Spülflotten an Wirkstoff gemischen beträgt ungefähr 50-500 ppm.

Blackford in Fungus-inhibitive properties of bromo-acetamides, Journal of Bacteriology, 57, p..339, March 1949 be schriebenen Methode durchgeführt, indem der Wirk stoff in abgestuften Konzentrationen dem Nährboden zugesetzt wird.

Germicidal Agent The present invention relates to a germicidal agent and its use for making laundry or organic non-textile materials less germic and for simultaneously treating these materials against bacterial and fungal attack.
The germicidal agent according to the invention contains an active substance mixture of at least one compound of the formula
EMI0001.0005
in which R is an aliphatic hydrocarbon radical of 10 to 16 carbon atoms or an araliphatic radical containing such a group and A is an aliphatic radical linked by a, ss or a, y carbon atoms, or from their salts with acids, such as the hydro halides, sulfates, acetates or lactates,
and from at least one compound of the formula
EMI0001.0017
in which Xi is chlorine or bromine, X., hydrogen, chlorine or bromine, Y is chlorine, bromine or the trifluoromethyl group and Z is hydrogen or the trifluoromethyl group, the weight ratio of the compounds of the formula 1 to the compounds of the formula 1I 9: 1 to 1: 4, advantageously 3: 1 to 2: 3.
R means, for example, the n-decyl, n-dodecyl; n-tetradecyl or hexadecyl group or the 4-n dodecylbenzyl group.
If A is an aliphatic radical bonded to α, β-carbon atoms, it means, for example, the 1,2-ethylene, 1,2-propylene, 1,2- or 2,3-butylene radical; if it is an aliphatic radical bonded to a, y carbon atoms, it represents z. B. the 1,3-propylene, 1,3-butylene, the 1,3- or 2,4-pentylene radical.
With regard to the fungicidal effect, those agents have proven to be best that contain an active ingredient mixture consisting of a compound of the formula
EMI0001.0044
in which R is an aliphatic hydrocarbon radical with 12 to 14 carbon atoms, or their salts with acids, especially the hydrohalide, and from a compound of the formula IV

consists.
The organic non-textile materials, which are to be made low in germs and at the same time to be permanently equipped against bacterial and fungal attack, are either sprayed or impregnated with the active ingredient mixtures as such or in the form of their solutions or dispersions.
Another possible use of the active ingredient mixture is in cosmetics; it is used here in the form of ointments or powder. The active ingredient mixtures are also used to protect ready-to-use preparations of inorganic or organic pigments for the painting trade, plastic items, plasticizers, and paints from fungal attack.
In the form of solutions or dispersions, they are z. B. used for germ reduction of paper or for the production of so-called sprays for room disinfection.
The aqueous solutions or dispersions advantageously also contain detergents, for example anion-active substances such as aromatic sulfonic acids or sulfonic acids substituted by lipophilic groups.
their water-soluble salts, such as the sodium salt of dodecylbenzenesulphonic acid, or that of the naphthalenesulphonic acid-formaldehyde condensation products, or water-soluble salts of sulfuric acid monoesters of higher molecular weight alcohols or their polyglycol ethers, for example of dodecyl alcohol sulfate, furthermore non-fatty alcohol sulfate or of alkali metal sulfate sulfate or of dodecyl polyglycolic acids.
such as polyglycol ethers of higher fatty alcohols, also polyglycol ethers of higher molecular weight alkylated phenols, as well as so-called ampho- tere detergent substances, such as conversion products of alkali salts of lower halogen fatty acids with polyalkylene polyamines containing lipophilic radicals, eg. B. with lauryl diethylenetriamine.
The content of the aqueous solutions or dispersions optionally containing detergents, that is to say of the washing or rinsing liquors, of active substance mixtures is approximately 50-500 ppm.
In addition to the active ingredient mixtures and any detergents present, the aqueous treatment baths can also contain conventional additives such as water-soluble perborates, polyphosphates, carbonates, silicates, optical brighteners, plasticizers, acidic salts such as ammonium or zinc silicofluoride or certain organic acids, such as oxalic acid, also finishing agents, e.g. B. those based on synthetic resin or starch.
The active ingredient mixtures can also contain soaps, such as. B. hand soaps, are incorporated.
The organic materials treated with the agents according to the invention are largely germ-free and remain germ-repellent for a long time.
The fungicidal and bactericidal effect of the new mixtures of active ingredients far exceeds that of the individual components. Thanks to this synergistic effect, a given purpose can be achieved with a significantly lower concentration of the active ingredient mixtures in the carrier than when using the individual components.
The bactericidal properties according to the definition of 2-imino-1,3-di-nitrogen heterocycles of the formula I are generally fully retained in active ingredient mixtures in relation to gram-positive bacteria and are usually increased compared to gram-negative bacteria.
The biocidal effect of the active ingredient mixtures extends, for example, to Ctenomyces interdigitalis, Candida albicans, Penicillium expansum, Penicillium italicum, Stachybotris atra, Chaetomium glo- bosum, as well as to certain bacteria,
for example on staphylococci and particularly pronounced on coli bacilli.
In the experiments below and in the example, parts are parts by weight, unless otherwise expressly noted. The temperatures are given in degrees Celsius. Parts by weight relate to parts by volume as g to cm3. Trial A Synergistic effect on bacteria and fungi with the active ingredient mixture

