Device for measuring the coordinates of measuring points in a translucent, flat template displaceable in the direction of the coordinate axes. The invention relates to a device for measuring the coordinates of measuring points in a flat template, e.g. B. in an aerial photograph in which the original can be moved in the coordinate directions relative to a measurement mark.
Such devices are known as comparators or stereo comparators in evaluation technology. There are one or two originals on one or two carriers, which can be moved by spindles relative to one or two measuring marks. The displacement magnitudes of the carriers of these templates, calculated from a starting point each, indicate the coordinate values of the point of the terrain that is simply or stereoscopically coincident with the measurement mark.
The coordinate values are set directly in counters or other registration devices by turning the spindles.
In the course of technical progress, these known devices no longer meet the accuracy requirements that are placed on the evaluation results today. This is primarily due to the fact that the spindles are used both for setting the measuring mark to the measuring point and for registering the displacement quantity required for this, in that, for example, their numbers of revolutions are displayed in a counter.
Because the spindles on the one hand cannot be manufactured beyond a certain accuracy limit and on the other hand are subject to wear, dead gears can occur between them and the templates, where the accuracy of the measurement is impaired.
In addition, the Abbe comparator principle is not adhered to with sufficient strictness in these known devices, so that this also results in measurement errors. Finally, errors also occur because temperature influences cause different expansions, for example of the metal of the spindles and of the carrier of the aerial image, namely a glass plate.
All of these errors hardly allowed measurement accuracy in the aerial photograph beyond 1 / 10o mm.
The invention strives for an accuracy that is approximately 10 times as high, so that the coordination of a measuring point can be obtained with a sufficiently good point definition up to a few, c, with accuracy.
This is achieved according to the invention by a coincident with the template and displaceable with it, a scratched, colorless coordinate network in a transparent base of practically the same thermal expansion as the template, by a measuring mark fixed in relation to this and the template and by an optional Lighting device that can be switched to incident and incident light.
In addition, a displaceable reading rake is expediently provided for each coordinate direction for determining the fine measurement value. The measuring mark and reading rake can be moved to an auxiliary level outside the template, in which the template is optically depicted.
The basic measuring process begins in the usual way with the compound slide carrying the template being displaced in both coordinate directions until a measuring point is brought into congruence with the measuring mark with an accuracy that can easily be achieved subjectively. The lines of the coordinate network that are closest to the measuring point indicate the coordinate values of the measuring point as a first approximation.
With this setting, the result is generally that there is no coincidence between the reading rakes and the horizontal and vertical lines of the coordinate network which, according to the invention, cover the original and move with it, adjacent to the measuring point.
The subsequent fine measurement process, if necessary, consists in shifting the reading rakes in both coordinate directions until the sub-lines of the rake closest to them coincide exactly with the lines of the coordinate network adjacent to the measuring point. The shift values of the two calculators each indicate the fine measured values by which the more or less rough approximate values are corrected.
However, this basic measuring process is made more difficult by the fact that the superimposition of the detailed base, the coordinate network and the reading rake results in a confusing overall picture in the device's eyepiece.
Even the presetting of the measuring mark on a measuring point can be made more difficult by the coordinate network if, for example, a line of the same is in the vicinity of the measuring point.
According to a further feature of the invention, these disadvantages are eliminated in that the measuring device is provided with an illumination arrangement which optionally allows transmitted light illumination and incident light illumination to be switched on.
The fine, colorless network of coordinates remains invisible in the transmitted light. This is particularly what he wants in the stereoscopic measurement of image pairs in which the measurement mark is spatially seen. With the lighting arrangement described, the measuring mark setting can be made in the transmitted light in which practically only the original with the measuring mark and possibly the reading rake surrounding it at a distance is visible. For the subsequent fine measurement, the lighting device is now switched to incident light.
Here, the template itself is made to disappear, while now on a darker background the engraving of the coordinate network appears bright in the scattered light and the coincidence setting of the rake and coordinate network by moving the rake without overloading the field of view with details of those that are no longer required for this Submission can go on.
As can be seen, the accuracy of the displacement of the original itself and thus the design of the spindles and the cross slide are no longer decisive for this measurement, since the spindles now only have the task of determining the position of the aerial image together with the coordinate - to change the data network relative to the measuring mark.
The reference variable for the output of the fine measurement is the line pair of the coordinate network adjacent to the measuring point, but not the number of revolutions of the spindle which is used to transport it together with the base. Of course, this does not preclude the use of the number of revolutions of a spindle that is not worked particularly precisely in order to count the lines of the coordinate network that move through the field of view when the template is moved for measuring mark setting. The quality of the usual spindles is by far sufficient not to falsify these rough count values.
The measuring process is exhausted in two steps: 1. the setting in which the measuring mark is made to coincide with a measuring point on the original and 2. the displacement of the reading rulers relative to the coordinate network until the lines of the coordinate network adjacent to the measuring point coincide with them the closest tick mark of the reading is achieved.
