Night storage heaters with adjustable heat output In night storage heaters, it is known that the cheaper electrical energy at night is converted into heat and stored in a heat storage material, e.g.
B. made of magnesite stored. Since the heat transfer from the heat storage material to the room to be heated should only take place while the room is being used, the heat storage material is stripped to prevent undesired heat radiation to the outside. It is known in the case of the known night-time storage stoves with controllable heat output to form chimney-like shafts in the heat storage material which can be closed by flaps or slides. If you open the flaps or slides to a greater or lesser extent, a more or less strong thermal lift occurs in the chimney-like shaft, which draws the room air through the chimney-like shaft and heats it.
This regulation of the thermal buoyancy by adjusting the flaps does not allow any fine adjustment and above all does not allow the heat output of the furnace to be adapted to a cold snap. Every flap control is also perceived as annoying, especially since the latter never close tightly, the control is often forgotten, and the furnace then gave off its heat at the undesired time.
Night storage heaters with forced air flow generated by a fan are also known. Here, the structural design has so far not been so successful that perfect and even heat discharge of the storage stones is guaranteed.
The invention has set itself the task of enabling a regulation of the heat output of night storage heaters which can be adapted to all occurring conditions and of adapting the heat output of night storage heaters to the desired room temperature and also to ensure the even discharge of the storage stones.
The invention relates to a night storage heater with controllable heat output and with a forced air flow generated by a fan to discharge the storage stones and consists in the fact that the storage mass has one or more shafts closed at the top and the latter are formed into inverted U-shaped air ducts by a built-in partition through which the air is sucked or pushed through with the help of the fan. A preferred embodiment is characterized in that
that the air inlet and air outlet openings of the air ducts, which are open on both sides and free of control devices such as flaps or slides, are arranged essentially at the same height and that several air ducts open into and / or out of a common antechamber and the fan is arranged in this that pushes or sucks the air through several channels at the same time. In this way, any undesirable chimney effect and the resulting unregulated heat emission is prevented.
However, branches leading to the outside from the stove can also be attached to the channels, which can be closed by slides or flaps and which, through openings in the latter, allow the creation of a chimney effect, as in known stoves. In general, however, there will be no such slide and the discharge of the accumulator will be effected solely by setting the fan.
In the case of the night storage heaters according to the invention, if desired, an automatic control device for the fan output by the room temperature, e.g. B. provided by contactors connected to thermometers. You can also arrange radiators, such as electrical heating wire coils, in the channels, if necessary through

direct heating to be able to increase the heat output of the furnace on particularly cold days, with these radiators advantageously being connectable to daytime conductors.
The advantages achieved by the invention consist primarily in the controllability of the heat output of night storage heaters, independent of thermal air movement, and the possibility of operating the latter in such a way that they enable a certain room temperature to be maintained even in the event of a sudden cold snap or are able to store their heat Providing heat to the room in a short time as required. The shafts can be distributed in the storage mass in such a way that their even discharge is ensured. It is advantageous to operate the fan with extremely low power, especially since the ducts, which do not act like a chimney, can have a fluidically favorable design.
In the following an embodiment of the invention is explained with reference to the drawing; It shows: FIG. 1 a longitudinal section through a night storage heater, FIG. 2 a cross section through the object according to FIG. 1 in the region of an air duct, FIG. 3 a section through the object according to FIG. 1 in the direction of the line A-B and FIG 4 shows a section through the object of FIG. 1 in the direction of the line C-D.
The night storage furnace 1 shown in the figures carries a heat storage material 2 under an outer jacket 10, which z. B. may consist of magnesite and can be heated by electrical resistance devices 9. A separate insulating layer 3 is also provided as an intermediate layer between the outer jacket 10 and the heat storage material 2. The heat storage material 2 heats several channels 4 lying next to one another in the oven and separated from one another by storage material 2a, inversely U-shaped channels 4 which have a common channel inlet 5 and a common outlet 6 out of the furnace.
The air inlet openings and the air outlet openings of the channels, which are open on both sides and free of slides and flaps, are arranged essentially at the same height. In the duct inlet 5 there is a fan 7 which sucks in room air which is heated in the duct system 4 and which pushes this air out of the furnace. The formation of the inverted U-shape of the channel 4 is done by a partition 8 (z. B. made of sheet metal or the like). The fan can also suck the warm air out of the oven.
