Driver's brake valve device on rail vehicles with several operating points The invention relates to a driver's brake valve device on rail vehicles that can be actuated from several points of the vehicle.
Up to now, it has been customary to accommodate a driver's brake valve in the vehicle, if the brake device should be able to be changed freely, i.e. regardless of the current state of the brake device, on a vehicle with several control points, the spindle of which is mechanically operated by chains, .Gear wheels or linkage was connected to the driver's brake levers at the control points.
The spatial arrangement of the operating points was not arbitrary, but rather tied to the conditions of the transmission facility. In addition, the mechanical transmission device had to be specially designed for each type of vehicle, and the mechanics also required constant maintenance in order to remain operational.
There are also pneumatic solutions to the task of a permissive changeability of the operating points become known. With them, however, the operation of a special valve is required, after which the desired operator station takes over the control of the braking processes. In addition, it is only possible to couple two control points with these systems.
On the other hand, it is the object of the invention to provide the free swift change of any number of controls that cannot be attached to any mechanics in the vehicle without actuating additional valves; to enable.
According to the invention, this object is to be achieved in that a relay valve determines the pressure in the main air line, which is monitored by a pressure regulator set to a target pressure and its pressure in:
at least one control chamber is controlled by manually operated compressed air valves which are arranged at the control points.
In the drawing, a device with two control points and connection options for any number of other control points is shown in a schematic view as an embodiment of the subject invention.
To a known relay valve 1 with a control piston 3, a housing 4 with a second control piston 5, which is connected to the former by the piston rod 17, is attached in such a way that a total of four separate control chambers 7, 9, 11, 13 arise. The top control chamber 13 according to the drawing .is connected via a line 23 and a throttle nozzle 25 to a pressure regulator 15 of known type, which its compressed air from the. Main air tank 27 receives.
The: lower: control chamber 11 of the upper control piston 5 is closed off by a membrane 29 which carries a valve seat 31. The valve seat 31 can rest against a sealing washer 33 so that the passage of air from the control chamber 11 through a nozzle 35 into the upper control chamber 9 of the control piston 3, which is constantly connected to the outside air, is interrupted.
The lower control chamber 7 of the control piston 3 is constantly: the: pressure of the main air line 37 is applied. At the spatially separated, similarly structured Be service points 39 there is a lever 41 which, if it is moved by hand in one direction or the other, opens a compressed air valve 43 or 45,
whereby the lower control chamber 11 of the upper control piston 5 from the main air container 27 is acted upon or vented to the outside via a line 19.
With a continuation of the movement of the lever 41 in the direction of venting the control chamber 11, a compressed air valve 47 also opens, whereby the control chamber 13 of the control piston 5 is connected to the main air tank 27 via the line 21.
The mode of operation is as follows: In the middle position of the lever 41 of an operating stand 39, all compressed air valves 43, 45, 47 are closed. The control chamber 11 of the control piston 5 of the relay valve is pressureless, the mem brane 29 therefore lifts the valve seat 31 from the sealing plate 33 as a result of its inherent tension: and releases the passage of air through the nozzle 35 to the outside air.
So in the control chamber 11, as a result of any leaks, there can be no excess pressures with respect to the outside air. The control chamber 13 of the control piston 5 is acted upon by the pressure regulator 15 and maintains its pressure, in cooperation with the pressure in the control chamber 7 of the control piston 3, the piston and valve system in such a position that the main air line pressure remains at the same level.
If the handle 41 is now moved downwards at a control station 39 according to the drawing and the valve 43 is opened as a result, air flows from the main air reservoir 27 into the control chamber 11 of the control piston 5. Due to the pressure * building up in this space. The valve seat 31 is pressed onto the sealing plate 33 so that the nozzle 35 is closed.
In addition, the pressure regulator pressure located above the piston 5 is partially compensated, so that the main air line pressure has to decrease by this value in order to achieve a new state of equilibrium. The pressure increase in the control chamber 11 continues as long as the hand lever 41 is pressed down.
If this is released, the currently existing pressure remains; if it is moved upwards, the pressure is reduced by venting via the valve 45, which is now open, until the initial state is reached again. This cycle can be interrupted and graduated at will.
With a strong upward movement of the hand lever 41, the upper control chamber 13 of the upper control piston 5 is connected to the main air tank 27 via the valve 47 to generate a filling surge; high pressure air enters this control chamber. After releasing the hand lever and interrupting the feed, the overpressure is throttled by the nozzle 25 and blown by the pressure regulator 15; the filling pressure is reduced at the correct time.
Since it does not matter from which point the control chambers acted upon or vented who the, it is possible to connect any number of control points to the lines 19, 21, 28 and then freely change them.
