Measuring device with transducer with an openable yoke The invention relates to a measuring device with a transducer with an openable yoke or iron core.
Measuring devices of this type are known. With these measuring devices, the opening or closing of the yoke or its fastening in the closed position on a conductor takes place by pivoting an insulated handle of the device.
These known devices are connected to a display instrument by means of cable lines. Two units are therefore required to carry out measurements, so that both hands of an operator have to be used, which makes handling the measuring device cumbersome. At voltages above 1000 volts, the reliability of the insulation of the cable lines becomes questionable, so that taking measurements can be dangerous.
The invention aims to remedy the above-mentioned difficulties. This is achieved in that the transducer is assembled into a unit with a display instrument, with means for opening and closing the transducer yoke and for fastening the same to a conductor by means of an insulated operating handle.
The housing of the display instrument, e.g. B. an ammeter, designed for such a handle. In contrast to the previously known measuring devices with a pincer-like yoke or iron core, the device according to the invention has the advantage that the housing of the indicating instrument has an isolated, removable handle of any length. In this way, the measuring device can be attached to conductors that are connected to voltages of any desired magnitude, since then both the display instrument and the transducer are located beyond the isolated handle of the unit.
The opening or closing of the yoke or iron core can therefore not only be carried out in a simple manner, but also without danger. Another advantage is that only the handle of existing current transformers needs to be replaced by the housing of the display instrument and the production of this housing requires only one tool.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing, wherein: FIG. 1 shows a front view of the measuring device in the measuring position, FIG. 2 shows a similar view with the yoke or iron core open, and FIG. 3 shows a plan view of FIG.
1 denotes a transducer. The housing of the associated instrument is labeled 2. The housing 2 is connected to an openable yoke or iron core 3. Accordingly, when the housing 2 is pivoted from its position shown in FIG. 1 through a right angle into the open position according to FIGS. 2 and 3, a conductor 4 can be introduced into an opening 5 of the transducer 1. After the housing 2 has been swiveled back by 90, the instrument displays a value that characterizes the current flowing in the conductor 4.
As can be seen from FIG. 1, the housing 2 has an extension 6 with a tapered cross section, the extension 6 being designed as a handle. A rod-shaped member 7 for extending the handle 6 can be connected to this operating handle 6. For this purpose, the connecting part of the rod-shaped member 7 is designed as a sleeve 8, the cavity 9 of which can receive the extension 6 with a snug fit.
The mutual situation

the rod 7 and handle 6 when they engage can be secured by a screw 10 which is mounted in the wall of the sleeve 8. The rod 7 carries a disc-shaped member 11 which serves as a limit stop for the hands of an operator. This prevents, in a manner known per se, from touching parts of the rod 7 with the hands which are already dangerously close to a high-voltage conductor to be tested.
The instrument is expediently provided with switches for current measurement and / or for measuring voltages assigned to different measuring ranges. Special terminals can be provided for the connection of a registering ammeter.
