Method for maintaining synchronism The invention relates to a method for maintaining synchronism between a master and slave device, in which a pulse generator coupled to the master device and a pulse generator coupled to the slave device via a control circuit controls the motor circuit of the slave device depending on their mutual Affect the difference in position.
With such a method, two devices can be operated synchronously once they are in motion. However, it is important and not yet satisfactorily solved to put the master and slave device into operation in such a way that there is no difference in running between them right from the start. This is e.g. B. of particular importance when a film is to be played with a projector and a corresponding sound with a tape player.
It has already been proposed to always bring the pulse generator of the master device into a certain position after the devices have been switched off and to use this position when the master device starts up to switch on the slave device. However, this requires special activity on the part of the demonstrator at the end of each demonstration, which is easily forgotten. You also need special markings, detents that can be switched off or the like on the synchronizing device, so that this becomes complicated without, however, reliably achieving simultaneous starting.
These disadvantages are avoided according to the invention in that the pulse generator of the master device additionally influences a circuit that contains a means that responds to the voltage values that occur in the circuit with different movement states of the master device pulse generator, and one in the motor circuit of the Switch located on the slave device opens or closes. In a particularly advantageous manner, the process is carried out according to the invention with a device which switches the motor circuit of the slave device, and in which the circuit is connected to a power source independent of the switching state of the slave device motor circuit.
Embodiments of the invention are shown in the drawing by circuit diagrams. 1 shows an embodiment with pulse generators connected in parallel, FIG. 2 shows an embodiment with pulse generators connected in series, FIG. 3 shows a modification of FIG. 2 with separate circuit contacts, FIG. 4 shows a corresponding modification of FIG. 1, FIG. 5 shows an embodiment with several lines between the pulse generators,
FIG. 6 shows a modification of the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 5 with separate circuit contacts.
In the embodiment of FIG. 1. Is a motor 1 of a slave device on the one hand via a switch 2, on the other hand via an inductive counter stand 3 with the two poles of an alternating current source 4 connected.
A pulse generator 5 is coupled to the motor 1. He has the same speed as the motor umlau Fende sliding track 6 with a contact surface 7; a stationary contact 8 slides on this sliding track.
A motor 9 of a control unit is coupled to a pulse generator 10, which is constructed like the pulse generator 5, that is to say has a sliding track 11 with a contact surface 12 to which a stationary contact 13 is assigned. The contact surface 7 is constantly connected to the contact surface 12 and also to a pole of a direct current source 15 via a resistor 14. From the other pole of this current source, a line 16 leads via a coil 17 which inductively influences the resistor 3 to a connection point 18 which is connected to the contacts 8 and 13. These elements connecting the pulse generators 5 and 10 represent the control circuit of the synchronizing device.
In the connection 19 between the connection point 18 and the contact 13, a primary winding 20 of a transformer is connected; its secondary winding 21 is in a circuit with a rectifier 22 and a relay 23 that influences the switch 2. A capacitor 24 is connected in parallel with the relay 23.
If the devices are to be put into operation to carry out the method, the power sources 4 and 15 are first supplied with voltage, but the switch 2 remains open. If you now close the circuit, not shown, of the motor 9, the control unit starts moving. This can e.g. B. be a tape player while the result is a film projector. As soon as the pulse generator 10 rotates, an interrupted direct current arises in the connection 19, which emanates from the direct current source 15 and the frequency of which depends on the rotational speed of the contact surface 12.
This interrupted direct current flowing through the primary winding 20 induces a current in the secondary winding 21, which is rectified by the rectifier 22 and fed to the relay 23. This closes switch 2, so that motor 1 receives voltage and starts up.
The relay remains energized and the switch is closed as long as current of varying strength flows in connection 19. This is the case as long as the devices are in operation and the synchronizing device is working; only when the motor 9 is switched off does the current change stop and the relay 23 opens the switch 2 again. Depending on the position of the pulse generator 10, a direct current can flow in the connection 19 until the devices finally switched off, that is, the power sources 4 and 15 are without voltage. This direct current does not affect the relay 23.
