Drive device with step-wise driven ratchet wheel The present invention relates to a drive device with a toothed, step-wise driven ratchet wheel by a reciprocating pawl, wherein the working on the ratchet end of the pawl is guided by a straight edge of a fixed stop which extends at least approximately parallel to that tooth flank of the ratchet over which the ratchet runs back in the holding position of the ratchet.
Such drive devices who are used in large numbers with stepwise moving voters in the control centers for automatic telephony connections.
In a known drive device of this type, the end of the pawl which interacts with the ratchet wheel and the guide surface has the shape of a flat pin of uniform strength. The locking pawl is attached to a leaf spring connected to the armature of an elec tromagnet. The leaf spring allows the pin-shaped end of the pawl to move exactly in a straight line when it returns. The aim is now to create a drive device with a simply designed pawl which can be connected directly to the organ controlling the feed.
According to the invention, the drive device is characterized in that the two edges of the pawl sliding on the tooth flank of the ratchet wheel or on the stop when the pawl returns are circular arcs with a common center of curvature, this being between the tooth flank and the guide edge of the stop lies.
The invention is tert erläu with reference to the drawing, which shows an embodiment of the drive device according to the invention. 1 shows a schematic plan view of a drive device, FIG. 2 shows, on a larger scale, a plan view of part of the ratchet wheel and the end of the pawl of the device according to FIG.
In Fig. 1, 1 denotes the yoke of an electric magnet 2, which is provided with an excitation coil 3. An armature 4 is articulated to one leg of the yoke 1 via a pivot pin 5 and is held away by a spring 6 attached at its other end to a housing part 7 in the de-energized state of the magnet 2 from the other leg of the yoke. The free end of the armature 4 is provided with a pawl 8 which is hingedly connected to it and which is pushed up by a leaf spring 21. The end 9 of this pawl 8 interacts with the teeth 10 of a ratchet wheel 12 seated on an axis of rotation 11 and with a guide surface 13 of a fixed stop 14.
The edge of the pawl end 9 has two circular arcs 15 and 16 which engage in the teeth 10 or slide on the guide surface 13, which surface in the rest position shown is practically parallel to the flat tooth flank 17 of the ratchet wheel 12 (Fig. 2 ). The circular arcs 15 and 16 have a common center point 20.
A rotatable pawl 18, which is pressed against the teeth 10 by a leaf spring 19, also interacts with the teeth 10 of the ratchet wheel 12.
The mode of operation of the device is as follows: in the position shown in FIG. 1, the magnet 2 is not excited. The spring 6 then pulls the armature 4 and the pawl 8 far to the right. If the electromagnet 2 is excited, the armature 4 is attracted against the spring 6 by the yoke 1, the end 9 of the pawl 8 being pulled to the left. The non-return pawl 18 prevents the ratchet wheel 12 from being carried against the direction of rotation indicated by the arrow P be.
The circular edges 15 and 16 of the end 9 of the locking pawl guarantee that the distance between the points of contact on the flat tooth flank 17 and on the guide surface 13 remains constant, even if the locking pawl 8 due to the pivoting of the armature 4 about the pivot pin 5 does not remain parallel to itself when moving against arrow P. This means that the ratchet 12 can rotate in the direction P during the movement of the pawl 8 to the left.
The arrangement of the electric magnet 2 is such that at the end of the pivoting of the armature 4, the pawl 8 with the arch 15 comes to lie behind that tooth 10, one part of which forms the flank 17.
As soon as the pawl end 9 has passed the tooth mentioned, the pawl 8 jumps under the action of the leaf spring 21 attached to the armature 4 into the next tooth gap. If the excitation of the elec tromagnet 2 stops, the armature 4 with the pawl 8 is pulled back to the right by the spring 6, the ratchet wheel 12 rotating in the direction P around the tooth pitch until the rest position is reached again. Since the circular shape of the edges of the end 9 of the pawl 8 allows the pawl to move not only in a straight line during their movement, but also to rotate, you can connect them directly to the anchor and the distance of the hinge pin 5 of the anchor from select small for the pivot point of the pawl.
You can choose the two circular arcs 15 and 16 with the same radius and thus as pieces of the same circle whose center 20 is halfway between the flank 17 and the guide surface 13's. In the example shown, however, the radius of the circular arc 15 is smaller than that of the circular arc 16. This has the advantage that there is less risk of the end 9 jamming against the steep flank of a tooth 10 when the pawl 8 is rotated at the beginning of the return movement becomes.
Preferably, the pawl 8 is made of linea rem super polyamide (nylon). This has the advantage of low wear and tear and smooth running of the device.
