Compressed air switch for multiple interruptions with one circuit breaker The higher the required breaking capacity for circuit breakers, the more interruption points a circuit breaker must have. With the high breaking capacities that occur today, it is usually not enough to simply switch several interruption points one behind the other, instead one has to arrange different types of interruption points, one of which is bridged by low-ohmic resistors and another of the current flowing through the resistor turns off.
As a result, the total number of interruptions must be even greater.
It is therefore necessary to make the arrangement of the individual switching points as simple as possible and to provide the organs necessary for actuation and blowing as far as possible for several switching points together. In this way, switches with power switching points and voltage disconnection points can be operated using a valve that is common to all switching points. This is only possible if the switching points work in the same way, that is to say that all switch off when the switch-off command is given and remain in the switched-off state and switch on at about the same time when switched on.
However, this version is not possible for circuit breakers where the circuit breakers close again immediately after the arc has been extinguished and are only kept open via the voltage separation point. However, simplifications can also be made here.
A simple type of pneumatic control for the voltage separation point can then be achieved if their contacts are moved into the open position when switched off by compressed air and are kept there and, on the other hand, the activation takes place by removing these compressed air. This actuation air can also be used as blown air for the contacts of the voltage separation point and for their insulation.
The control elements for the supply of this actuating and blowing air are attached to the earthed side of the switch, while the actuating devices for the voltage separation point are live like this itself.
The control valves for the power switching points can be arranged in the vicinity of the same, so they are also under voltage in order to achieve the greatest possible extinguishing effect of the compressed air. In addition, auxiliary containers are advantageously arranged in the vicinity of the power switching points for this purpose.
The compressed air switch corresponding to the invention for multiple interruptions with a power switching point, which closes again immediately after the arc is extinguished, so that the actuation takes place in a pulsed manner, and a voltage separation point, which is released by supplying compressed air and by releasing it the compressed air switches on and is blown with compressed air is indicated by
that a valve for the power switching point is located directly at the power switching point carrying voltage and is actuated by the pressure increase in the actuation and blown air of the voltage separation point.
Embodiments of the invention corre sponding compressed air switch are explained in more detail in the figures. In Fig. 1, the power switch are designated with 2 and 3, and the directly energized main control valves with 7 and B. The switching points is supplied from the auxiliary compressed air tank 1 compressed air via the valves, which tank via the insulator 15 with the not shown Main compressed air tank is in communication.
The main valves 7 and 8 now have a response value that is significantly below the operating pressure of the air supplied from the container. The valve chamber 9 is now directly connected to the quenching chamber 5 for the voltage separation point.
When compressed air flows from the isolator 14 into the chamber, the valves 7 and 8 speak already during the pressure increase and open; then compressed air can flow from the container 1 at full pressure immediately into the arcing chambers of the power switching stations and extinguish the arc there. The valves 7 and 8 close again afterwards, since in between compressed air has also reached the rear of the associated piston through the openings 11 and a spring pushes it upwards again.
In the meantime, the chamber 5 has been filled with compressed air so that the contact opens and remains open as long as there is compressed air in the chamber. To turn on the switch only the air needs to be let out of the feed insulator 14 to whoever, what happens through a control valve attached to the lower end for the voltage separation point (not shown).
You can now switch an intermediate valve 12 between the chamber 5 for the voltage separation point and the chamber 9 for the main valves, as shown in FIG. Then only the intermediate valve responds due to the pressure increase, which releases the compressed air for the main valve 7 from the intermediate container. The intermediate valve therefore already responds to the pressure increase, while in this case the main valve is designed for approximately full pressure. In this example, only a single control valve is shown for both power switching points.
Fig. 3 and 4 show arrangements in which the control or blower valves 16 of the power switch are on the exhaust side of the same and voltage-carrying point. This type of valve is also controlled by the compressed air in the actuation and switching rooms of the voltage separation points. When the pressure in the feed 14 increases, the valve (FIG. 4) or the valves (FIG. 3) are actuated.
As a result, the openings 18 are connected to the space of the additional container 19. The air flows out of the container 19 through this so that the compressed air in the quenching chambers 2 and 3 can push the piston 17 with the movable contact piece upwards. As a result, the ventilation occurs immediately and flows out into the open through the openings 18; the valve 16 closes again.
This time is determined by the openings 20, through which compressed air reaches the rear of the piston of the valve 18 and the spring pushes the piston to the left; then the chamber 3 and 19 fills from the auxiliary container 1 again with compressed air. The spring of the piston 17 then pushes it down again and the switch closes its contact.
These arrangements have the advantage that the main valves are actuated as soon as the compressed air rises and, nevertheless, the full compressed air is immediately available for extinguishing. This results in an immediate effect on the power switch points and a delayed effect on the voltage disconnection points. In addition, there is a space-saving design, since the compressed air for the main valves and the chamber for the voltage separation point is supplied together.