The method for maintaining synchronism is as follows: The current flowing through the connection 19 and the coil 17 depends in its strength on the position of the contact surfaces 7 and 12 of the pulse generator 5 and 10 zuein other. If both close the connection to the contacts 8 and 13 at the same time, the line branches with the resistor 14 and the primary winding 20 are connected in parallel and the current is comparatively large. The inductive resistance 3 is therefore reduced in size by the inductive influence from the coil 17, and the motor 1 runs faster.
If the connections via the contacts 8 and 13 are just alternately interrupted, the current flowing through the coil 17 is relatively small, the inductive resistance is high and the motor 1 runs more slowly. The resistor 3 is dimensioned such that the speeds of the motor 1 in the mentioned borderline cases are respectively above or below the desired synchronous speed. The pulse generators 5 and 10 move accordingly in each case deviations in speed and thereby regulate the motor 1 for precise synchronization.
In the embodiment according to FIG. B. Ohmic resistors 32 and 33 are connected to an AC power source 34. With the motor 30, a pulse generator 35 is coupled. A motor 36 of a master device is coupled to a pulse generator 37. The pulse generators 35 and 37 are constructed the same as the pulse generators 5 and 10 in Fig. 1. Their contact surfaces 38 and 39 are constantly connected to each other by a line 40, as are their contacts 41 and 42 via a line 43. In the latter Line are a relay 44 and a direct current source 45 switched on.
The piece of line 43 between the relay 44 and the direct current source 45 is connected to the line 40 via a primary winding 46 of a transformer. A secondary winding 47 of the carrier is located in a switching circuit which contains a rectifier 48, a relay 49 influencing the switch 31 and a capacitor 50 connected in parallel with it.
When the devices are at a standstill, but the slave device is ready to work, the circuit of the motor 30 is connected to the power source 34, but the switch 31 is open. If the motor 36 of the control unit is set in motion by switching on its circuit, there is an interrupted direct current in the primary winding 46 because of the periodically interrupted connection between the contact surface 39 and the contact 42. This induces a current in the secondary winding 47, which is rectified by the rectifier 48 and the relay 49 energized. This closes the switch 31 so that the motor 30 starts up.
During the run that now follows, a current flows in lines 40 and 43 of the control circuit as long as contacts 41 and 42 simultaneously touch the contact surfaces assigned to them. When the current flows, the relay 44 responds and short-circuits the resistor 32 via a switch 51. The motor 30 therefore runs faster. Similar to the example according to FIG. 1, the resistors 32 and 33 are dimensioned such that the motor 30 runs more slowly than would correspond to synchronism if both resistors are connected upstream, but faster if the resistor 32 is short-circuited. The pulse generators 35 and 37 cause the motor 30 to play at the correct speed. The relay 49 remains attracted during the entire regulation and only opens the switch again when the control unit is shut down.
The direct current sources 15 and 45, which are used in the exemplary embodiments according to FIGS. 1 and 2, are expediently automatically switched on simultaneously with the motor circuit of the slave device or derived from its power source.
In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 3, a motor 55 of a slave device is connected to an alternating current source 58 via a switch 56 on the one hand, and via a resistor 57 of any type on the other. A pulse generator 59, which has a circumferential contact surface 60 and a stationary contact 61, is coupled to the motor 55. A pulse generator 62 of a control device has a contact surface 63 and a contact 64 corresponding to the contact 61, but also has fixed contacts 65 and 66 which are opposite one another.
The contact 61 is connected to one side of the resistor 57 via a line 67, and the contact 64 is connected to the other side of the resistor 57 via a line 68. A line 69 connects the two contact surfaces 60 and 63. These lines together with the pulse generators form a control circuit. Depending on the mutual position of the two contact surfaces, this circuit is interrupted or closed, so that the resistor 57 is placed in front of the motor or is short-circuited.
The contacts 65 and 66 are each connected to one end of a primary winding 70 of a transformer. The center 71 of this winding is connected to one pole of a direct current source 72, the other pole of which is connected to the contact surface 63. A secondary winding 73 of the transformer is in a circuit with a rectifier 74 and a relay 75 which influences the switch 56 and to which a capacitor 76 is connected in parallel.
When the equipment is stationary but ready for operation, the circuit of the motor 55 is connected to the power source 58 and the switch 56 is open. When the master device starts moving, i.e. the contact surface 63 is rotated, a direct current from the power source 72 flows alternately in the opposite direction through the two halves of the primary winding 70. This induces a current in the secondary winding 73 that causes the Relay 75 can respond. As a result, the switch 56 closes and the motor 55 starts. The current in the switching circuit of the relay 75 is independent of the current of the control circuit and flows as long as the pulse generator 62 is rotating.
The pulse generators act during which, similar to what was described for FIGS. 1 and 2, the synchronization between the two devices by alternately connecting and short-circuiting the resistor 57.
In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 4, a slave motor 80 is connected to an alternating current source 84 on the one hand via a resistor 81 and on the other hand via two switches 82 and 83. A contact 85 and 86 of a slave device pulse generator 87 and a master device pulse generator 88 are connected to one side of the resistor 81. The pulse generators are designed as in the examples described above; their contact surfaces 89 and 90 are continuously connected to one another by a line 91.
From this a line 92 leads to the end of the resistor 81 not connected to the contacts. The above means together form a control circuit which, depending on the mutual position of the two pulse generators, switches or short-circuits the resistor 81 in front of the motor 80 and thereby synchronizes Master and slave device causes.
An independently operating circuit is based on a direct current source 93 which is also connected to the contact surface 90 at one pole. Its other pole is connected to a connection point 94, from which two lines 95 and 96 each lead via a delayed releasing relay 97 and 98 and a resistor 99 and 100 each to a contact 101 and 102, which is also assigned to the contact surface 90 is. Each of the relays 97, 98 influences one of the switches 82, 83. A capacitor 103, 104 is connected in parallel with each relay.
When the pulse generator 88 rotates, a direct current flows alternately via one of the .Kontakte 101 or 102 and alternately energizes one of the relays 97 or 98. The respectively energized closes the switch 83 or 82 assigned to it. Since, however, both relays drop out with a delay the excitation changes with a frequency corresponding to the speed of the pulse generator 88, the switches 82 and 83 remain closed as long as the pulse generator 88 is rotating. You therefore switch on the motor 80 when the pulse generator 88 is started together with the master device. If the pulse generator stops, one of the relays drops out, its switch opens and the motor 80 no longer receives any current.
In the exemplary embodiments according to FIGS. 1 to 4, the contact surfaces are arranged in the same number for both pulse generators, since both pulse generators rotate at the same speed. A contact surface takes up half the circumference of the sliding track.
A device deviating from this for a corresponding method is shown in FIG. 5 ben reproduced. A motor 110 is connected to an alternating current source 114 on the one hand via an inductive resistor 111 and on the other hand via two switches 112 and 113. The pulse generator 115 coupled to the motor has an almost semicircular sliding path 116, which is constantly connected to a connection point 118, and two opposing fixed contacts 119 and 120. Both contacts are connected to corresponding contacts 123, 124 via lines 121, 122 a master device pulse generator 125 is connected.
This pulse generator has four contact surfaces 127 connected to one another and to one pole of a direct current source 126, which are arranged symmetrically with equally large spaces on a sliding path 128 of the pulse generator. The other pole of the current source 126 is connected to a connection point 129, from which a line 130 leads to the connection point 118 via a coil 131 which influences the resistor 111. The means described represent a control circuit. The speeds of the pulse generators behave like 2 to 4 when their associated devices are in synchronization.
One pole of the current source 126 is alternately connected to one of the lines 121, 122; Depending on the position of the contact surface 116, the circuit is closed or remains open, so that the coil 131 influences the resistance 111 and thus the speed of the motor 110 in varying degrees.
From the connection point 129, a line 132 leads to a connection point 133, which is connected by lines 134 and 135 to one of the lines 121, 122 each via a relay 136, 137 that drops off with a delay and a resistor 138, 139. Kon capacitors 140 and 141 are connected in parallel with the relays 136, 137. The relays influence the switches 112, 113.
As soon as the pulse generator 125 rotates, one of the lines 121 and 122 is energized alternately. Current therefore flows alternately through one of the relays 136, 137, and the switches 112 and 113 are closed by the relays, so that the motor 110 runs. This state remains until the master device is shut down again.
In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 6, a motor accommodated in a film projector 150 is denoted by 151, and a pulse generator coupled to it is denoted by 152. The motor 151 is connected on the one hand via a resistor 153, on the other hand via a switch 155 housed in a control unit 154 to Buch sen 156, 157, which in turn receive voltage from an alternating current source. The pulse generator 152 has two approximately semicircular contact surfaces 158, 159 and two opposing contacts 160, 161 sliding on these opposite one another.
The contact surfaces are constantly connected to a connection point 164 via a centrifugal switch 162, 163, which is in the line between the motor 151 and the resistor 153.
The master device 154 can be built into or attached to a magnetic sound device. A pulse generator 165 located in the master device is driven from the tape of the magnetic sound device. It has a semicircular contact surface 166 and two opposing contacts 167, 168 which are each connected to one of the contacts 160, 161 via a line 169, 170. A pushbutton switch 171, 172, which is closed in the rest position, is switched on in each of the lines. The contact surface 166 is connected to a connection point 173 ; From this, a line 174 leads to the connection point 164 and a line 175 to the line piece between the resistor 153 and the socket 157.
A push-button switch 176, which is open at rest, is inserted into the line 174.
The parts described above establish synchronization between the two devices. If the push-button switches are in the rest position shown, the pulse generators 152, 165 bridge the resistor 153, depending on their mutual position, or allow the motor current to flow through this counterpart. In one case, the motor 151 runs a little faster, in the other a little slower than it corresponds to the synchronous speed.
The centrifugal switches 162 and 163 are closed at low speeds, that is, during the engine start-up, so that regardless of the mutual position of the pulse generator, the resistance 153 is constantly bridged. The centrifugal switch 162 opens shortly below the synchronous speed, so that the pulse generators each work with a contact surface, as was described for the exemplary embodiments according to FIGS. 1 to 4. If the constant speed is exceeded by a certain amount, the centrifugal switch 163 opens, so that the resistor 153 remains connected upstream regardless of the mutual position of the pulse generator.
The centrifugal switches thus support the rapid reaching and maintenance of a speed range within which the pulse generators then take over the precise synchronization control.
Within this range, the slave device can be accelerated or decelerated using the pushbuttons. If you close the pushbutton button 176, the resistor 153 is bridged regardless of the pulse generators. If you open the pushbutton switches 171 and 173, bridging is not possible.
The contact area 166 is assigned two further contacts 177, 178 located opposite one another. They are connected to one another via the primary winding 179 of a transformer. Whose secondary winding 180 is in a circuit with a rectifier 181 and a relay 182, which affects the switch 155. A capacitor 183 is located in parallel with the relay 182.
The center 184 of the primary winding 179 is connected by a line 185 via a rectifier 186 to the center 187 of a coil 188, one end of which is connected to the socket 156 and the other end via the connection point 173 and the line 175 to the socket 157. A capacitor 189 is connected between the line 185 and the connection point 173.
When the devices shown are ready to work, the sockets 156, 157 lead alternating voltage. The switch 155 is still open and the motor 151 is at a standstill. A current rectified with the aid of the rectifier 186 flows through the line 185, part of the primary winding 179 and one of the contacts 177, 178 to the connection point 173. Since the current is sufficiently smoothed, no voltage is induced in the secondary winding 180.
When the pulse generator 165 rotates, this current flows in rapid succession and in alternating directions through the two halves of the primary winding 179. This induces a voltage in the secondary winding 180, and a current flows through the relay 182. This therefore closes At the same moment the switch 155 and the motor 151 of the slave device starts up. The current flows through the relay 182 as long as the pulse generator 165 is rotating. If it stops, the motor 151 is also switched off again.
According to the method described and with the device mentioned, the devices mentioned can therefore always be switched on automatically with one another in the same manner and can also be operated continuously in synchronism.
In the two exemplary embodiments, an alternating current source was always assumed as the current source for the following device motor. If direct current is available for this purpose, a direct voltage for the control or switching circuit can be derived directly from this direct current source.
