Burner head on a pressure atomizer oil burner The object of the present invention is a burner head on a pressure atomizer oil burner with an axially adjustable nozzle which is arranged coaxially in an air tube.
The aim of the invention is to create a burner head which not only ensures the formation of a stable flame but also uniform, good combustion over the entire flame cross-section. For this purpose, the burner head has a pipe section which forms the outlet of the air pipe and which carries, in or approximately in its outlet plane at an axial distance from the nozzle, an annular disc which is arranged at least approximately coaxially to the air pipe and which is provided with a plurality of openings,
wherein the disc ring surface appearing in the axial view of the disc is larger than the cross-sectional area of an annular gap formed between the annular disc and the pipe section, the cross-sectional area of which is larger than the cross-sectional area of the central annular disc opening.
It has been shown that the air emerging through the central disk opening together with the oil mist tears the oil mist apart in such a way that it mixes intimately with the air emerging through the outer air gap and the disk openings, so that the core of the before the Disc-forming flame a perfect combustion and thus a high flame temperature is achieved, whereby as a result of the disc the heat accumulates in front of the same, so that the oil can gasify in this area.
In the accompanying drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown; It shows: FIG. 1 an oil burner with a burner head according to the invention in axial section and FIG. 2 a view of the burner head according to FIG. 1 from the front.
The oil burner shown has in the usual way a housing 1 with a fan 2, an air tube 3 being inserted into the housing outlet. In the air pipe 3 is a holder 4 serving for the oil supply nozzle pipe 5 with attached to the outlet end, coaxially arranged to the pipe nozzle 6 is mounted axially displaceable. The electrodes 7 of the ignition device are arranged in the air tube 3 parallel to the nozzle tube 5. The rear end of the nozzle tube 5 secured against rotation carries a nut 8, which sits on a threaded rod 9 parallel to the nozzle tube 5 and is axially displaceable by means of this.
The rear end of the threaded rod 9 is led out of the housing 1 and carries a rotary knob 10.
A pipe section 11 of a burner head is placed on the outlet end of the air pipe 3. The pipe section can be screwed onto the air pipe or welded to it; it can also be inserted into the air tube 3 instead of onto the tube 3, as in the example shown. The pipe section 11 can be arranged fixedly or axially adjustable on the air pipe 3. In its outlet plane, the pipe section 11 carries an annular disc 13 by means of the webs 12. In the example shown, the annular disc 13 is exactly coaxial with the air pipe 3 or with the pipe section 11.
But it is also an arrangement possible in which the disk axis to the Luftrohraxe, z. B. in the horizontal or vertical direction, is slightly offset. An annular gap 14 is formed between the outer edge of the annular disk 13 and the inner surface of the pipe section 11.
The annular surface F1 of the annular disc 13 that appears in the axial view of the disc is larger than the (free) cross-sectional area F2 of the annular gap 14, and this cross-sectional area F2 is in turn larger than the cross-sectional area F3 of the central disc opening 15.
Tests have shown that the best results are achieved when F1: F3 is approximately 6 to 8: 1 and F2: F3 is approximately 4 to 5.5: 1. Furthermore, the annular disc 13 has a plurality of concentric rings of holes 16. In the example shown, three rings of round holes are provided, the offset in the circumferential direction from the holes of the outer and inner ring of holes of the central ring have larger diameter than the holes of the two other wreaths. Instead of the round holes 16, radial slots or slots curved in the circumferential direction could also be provided in the annular disk.
The peripheral edge of the annular disk 13 can be cylindrical; however, the outer peripheral edge of the annular disk 13 is expedient, as in the example shown, broken. The peripheral edge of the disk 13 could also be rounded or tapered to a sharp outer edge. Furthermore, the ring disc 13 has a small, conical hub extension 17 which faces the nozzle 6. This approach has proven to be particularly useful in practice; it could possibly also be left out. It would also be conceivable to arch the annular disk 13 away from the nozzle 6 outwardly in the shape of a plate.
The distance between the nozzle 6 and the annular disk 13 can be precisely regulated by means of the rotary knob 10 via the threaded rod 9 and the nut 8.
In the example shown, a separate pipe piece 11 is provided for supporting the annular disc 13; but it is also possible to use the end part of the air tube 3 itself as a support tube piece for the annular disk.
Thanks to the new burner head construction, the burner described results in perfect atomization or gasification of the oil, since a stable flame that is driven apart in the core and burning almost uniformly over its entire cross section is obtained. CO and soot formation are negligibly small.