The coordinate network is preferably subdivided into centimeters, the reading rulers formed by double lines correspondingly into millimeters. By choosing a sufficiently high ratio (1:50) for the displacement of the reading rake, its displacement paths can be measured with an accuracy of a few ec.
The operation of an embodiment of the device according to the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing.
The figures show: FIG. 1 a stereo comparator in section, FIG. 2 the field of view, for example of the left partial image of the device according to FIG. 1 in transmitted light, FIG. 3 the field of view at the beginning of the measurement in the incident light, FIG Reading position, even if in incident light.
The device illustrated in FIG. 1 is used to determine the coordinates of a measuring point in two aerial photographs. It consists of two parts with a mirror-symmetrical structure. For the sake of clarity, only the left half of the device is shown in section.
Inside the housing 1, the transparent template 2, for example the slide of an image recording, is backed by a glass plate 3, which contains an incised colorless coordinate network 4, and is fixed on a compound slide 5, 6. The spindle 7, which is coupled to a counter 10 via a gear 8, 9, is used to move the compound slide in the plane of the drawing.
The spindle is operated by a handwheel 31. The spindle 37, which is operated by a handwheel (not shown) and via a gear 38, 39 and a flexible shaft 40 and another gear 41, 42, is used to move the cross slide perpendicular to the drawing plane the counter 43 is coupled.
The lighting device for the template 2 or the coordinate network 3 consists of a light source 25 for incident light and a light source 26 with a condenser 26 'for incident light. They can optionally be brought into effect. About a pentaprism 11, the lenses 13 and 14 and a reflective prism 12 arranged between them is generated in the image plane 15, an intermediate image of the original or of the coincident coordinate network.
This intermediate image coincides with the measuring mark 17 and the glass plate 16 containing the reading rakes (not shown in FIG. 1). They are observed together in the eyepiece 19 (and 19 ').
The reticle 16 is mounted in a cross slide 35, 45 which is within the intermediate image plane 15 in the plane of the drawing and perpendicular to the same displaceable. The movement of the cross slide 35, 45 is used by the lever 30 which is pivotable about the pivot point 20 and which is actuated by a spindle 21. This is coupled to a handwheel 34 via a gear 32, 33 and a further gear 22, 23 to a counter 24. The movement of the compound slide 35, 45 in the direction perpendicular to the plane of the drawing is a lever 44 mounted at 46 and actuated via a spindle 47. This is connected to the counter 54 via a gear 48, 49 with a hand wheel 51 and another gear 52, 53.
Before the start of the measurement, the cross slide 35, 45 is rotated into its zero position. The light source 25 intended for light passing through is then switched on, so that in the eyepiece 19 only one image of the original together with the measurement mark 17 and the. Reading rake (181-4) appears. By turning the spindles 7 and 37, the compound slide 5, 6 is now shifted until a measuring point on the original 2 is brought into congruence with the measuring mark visible in the center of the field of view of the eyepiece 19.
The counters 10 and 43 show approximate values of the coordinates.
This setting is shown in Fig. 2. This shows. of the details of the template, as an example, only a house 55, with one corner of which the measuring mark 17 is brought into congruence as a measuring point. The setting is not disturbed by the reading rakes 181 to 184, since these surround the measuring mark 17 with a sufficient distance.
After this setting, the light source 25 is switched off and the light source 26 used to illuminate the light is switched on.
The image illustrated in FIG. 3 appears in the field of view of the eyepiece, in which the template itself with the house 55 is no longer visible. However, the coordinate network 4 now appears, which appears bright in the scattered light of the striking illumination compared to the darker background.
As can be seen from FIG. 3, in the example provided between the sixth division .ies rake 181, 18, and the vertical line of the coordinate network -1 adjacent to the measurement mark 17), approximately coincidence is already established. The spindle for moving the compound slide 35, 45 in the corpse plane therefore only needs to be rotated by a small amount.
The counter 24 shows the last three digits of the abscissa value with 004, for example. Then, by turning the handwheel 51 via the spindle 47 and the lever 44, the compound slide is displaced perpendicularly to the plane of the drawing until, as shown in FIG. 4, the fourth graduation of the rake 183, 184 coincides with the horizontal line of the coordinate network is brought.
The counter 54 indicates the last three decimals of the ordinate value as 257, for example. The information from counters 24 and 54 supplements or corrects those of counters 10 and 43.
The identical measuring device in the right half of the housing 1 is now used in the same way. Here, too, the same corner of house 55 is chosen as the measuring point. The coordinate values determined in the left and right measuring devices differ by certain amounts, which represent a measure of the parallaxes in the x and y directions.
These parallax values are thus obtained with the same accuracy as the coordinate values of the measuring point itself.
In particular, FIGS. 2 to 4 clearly show that the transition from lighting with transmitted light to lighting with incident light provides clear measuring fields that allow comfortable settings that are not tiring for the eye.