Experimental set-up In principle, the tests are carried out according to that of John M. Leonard and Virginia L.
Blackford in Fungus-inhibitive properties of bromo-acetamides, Journal of Bacteriology, 57, p..339, March 1949 be carried out by the active substance is added to the nutrient medium in graduated concentrations.
For each organism to be tested, the suitable culture medium, namely for Escherichia coli 96, Penicillium expansum, Penicillium italicum, Fusarium oxysporum, Candida albicans, Aspergillus niger, Staphylococcus aureus, is selected.
The arbitrarily chosen concentration series is: 0.1, 0.3, 1.3, 10, 30, 100 and 1000 ppm. The active ingredient is pre-dissolved in ethylene glycol monomethyl ether at a concentration of 2.411 / o and the solution is diluted with water in such a way that the desired amounts of active ingredient can be added to the word or nutrient agar before it is frozen. The agar is poured in suitable portions into Petri dishes and, after solidification, with the 24-hour old bacterial strains or bacteria listed in Table 1.
10 day old mushroom stems inoculated. The bacteria are incubated for 48 hours at 37 ° C, for the fungi at least 72 hours at 28 ° C; it is then registered at which minimum concentrations of the individual active ingredients no growth of the organisms occurred. These values are entered in the table below.

in the ratio of 2 parts V to 1 part IV.
In order to test the effect of the above substance mixture after the application under practical conditions, the mixture of 2 parts of the compound of the formula V + 1 part of the compound of the formula IV in a solution in ethylene glycol monomethyl ether was added to the wash liquor, so that 200 mg Active ingredient per liter of wash liquor. Octylphenol polyglycol ether is used as a detergent; the wash liquor contains 0.3 g / 1 of this detergent, 0.5 g / 1 perborate and 1.7 g / 1 polyphosphates.
The liquor ratio was 1: 6. Utility laundry from a hospital was washed in a 10k drum washer. The washing temperature was 40 respectively. 90. The treatment time at this temperature was 18 minutes. Four rinse cycles were connected, the items to be washed were then swung and dried.
The finished laundry was then tested for permanent effectiveness of its disinfecting power by inoculating sections of the mentioned laundry with a 24-hour-old culture of Staphylococcus aureus SG 511, incubating for 24 hours in a humid chamber and then suspending them in a sterile physiological solution. The ratio of the physiological solution to the section of the test piece was 1:20.
After 20, 40, 80 and 160 minutes, 1 ml was removed from the extraction solutions and mixed with 20 ml of nutrient agar. The nutrient agar was poured into plates and incubated in the thermostat at 37 for 48 hours. Based on this experimental set-up, the following bacterial counts per cm3 extraction solution were determined:
