L'installation décrite permet doncde supprimer l'excitatrice classique.
Installation comprising an alternator and a device for automatic adjustment of its voltage The subject of the invention is an installation comprising an alternator and a device for automatic adjustment of its voltage. This installation allows, for example, to maintain constant the voltage at the terminals of the Alternator whatever the load and the cos 0.
The problem consisting in in adjusting the voltage at the terminals of an alternator by modifying the voltage at the terminals of the inductors, that is to say the intensity of the current & excitation, according to the intensity and the phasing of the current from the alternator, has already received many solutions, in particular solutions based on the use of two Magnetic circuits allowing respectively & applying to the excitation circuit a voltage comprising a component dependent on the load and a component independent of the load.
The installation according to the invention, in which the voltage applied to the circuit & excitation of the alternator comprises a component dependent on the load and a component independent of the load, is characterized in that it comprises, for the 'obtaining said two components, two transformers with rotating fields, the primary of one being connected in shunt and the primary of the other being connected in series to the circuit supplied by the alternator, at least one of the magnetic circuits of each transformer, with its respective windings,
being offset with respect to the corresponding magnetic circuit of the other transformer.
The subject of the invention is also a method for activating this installation, characterized in that the offset of the magnetic circuits of the two transformers and of their windings is adjusted so as to </ B > reduce to a low value, for a determined value of cos 0 of the alternator, the phase shift of the voltage supplied by the secondary of the transformer connected to series with respect to to the voltage supplied by the secondary of the transformer connected in bypass.
U accompanying drawing represents, by by way of example, some embodiments of the installation according to the invention.
Fig. 1 represents the assembly diagram of an installation comprising an alternator and a device for adjusting the voltage of this alternator.
Fig. 2 is a simplified diagram substantially similar to the classic Rothert diagram.
Fig. 3 represents an embodiment in which the secondaries of the transformers are mounted on the axis of the pole wheel with movable fixed primaries.
Fig. 4 represents an installation with to rotating field transformers of the static type. Fig. 5 represents an embodiment with secondaries, mounted on the axis of the pole wheel and offset Pun with respect to to the other.
In fig. 1, the alternator comprises an armature 1 and an inductor 2 (fig. 1). The device for regulating the voltage of the alternator is constituted by two transformers with rotating fields 3 and 4 with independent magnetic circuits.
The primary 4 of one is connected in shunt on the armature 1 and the primary 3 of the other is crossed by the current output of the alternator.
These two primaries are arranged so to can be shifted relative to to each other.
The secondary 5 can be common to the two transformers or be constituted by two elements integral with each other, the windings of which are connected in series. The current produced by this secondary is sent to using a rectifier 6 in inductor 2 of the alternator. The excitation current is rectified by the rectifier 6.
Primary 4 tends to produce at the terminals of the secondary a voltage OA (fig. 2) which corresponds to the to empty excitation.
The primary 3 tends to produce at the terminals of the condaire a voltage AB proportional to the current delivered under load.
The resultant OB of OA and of AB represents the excitation voltage corresponding to a determined load.
The vector AB sweeps a quarter of circle when the cos 0 varies from 0 to 1, if the current supplied by the alternator has an intensity constant.
The choice of this quarter of circle is determined so that the resultant OB varies in the direction defined by the Rothert diagram and gives to each insert the value of the excitation current necessary to keep the voltage of the alternator constant when the intensity and the cos 0 vary.
In the example of FIG. 2, AB represents the vector corresponding to cos 0 = 0.8 and AC the one corresponding to cos 0 = 1, </ B> the intensity of the current delivered by the alternator being constant.
The direction of AB is obtained by the offset of the two primaries of the transformers Pun with respect to to the other, which is chosen so that the vector AB does with the right OD, in the direction of the rotating field, an angle a varying from 151) to 351, depending on the machines.
Automatic regulation of the alternator voltage is therefore obtained as a function of the load and cos 0.
On the other hand, to from the set coin-pound position to keep the tension constant, it is seen that by slightly varying the angle a in addition or in less, you can hypo or hypercompourider the accelerator.
The installation described therefore allows to remove the classic exciter. It is also possible to mount the secondary 5 of the transformers, as well as the rectifier 6 on the pole wheel of the Alternator, which allows you to delete any collector (brushes).
Such a form & execution is shown in FIG. 3, in which the secondaries 5 are mounted on the axis of the pole wheel 2, as well as the rectifier 6, which eliminates any collector. The 3 and 4 primaries are fixed.
The primary mounted in 3 series can be offset in the direction of the rotating field or the primary mounted in bypass 4 can be offset in the reverse direction. It is also possible to simultaneously shift the two primaries in their respective directions.
By shifting the primary mounted in bypass 4 at relatively small angles with respect to at the position compourid in the direction of the rotating field or in the opposite direction , the alternator becomes hyper or hypo-compound.
In the installation with static transformers of in fig. 4, where ron took again the same notations as in fig. 3, the transformers are mounted in a fixed box and separate from the alternator ; the terminals 8 of the rectifier 6 < / B> are connected to terminals 9 of the generator, terminals 9 which can be connected either directly to the rings of the pole wheel, or to the inducers of an exciter, depending on whether the latter is removed or retained, as has been indicated.
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 5, the primary 3 and 4 are mounted fixed, the two secondary 5 and 50 mounted on the shaft of the bearing wheel 2 being in series, but the secondary 50 is mounted on the shaft in such a way to can be offset in rotation compared to secondary 5.
The above mentioned embodiments are the simplest and the most practical. But other assemblies are possible, giving the same results in the de point of view of the vector diagram.
We can cite among these other equivalent slow solutions, but less simple: for example to turn the pruinaires, but this requires multiple rings for the arrival of the current.
It is also possible, in the case of rotating secondaries, to shift the secondaries and finish the adjustment by shifting one of the two primaries.
It is also possible to make an installation comprising a rotating armature alternator: in this case, the secondary 5 is mounted on the fixed part, while the primary 3 and 4 rotate with rinduct.
