Device for netting yarn
The invention relates to a device for netting yarn that is constantly running towards a yarn processing machine, e.g. B. an autocopser, a spooler, shed, reel, twisting machine or the like.
Netting is to be understood as meaning any moistening of the yarn both with water and with another liquid which can be used for dyeing, waxing, fixing, increasing the tensile strength of the yarn and similar purposes.
Garnbcfeuchtungseinrichtung used so far do not meet the requirements occurring in practical operation. They either have a design that is too complicated and therefore expensive and susceptible to failure, or they do not guarantee a convenient possibility of regulating the degree of moistening for the yarn thread passing through.
In order to avoid the disadvantages of the known yarn moistening devices mentioned, the device according to the invention is characterized by a housing which is to be rigidly attached to the frame of the yarn processing machine, is provided with upwardly open yarn guides and an insertion slot for a continuous yarn yarn and is otherwise closed, in the wall of which is a liquid to be fed , inwardly directed and adjustable spray nozzle equipped with an outwardly reaching connection piece and in the bottom of which a liquid drain is arranged.
An exemplary embodiment of the device according to the invention is shown in the drawing. It shows:
Fig. 1 shows the device partly in section, partly in side view and
Fig. 2 is a partially cut forehead = view of the device.
The device has a drum-like housing which consists of a base 3 to be rigidly attached to the frame of the associated yarn processing machine and a cover 2 to be connected to the base in a liquid-tight manner by tongue and groove. In one end wall 3a of the housing, a spray nozzle 1 is adjustable in its longitudinal direction and is arranged so as to be adjustable with respect to the formation of the spray cone. On the long sides of the housing there are two upwardly open thread guides 4 arranged in the cover part 2, which are connected to one another by a slot 7 reaching over the cover and which are above the central longitudinal axis of the inwardly directed spray nozzle 1.
A yarn thread 8 can be inserted through the slot 7 into the thread guide 4 in any direction without having to open the housing 2, 3, at the bottom of which a liquid drain 6 is provided.
Between the spray nozzle 1 and the thread guides 4 or the thread 8 running through them, an adjustable baffle plate, designated as a whole by 5, is arranged on the end wall 3a. It consists essentially of an umbrella-like curved plate and an arm that supports it and is seated on a pivot shaft 9. The pivot shaft, which is led out of the housing at one end 9a, carries at this end an adjusting lever 10, with the aid of which the baffle plate can be brought into any desired pivot position. A recess 11 in the end wall 3a of the housing allows the baffle plate to be pivoted back so far that it practically does not come into contact with the spray cone emerging from the nozzle 1.
In this position of the baffle plate 5, the yarn thread 8 running through the thread guide 4 is hit directly by the upper part of the spray cone, while the main part of the spray cone hits the other end wall 3b of the housing and thereby generates a liquid mist inside the housing. When the baffle plate is pivoted forwards, the spray cone is first deflected downwards and thereby prevented from impinging directly on the yarn thread 8. If, however, the baffle plate 5 is pivoted further down, the spray cone is, conversely, deflected upwards in the direction of the yarn thread 8.
The connection piece 1 a of the spray nozzle 1 located outside the housing can be connected to any line used for supplying liquid or a controllable liquid-compressed air mixture. A pump can be connected to the outlet connection 6, which is used to circulate the liquid sprayed through the nozzle 1 into the interior of the housing 2, 3, the circulated liquid being expediently forced through a filter connected to the pump line.
The device described for the wet finishing of yarn is of a simple, robust and operationally reliable design and enables convenient and precise regulation of the degree of moistening of the yarn thread passing through. Depending on the flow of liquid and compressed air to the spray nozzle, if the latter is to be connected to two lines each equipped with a shut-off and throttle device, one of which is used to supply a liquid and the other of compressed air, the amount and pressure of the Time unit, the finishing liquid added to the closed housing and thus the degree of moistening of the thread thread passing through can be conveniently and precisely adjusted depending on its speed and condition. Depending on the setting of the nozzle, a very narrow or a strongly conically diverging spray cone is created.
This spray cone primarily strikes that housing wall which is opposite the wall carrying the nozzle. It. This creates a liquid mist inside the closed housing, which ensures that the yarn thread is moistened uniformly on all sides.
In some cases it is advisable to completely or partially prevent the spray cone emerging from the nozzle from impinging directly on the yarn thread. By arranging the spray nozzle a little below the thread guide, this is achieved to a certain extent anyway. By means of the baffle plate, depending on the set position, the thread thread passing through can be more or less protected from the direct impact of the spray cone. However, the spray cone emerging from the nozzle can, if necessary, be deflected straight in the direction of the yarn thread passing through by the correspondingly adjusted baffle plate. With the help of the adjustable baffle plate, any desired type of yarn moistening can be carried out, more or less directly or indirectly, or one of the two.
If the liquid fed to the nozzle tends to foam and a layer of foam forms on the liquid level in the housing, the spray cone emerging from the nozzle prevents this layer of foam from coming into contact with the yarn thread passing through. The liquid draining from the housing can be circulated as often as desired with the aid of a controllable pump, it being expedient to push it through a cleaning filter or the like before being fed back to the spray nozzle.
A particular advantage of the device shown is that it works completely independently of the direction in which the yarn thread runs through the two thread guides. It can accordingly be attached to any of the yarn processing machines mentioned above at a suitable point. In addition, the device can easily be temporarily dismantled again if necessary during repair work or the like on such machines.
The two-part design of the housing makes it possible to arrange one part of the yarn processing machine and to design the removable housing part as a cover or, in the case of a drum-like housing, as an end wall 3b. The housing remains closed during operation and is largely protected against the ingress of dirt and other foreign bodies, but can be easily and conveniently cleaned during a standstill after removing the removable housing part.
Another advantage is that the thread to be moistened can be introduced into the thread guide through the aforementioned insertion slot in any direction without having to open the housing. Likewise, all the aforementioned measures to regulate the yarn moistening according to type and quantity can be carried out individually or in combination without opening the housing by simply adjusting the spray nozzle, the baffle plate and the control elements in its feed lines during operation of the yarn processing machine.
With the same regulation option of the device shown by appropriate setting of the spray nozzle 1, the baffle plate 5 and the aforementioned throttle and shut-off devices in the supply lines for liquid and compressed air to the nozzle 1, any suitable liquid for wet finishing of the thread 8 passing through can be sprayed through these. Accordingly, the spray nozzle 1 can be supplied with pure water for mere moistening of the yarn thread 8, but also with a liquid used for dyeing, waxing, fixing, increasing the tensile strength of the yarn and similar purposes.
