereby the pipe section is ejected under the action of the spring -8, while the valve 3 is closed at the same time.
The coupling is released by rotating the ring 10. Strikes on this ring, for. B. as a result of stopping the coupling, are not able to cause any twisting and thus no accidental opening of the coupling: there is full security against accidental, unintentional disconnection of the pressure gas line.
The coupling is particularly suitable for coupling - hoses that carry explosive pressurized gases. A particularly important application is z. B. with welding torches for the supply of hydrogen and oxygen. There, however, another additional safeguard is required.
Under no circumstances should the two hose lines be mixed up when they are coupled together, in order to rule out any risk of explosion.
In order to achieve the highest level of security against incorrect mating with the compressed gas coupling, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, in the end face of the sleeve 1 in a recess 27 a circular disk 22 (Fig. 5a, 5b) used. This has a bore 23 which corresponds to the diameter of the socket 4 of the pipe section 2.
Two cams 24 and 25, which are offset by a certain central angle a, protrude into the bore. Corresponding to the shape of the cams and the size of the central angle a there are longitudinal grooves on the nozzle. 14 and 15 available, which make it possible to insert the socket into the sleeve.
The circular disk 22 is held in the sleeve by means of a beading 27a of the material. The disk is not held rigidly, but can be rotated with a certain force that is not too great. This is intended to ensure that the cams are not sheared off when the pipe section is forcibly rotated in the sleeve. Instead, the disk 22 should give way in the sleeve and twist.
When using this circular backup disk 22 is, for. B. with a double hose line on a welding torch, achieved that the pressure gas lines, which carry oxygen and hydrogen, can under no circumstances be mixed up. This uniqueness is achieved through different central angles a for the two clutches.
Only those sleeves and pipe sections can be coupled together in which the disc 22 coincides with the longitudinal grooves in the socket in terms of cams and angular position thereof. On. This uniqueness could also be done in a known manner by attaching cams to the inner wall of the coupling.
When uncoupling. Such connections have shown, however, that improper handling due to ignorance of the coupling design attempts to twist the coupling parts against each other. There is a risk that the cams in the wall bore will be sheared off, which would result in the loss of the safety measure against being interchanged. This serious disadvantage is avoided by the disc 22, which is only inserted with an adhesive fit in the coupling part.
The securing element is expediently a stamped piece, which results in a high level of precision and cheapness to manufacture. It is advisable to harden the punched piece in order to avoid wear and tear of the bore and deformation at the edge when flanging, whereby the force for the rotatability of the disk is evened out.
