Spout on a bottle
Various bottle spouts are known which, because their outflow channel is wholly or at least to a large extent outside the bottle, protrude relatively strongly upwards from the edge of the bottle neck and therefore have the disadvantage that they are easy to pack and transport when the bottles are being packaged can be damaged and sometimes also cause difficulties in the automatic filling of the bottles.
The invention aims to avoid this disadvantage and relates to a spout on a bottle, which is characterized in that the outflow channel and an air inlet channel are each formed by a cavity of a pin inserted removably into the bottle neck and the outflow channel wall with its outlet end opposite the edge of the The bottle neck protrudes upwards by an amount which is at most 500/0 of the clear width of the bottle neck. Two examples of the subject matter of the invention are described below with reference to the drawing. Show it:
1 shows a plug-in spout closed by means of a cover in vertical section,
FIG. 1 shows a plan view of the same with the cover largely broken away and FIG
3 shows a screw-on spout closed by means of a cover, in vertical section.
In the figures, 1 denotes a bottle neck into which a pin 2 is inserted. In this peg there are two hollow spaces that extend through it and are separate from one another, of which one directly forms an outflow channel 3 and the other directly forms a channel 4 for the air inlet for the purpose of pressure equalization. The channel 3 has a sickle-shaped cross section. Most of the channel 3 lies within the bottle neck; only the part of the channel wall which forms the outlet end of this channel projects upwards from the front edge of the bottle neck, namely by an amount h which should be at most 50 / o of the clear width d of the bottle neck. The aforementioned protruding part is cut off at an angle on its free end face and thus forms what is known as an exit nozzle 5.
From the upper end of the pin, an annular part 6 extends laterally outwards, which covers the aforementioned front edge and has an annular bead 7 on its upper side, which runs around the snout 5 and together with this forms a channel 8, the liquid dripping off the snout can collect, which can then drain through the channel 4 through into the bottle. The annular bead is gripped from below by the edge of a lid 9, which closes the pouring spout tightly to the outside and is to be removed for the purpose of using the pouring spout. The bead and the lid edge are elastically resilient, so that they are held tightly together by their inherent elasticity and the edge of the lid can snap under the bead when it is placed on the pouring spigot. To make it easier to pull off and reattach the cover, it is provided with a handle 9 '.
The lid runs directly over the highest point of the spout 5, and the height of the part of the spout protruding upwards over the bottle neck is not undesirably increased.
In the example according to FIGS. 1 and 2, the elastically deformable pin 2 is provided on the outer circumference with a number of annular ribs 10, which form sealing strips, of which, depending on the deviation of the clearance d from a target value, a more or less large number close to the Inside of the bottle neck. The assembly of the pouring spout on the bottle requires only the insertion of the same into the bottle neck. In the case of the spout according to FIG. 3, the tight seal between the spout and the bottle neck is achieved by means of a conical seat 11 on the mouth edge of the bottle neck. From this seat down, the pin has lateral play with respect to the inside of the bottle neck.
The pouring spigot is screwed onto the upper end of the bottle neck, which is provided with an external thread for this purpose, onto which the jacket-shaped part 12 is screwed by means of an internal thread. This part 12 protrudes downward from the outer edge of the part 16 and consists of one piece with this part and the pin 2.
Both spouts consist of two pieces, namely the pouring spout and the lid, and these two pieces consist e.g. B. made of thermoplastic plastic, z. B. polyethylene.
