2-Amino-1,3-stickstoff-heterocyclen der Formeln I
EMI0001.0007

Process for the production of heterocyclic nitrogen compounds The present invention relates to a process for the production of heterocyclic nitrogen compounds.
It has been found that 2-imino- or 2-amino-1,3-nitrogen-heterocycles of the formulas I
EMI0001.0007
in which A is an aliphatic or an aliphatic bonded by a, ss or a, y carbon atoms with the nitrogen atoms, or is connected by a,
A cycloaliphatic radical linked to f carbon atoms and R is a lipophilic group of 10-16 carbon atoms or an araliphatic group containing such a radical is obtained when a guanidine compound of the formula II
EMI0001.0023
heated with elimination of ammonia.
In formulas I and II, R preferably denotes a dodecyl or tetradecyl radical, or an araliphatic radical containing such a group, e.g. B. a (4'-dodecyl) benzyl radical.
For the remainder A in formulas I and 1I come z. B. the following radicals in question: alkylene radicals such as 1,2-ethylene, 1,2-propylene, 1,2- or 2,3-butylene, 1,3-propylene, 2-methyl-1,3 propylene and cycloalkylene radicals, such as 1,2-cyclopentylene or 1,2-cyclohexylene radicals and their homologues derivatives.
When carrying out the process according to the invention, the preferred procedure is to heat the guanidine compound of the formula II to 120-150. The ring closure takes place with elimination of ammonia. Depending on the reaction conditions, the reaction product is obtained either as a free base or as a corresponding salt (e.g. as the hydrochloride).
By adding equivalent amounts of strong alkalis, e.g. B. sodium or potassium alcoholate, the resulting salts (z. B. the hydrohalide) of compounds of the formula I can be converted into the corresponding free bases. However, it is advantageous to use the heteroeyclic nitrogen compounds of the For mel I in the form of their salts, eg. B. in the form of their hydrochloride to store and use.
The starting materials in question guanidine compounds of formula II can, for. B. by reacting a diamino compound of the formula III R-NH-A-NH2 (11I) with an S-alkyl- or S-aralkyl-isothiourea. The guanidine compounds obtained do not need to be isolated for the inventive preparation of the heterocyclic nitrogen compounds of the formula I.
The heterocyclic nitrogen compounds prepared according to the invention are colorless to pale colored, crystalline to waxy, light-stable substances which, in the form of their salts, are water-soluble with acids. The connections are e.g. B. valuable biocidal agents, which are characterized by a wide range of effects and good bactericidal effect.
They are also algicidal. The agents can be used on their own, in solution or in a mixture with other biocidal substances and with inert carriers or fillers, ointment bases, creams, etc. They are used in a wide variety of application areas. So they are z.
B. in human and veterinary medicine, disinfecting and antiseptic agents, since they show good to very good effectiveness against staphylococci, coli, typhoid, paratyphoid and enteritis bacilli. Thanks to the good water solubility of their salts with acids, the new compounds can also be used with advantage for the disinfecting and anti-septic treatment of textiles, such as woolen blankets, restaurant and hotel linen.
Textile fabric which is treated with a 1% to 2% aqueous solution of compounds according to the invention is not only germ-free after drying, but it also shows a certain long-term effect from a bacteriostatic point of view. Textiles treated in this way show no signs of yellowing after long periods of storage or exposure.
The products which can be prepared according to the invention can also be used in organic solvents for dry cleaning of textiles. They can also be used to disinfect rooms, where they are advantageously used in the form of sprays and aerosols. They can also be used to disinfect appliances and furnishings in the household or in food and fermentation plants. Finally, cosmetics should be mentioned as a further area of application, where the middle tel z. B. used in ointments and creams.
