Diesem Mangel will die Neuerung abhelfen.
Fig. 2 zeigt eine flache Schutzkappe<B>5,</B> deren Bau höhe etwa ihrem halben Durchmesser entspricht.
Weather protection device on. a 2-bolt with a head, or a nut The innovation relates to a weather protection device on a bolt with a head or nut for fastening structural elements to building parts.
Panel-shaped components, in particular those that are to be regarded as roof cladding, must be connected to the roof structure with a force fit. This is usually done by means of threaded bolts or by means of hook-shaped links anchored in the roof structure, which extend with their shaft through a hole in the components to be fastened and are then fixed by means of a nut.
It is known to seal the bolts at the feed-through point against penetrating moisture by means of a sealing ring or sealing washer, so that the bolt holes provided in the roof panels are adequately sealed even if they have a larger diameter than the bolt shank. One uses sealing rings or sealing washers ben made of flexible material such. B. lead, or made of resilient material such. B. Kunstganuni or synthetic resin (Polyplast) exist.
These materials have the property of deforming when the connecting means is axially tightened in such a way that an effective seal occurs at all points requiring sealing.
It is also known to design the sealing members, which ring-shaped around the bolt shank, trough-shaped, so that a higher contact pressure prevails on the outer edge when the connecting means is tightened than in the vicinity of the bolt shank.
It is also known to make such sealing members somewhat thicker in the vicinity of the bolt shank with accumulation of material, specifically in the direction of the bolt's longitudinal axis. This ensures that sufficient sealing occurs between the edge of the hole of the construction element to be fastened and the bolt shank, namely by the material of the flexible or elastically flexible sealing member is pressed into the existing annular gap.
One has-already-proposed. to cover the bolt head or the threaded bolt end, including the nut, protruding beyond the tightening nut with a weather-resistant protective cap, the lower edge of which is sealingly placed on the annular sealing member in the axial direction.
The attachment of such a protective cap, however, always requires the presence of threads on the bolt in the known designs. The. Protective cap is screwed onto the bolt shank either with a self-cutting or with a pre-cut thread so that its edge can rest against the sealing washer in the axial direction. Such an embodiment, however, requires a relatively large overall height, because it must be required that a sufficiently long thread part always protrudes outward from the plane of the component.
A protective cap known per se can now be designed in such a way that it can be attached without the presence of threads and without being fixed to the bolt shank with only a small overall height of the protective cap. At the same time, the fastening can be simplified by putting on the <B> - </B> protective cap without turning it.
It is <B> to </B> to be taken into account <B> - </B> that the bolt head or the bolt nut located under the protective cap are invisible, and that one has no control over the rotation of the protective cap, whether the nut is rotated in an undesired manner, so that the <B> - </B> fastening in the axial direction then <B> - </B> no longer exists. However, if the axial tightening decreases somewhat, the sealing of the bolt shank with respect to the component is no longer reliably guaranteed.
The innovation aims to remedy this deficiency.
The weather protection device according to the invention is characterized in that the edge of the cap facing the sealing member and overlapping a shaft-shaped approach of this sealing member - a whale-shaped thickening which, in the assembled state, extends in the radial direction, based on the longitudinal axis of the bolt,
- rests against the attachment of the sealing member under material springing or engages in an annular groove of this attachment with pretension.
This design ensures a completely ge diaper-free mounting of the protective cap. This makes it very easy to put on and also to remove it again just as easily, e.g. B. to control the fastening bolts for the components.
The Schuizkappe can be made so flat that it touches the bolt head or the bolt nut, so the bolt end does not have to protrude from the bolt nut. The bolts can therefore be kept shorter, which saves on construction height. The protective cap becomes correspondingly flatter and <U> can </U> as a rule correspond in height to approximately half its diameter.
The attachment is not only limited to flat cap pen. Rather, it can also be used on upstanding caps, so that fastening bolts with a protruding threaded part of the old design can also be covered. Embodiments who explained with reference to the drawing.
Fig. 1 shows a threaded bolt with an old type of nut with an elastically flexible sealing member and a protective cap assigned to this member in cross section.
Fig. 2 shows a bolt head provided with a sealing member and a flat protective cap in cross section. FIGS. 3 and 4 show the mode of operation of the sealing element on a threaded bolt which extends through a borehole of a flat component and does not completely fill it, also in cross section.
The sealing member <B> 1 </B> which is made of elastically flexible material and which surrounds the bolt shank 2 in a ring shape is deformed when the nut <B> 3 </B> is tightened so that between the sealing member <B> 1 </ B> and the bolt shank 2 or also between the bolt shank and the edge of the hole of the construction element to be fastened is made full contact and thus there is full sealing.
The outer edge 4 of the sealing member is biased against the preferably flat construction body. If this structure has a sloping or corrugated or otherwise uneven surface, a full seal is nevertheless produced because the sealing member <B> 1 </B> deforms accordingly.
The hat-shaped protective cap <B> 5 </B> according to FIG. <B> 1 </B> covers the nut <B> 3 </B> and the relatively w <B> '</B> protruding, threaded bolt end <B> 6, </B> but without any kind of support against the bolt. The sealing member <B> 1 </B> has an annular projection <B> 7 </B> which protrudes slightly in the direction towards the nut <B> 3 </B>. The cap in turn has a bead-shaped thickening <B> at its edge B> 8, </B> which in the actual action lies against the attachment <B> 7 </B> of the body <B> 1 </B> from the outside under the natural spring of the material.
This ensures that the preferably metallic bolt and nut parts that are exposed to corrosion are completely sealed off from the outside air and can therefore no longer corrode. It is no longer necessary to use special bolts with surface protection <B> </B>.
If you make the sealing member and the protective cap made of plastic, for. B. from a so-called poly plastic, these parts are not in need of painting and otherwise not exposed to destruction by Witterungsein flows. They are also resistant to sulphurous exhaust gases and vapors, show no signs of aging and do not lose their sealing effect under the influence of large temperature fluctuations.
Fig. 2 shows a flat protective cap <B> 5 </B> whose construction height corresponds to about half its diameter. In this embodiment, the edge bead <B> 8 </B> of the cap engages in a corresponding annular groove of the sealing body <B> 1 </B>, this body also having a bead-shaped edge thickening.
In the example according to FIGS. 3 and 4, it is shown how the sealing member <B> 1 </B> is deformed when the connecting means, ie the fastening bolt, is axially tightened.
The borehole <B> 10 </B> provided in the plate-shaped construction element <B> 9 </B> to be fastened is kept larger than the diameter of the screw bolt <B> 11 </B> to compensate for inaccuracies in the fit. The elastically flexible one The material of the sealing member <B> 1 </B> is deformed when the bolt <B> 11 </B> is axially tightened in such a way that the sealing member rests firmly against the bolt shank on the one hand and also against the edge of the hole on the other B> 10,
</B> so that a good seal is created against both components. The outer edge 4 of the sealing member lies against the outer surface of the body <B> 9 </B> in a manner known per se.
