Zahnprothese
Denture
The invention relates to a dental prosthesis with a device for the detachable connection of the dental prosthesis body to a bolt-shaped part belonging to a root post or a root crown or intended to be soldered to a root post or a root crown. Such dental prostheses enable the person provided with them, thanks to the fact that the prosthesis body can be removed, better oral care, in particular the cleaning of the joint between the detachable and the non-detachable part of the prosthesis.
However, the known prostheses of this type have the major disadvantage that the removable prosthesis part can move and tilt movements during the chewing process, which results in premature wear of the parts rubbing against each other, an increased risk of breakage and often irritation of the gums.
The invention aims to remedy this situation in that the bolt-shaped part has two cylindrical guide surfaces on one side and the other of a constriction on its half closer to the base and a conical support surface on the other half that is coaxial with the latter and for the constriction, while in the denture body a metallic ring cage is embedded which, in addition to two cylindrical seat surfaces that fit onto the aforementioned guide surfaces, has an annular chamber located between these, in which a toroidal spring ring is arranged with play, which attaches a conical inner surface on the prosthesis body above the ring cage to said conical support surface presses.
The accompanying drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention.
The only figure shows this embodiment in longitudinal section.
The natural residual root of a tooth is designated with 1, and the root post permanently anchored in this residual root with a root cap 3 and consisting of one piece with 2.
A bolt-shaped part 4 is soldered onto the root cap 3, which has two cylindrical guide surfaces 6, 7 on one side and on the other side of a constriction 5 on its half closer to the base and a conical support surface 8 coaxial with the latter and for the constriction on the remaining half. In the dental prosthesis body 9 made of polymerized plastic, a metallic ring cage 10 is embedded which, in addition to two cylindrical seating surfaces 11 and 12 that fit onto the guide surfaces 6, 7, has an annular chamber 13 located between them.
In this a toroidal open spring ring 14 is arranged with play, which thanks to its tendency to close and its resting on the upper conical part of the constriction 5 and on the flat part of the wall of the annular chamber 13 adjacent to the lower seat surface 11 on the ring cage 10 and thus on the The prosthesis body exerts a force directed against the prosthesis base and thereby presses a conical inner surface 15 present on the prosthesis body above the ring cage 10 onto the conical support surface 8 of the bolt-shaped part 4.
The pair of matching, cylindrical surfaces 7, 12, which is located next to the conical surfaces 8, 15, has a slightly smaller diameter than the other pair of matching, cylindrical surfaces 6, 11, so that the surface 11 when receiving and placing the denture body can be pushed past the surface 7 with play.
It is easy to see that in the case of the tooth prosthesis described, the attached tooth prosthesis body cannot perform any transverse, longitudinal or tilting movement.
The production is relatively simple. It is even conceivable, on the occasion of the pressing of the dental prosthesis body 9 in the dental laboratory, to use the bolt-shaped part 4 including the attached ring cage 10 as the core of a casting mold, in the cavity of which the plastic compound is allowed to polymerize.
It is obvious that the base part to be mounted by the dentist on the residual root 1 could be a crown without a root post, and that the bolt-shaped part 4 could consist of one piece with the base part instead of being soldered to it.
