Fastening of adjustable blades for axial fans during operation The invention relates to a fastening of adjustable blades during operation for axial fans with separate radial and axial bearings for the blades. It consists in the fact that each part carrying a blade is rotatably mounted on the one hand in a cylindri's guide as a wheel bearing and on the other hand in a thread serving as an axial guide.
Compared to the comb or ball bearings previously used for the axial bearing of the blades, the use of a thread as a thrust bearing has the advantage that, in addition to the pure rotation through the pitch of the thread, the blade moves in the direction of its axis. As a result, however, the mean blade clearance relative to the cylindrical housing can be kept essentially constant at the various angles of attack.
As a result, the flow losses remain almost the same for all blade positions, which in turn results in a more uniform degree of efficiency under the various operating conditions. In addition, with the arrangement according to the invention, the replacement of defective blades is made easier because the blades can be released from the thread from the outside and pulled out through a relatively small opening in the housing in the direction of their axis if the lever system for the Adjusting device has been released.
The thread is expediently arranged in a bushing, which in turn is adjustably threaded into the wheel hub. This allows the clearance between the blade tip and the fan housing to be set evenly for all blades, or any imbalance in the impeller that may be present can be compensated for by pulling in or moving individual blades outwards. It can also be advantageous that the cylindrical guide is located in a ring that is releasably verbun with the wheel hub.
This separation of the hub and rim gestat tet to select different material for both parts, z. B. steel for the highly stressed hub and gray cast iron or a light metal alloy for the less stressed rim.
A favorable embodiment also results if the bushing is designed as a hollow cylinder which, in addition to the thread, also contains the cylindrical guide, whereby it is then held in its exact position by inserting a supplement. Finally, the arrangement can advantageously be designed in such a way that the blade root is fastened to the bushing which comprises the radial or slightly inclined axle journal and is rotatably threaded into it on one side. The axle journal is then screwed directly to the hub of the impeller.
The invention is described in connection with the drawing, for example. Figs. 1, 3 and 5 show various embodiment examples of the invention in a section along the blade axes, while Fig.2, 4 and 6 represent the section of an impeller seen from the shaft. The same parts are provided with the same reference numbers.
The blades 8 (FIGS. 1 and 2) are connected to the journal 5. The latter is mounted outside in a cylindrical guide 10, while inside a thread 3 serves as an axial guide. The thread 3 is rotatably threaded into a bush 11, which in turn is screwed into the hub 1 of the impeller. The hub 1 itself is placed on the shaft 2. The sleeve 11 enables a uniform setting of the .Spiels between the blade tips and the housing, not shown, of the fan.
On the other hand, any imbalance in the impeller that may be present can be compensated for by pulling in or moving the individual bushings 11 outwards. After the setting, each sleeve 11 is secured by a conventional fuse 4 against adjustment during operation. The cylindrical guide 10 is located in a disk rim-like ring 6, which is BEFE by means of the screws 7 on the hub 1 Stigt.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 4, the disk-like rim 6 is missing and is replaced by the hollow cylinder-like design of the sleeve 11, which then also receives the cylindrical guide 10 at its outer end. By inserting an insert 14, similar to the example of FIG. 1, each vane can be individually adjusted in its distance from the vane tip housing wall and fixed in this position by a known, non-illustrated fuse.
The blade 8 is in the variant of the invention according to Figure 5 and 6 either by the blade foot 15 with the hollow cylinder-like sleeve 11 directly connected or consists of one piece with this. In this case, this bushing 11 has the thread 3 serving as an axial bearing at the outer end and is rotatably threaded with it into the axle journal 5, while the cylindrical guide 10 is located inside the journal 5. The axle journal is then screwed directly to the hub 1.
The individual setting of the blades can also be done in this example as in Figure 3 by inserting an insert either between the blade root 15 and sleeve 11 or between the journal 5 and hub 1, which is not shown again specifically.
In all the described embodiments who the blades 8 in a known manner, for. B. by means of a lever 9, which is attached to the journal 5 or to the hollow cylinder of the sleeve 11, ver via joints, not shown, and a servo motor.
