Coupling device on a wire rope end provided with a conical head for anchoring and connecting wire ropes For anchoring and connecting the ends of wire ropes, numerous devices are known, for example compression, notch, welding and soldering sleeves, conical sleeves with wedges, etc. and finally devices in which the end of the rope is held by a conical head cast onto the rope. Such devices consist of a body provided with a conical bore, which carries the necessary fastening elements such as tabs, hooks, rings or eyes.
The end of the rope to be strengthened is inserted through the tapered hole, and the head is poured with known means. The conical sleeve itself can be used as a casting mold, or a separate mold is used. If the conical head was manufactured in such a way that it does not adhere to the inside of the sleeve, it can be pressed into the sleeve and clamped therein by means of suitable devices which engage the face of the cone head.
In all cases, such attachment is not solvable with a multiple means. To separate the rope from the sleeve, either the tapered head has to be cut off or destroyed with mechanical, possibly thermal or chemical means. To re-establish the connection, a new tapered head must be attached.
In accordance with the invention, the disadvantages described are to be eliminated by the fact that a coupling device on a wire rope end provided with a tapered head for the purpose of anchoring and connection, a sleeve which allows the tapered head to be pushed through unimpeded, and a longitudinally divided, at least two-part one Lining with a conical borehole adapted to the conical head, the lining being supported on the sleeve and thus transmitting the tensile force acting on the rope to this sleeve. Two exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown in the drawing.
Fig. 1 shows an embodiment of a rope anchorage, and Fig. 2 shows an embodiment of a Seilver connection.
The end of the rope 1 has a cone head 2 that can be pushed through the empty sleeve 3. The lining 4 is divided in the longitudinal direction and at least in two parts. It rests on the inside of the cone head 2 and is inserted into the sleeve 3, in which it is present at the narrowed right end of the sleeve 3. The closure 5 is provided with a fastening ring 6 and is screwed into the left end of the sleeve 3. An insert 7 braces the cone head 2 in the chuck 4 and brings the latter to lie snugly on the end of the sleeve 3 inserted until the cone head protrudes completely from the sleeve 3 on the left.
Now the two-part chuck 4 is placed on the cone head 2 and the sleeve 3 is pushed over the chuck 4 until the latter is at the narrowed right-hand end of the sleeve 3. Now the closure 5 together with the insert 7 is screwed into the left end of the sleeve 3, the cone head 2 being braced in the chuck 4 by the piece 7. In the reverse order, the rope 1 can be solved at any time without destroying the head 2 of the sleeve 3 who the.
The cable connection according to FIG. 2 is assembled in the same way, with the difference that instead of the closure 5 a common nut 8 is used for both sleeves 3, generally with right-hand thread on one side and left-hand thread on the other. Both rope ends 1 to be connected each have a cone head 2 which is held in place in the sleeve 3 by means of a two-part chuck 4. The insert 7 could be executed on both sides who and then based on the end faces of both cone heads. However, if an electrically conductive connection between the two ropes is sought, the shape shown in FIG. 2 with 9 is shown.
It thus consists of a sleeve 9 open on both sides with a separating transverse wall and is intended to accommodate the rope ends protruding from the end faces of the cone heads. Between the end faces of the ropes and the transverse wall of the sleeve, electrically conductive elastic intermediate layers 10 are provided so that the electrically conductive connection is maintained even when the distance between the end faces of the ropes 1 changes.
The conical heads 2 can consist of an elec trically insulating material, so that the Hül sen 3 from the cables 1 remain electrically isolated.
