Device for the adjustable connection of the polygonal end of a shaft with an equiaxed rotary handle The invention relates to a device for the adjustable connection of the polygonal end of a shaft with an equiaxed rotary handle and is particularly important in connection with electrical rotary switches , in which case the shaft of the switch carries the rotary handle.
It is known to mount rotary handles of electrical switches and other devices on their cylindrical or with a conical end executed shaft so that between the hollow conical ausgenom Menen rotary handle and the shaft, a slotted wedge body with a conical outer surface acts, which by means of a centrally located screw between the rotary handle and the shaft end is pressed so that a non-rotatable connection between the handle and the shaft is achieved.
The size of the torque that can be borne with such a handle depends on the friction conditions, i.e. essentially on the pressure that is effective between the inner cone of the handle and the wedge body on the one hand and between this and the shaft end on the other. In order to ensure safe driving of the device shaft against the normally occurring counter torques, this pressure must be considerable and accordingly the cone must be pulled into the handle with great force. The handle, which is usually made of synthetic resin, must therefore be very robust.
There is also a handle fastener has become known in which the shaft end has an edge profile and accordingly the surfaces of the wedge body that interact with it are flat; however, in this embodiment, the surfaces acting between the wedge body and the handle are also flat. In this case, the safe driving of the shaft end of the electrical device is guaranteed even with moderate tightening of the wedge body, but, unlike wedge bodies with an outer cone, the handle can only be in a few relative positions on the end, determined by the number of side surfaces of the profile be fixed.
A disadvantage of all types of fastening that have become known is that the risk of unintentional loosening cannot be completely ruled out with simple means. Experience has shown that even with relatively firm tightening of the wedge body, which is limited by the limited strength of the handles, which are usually made of insulating material, it cannot be achieved with certainty that the handle will still sit firmly on the shaft end after long operation. If this loosening has occurred, the handle, if it is designed in accordance with the first-mentioned design, does not take the shaft end with it; In addition, and this also applies if he follows the second-mentioned construction method, in which he still takes the shaft end with him despite the loosening that has occurred, he can fall off completely.
The device according to the invention avoids the disadvantages of the known types of fastening and retains its advantages. In addition, it ensures that the twist grip is permanently secure on the shaft end even under unfavorable conditions, namely with constant exposure to vibrations or shocks, i.e. under conditions under which the simple devices designed according to the above information have not been used so far could.
Based on the device mentioned above, the invention consists in the fact that the wedge body has a greater elasticity and deformability than the parts resting on it in the radial direction and that it has a conical outer surface. The outer surface of the wedge body expediently has at least one holding projection and the inner surface of the handle, which interacts with the outer surface of the wedge body, has several recesses, the holding projection of the wedge body fitting into each of these recesses.
Two exemplary embodiments of the invention are shown in the drawing. 1 and 2 show a rotary handle for .ein electrical switch with a wedge body drawn into the handle and FIGS. 3 and 4 show such a rotary handle with a wedge body pressed into it. FIGS. 2 and 4 are sections along lines II-11 and IV-IV of FIGS. 1 and 3, respectively.
The axis of rotation of an electrical switching device is denoted by 1, it ends in a square 2 and can also consist of one piece with this. The rotary handle 3 has in its interior a ko African cavity 4, in which a from Superpoly amide or a mechanically similar Lich behaving substance existing coaxial wedge body 5 of the same external taper between the rotary handle 3 and the square 2 is clamped and by means of a screw 6 mounted in the handle 3 is axially displaceable. For this purpose, the wedge body 5 carries an internally threaded bushing 7, but the thread can also be cut directly into the wedge body 5.
On the wedge body 5, four lugs are formed through slots 8, each of which lies against one side of the square 2. By pulling the screw 6, the wedge body 5, which has greater elasticity and deformability than the parts resting on it in the radial direction, namely the rotary handle 3 and the square 2, against the square 2 and against the handle 3 is pressed ge , whereby these two parts are firmly coupled to each other in rotation.
The great deformability of the wedge body 5, in combination with the favorable friction values of the plastic material, not only ensures a permanent rattle-free seat of the rotary handle 3 on the square 2, but also allows the transmission of considerable torques without the need for the wedge body 5 to pull unreasonably into the handle 3; as a result, there is no critical stress on the handle 3.
However, if you want to increase the transmittable torque without having to accept extreme axial forces, the outer surface of the wedge body 5 can be provided with at least one rib-like retaining projection 9 and the inner surface 4 of the rotary handle 3 with several corresponding recesses 10 (or vice versa) in which the projections 9 fit. The number of recesses 10, that is, their division, determines the number of possible relative positions between the rotary handle 3 and the square 2.
In the embodiment of Figures 3 and 4, the wedge body is designated by 12; it is pressed by a nut 13, which sits in an internal thread 14 of the rotary handle 3, down with its conical outer surface against the inner surface 4 of the rotary handle 3 and against the side surfaces of the square 2 lying coaxially to the rotary handle 3. From a top cap 14 is used to close the hollow space 15 in which the nut 13 is arranged. It can be expedient to let the nut 13 act on the latter via a washer (not shown) resting on the wedge body 12. The wedge body 12 again has projections 9 which fit into appropriately profiled grooves 10 of the rotary handle 3 (or vice versa).
The profile of the Keilkör pers 12 shows FIG. 4; one can see the slots 16, which in this case do not expediently go through because this would lead to the formation of several independent wedge bodies, which is inconvenient; Rather, you can leave easily deformable webs 17, which ensure the cohesion of the individual part wedge body. Here too, the wedge body 12 has greater elasticity and deformability than the parts 2 and 3.
The present device allows not only the axial distance of the handle 3 with respect to the square 2 or with respect to the cover plate 18 (Figure 3) to choose with leeway, but also creates a secure, somewhat elastic, permanently klap perfrei attachment that Allowing large torques to be transmitted without placing excessive strain on the handle 3 itself. Unintentional loosening of the handle 3, which is favored by occurring vibrations, is not to be feared because of the elasticity of the wedge body 5 or 12.
