Electrical heat storage stoves for space heating by means of the air heated in them are known in various designs. It is known, for example, to use block storage units made up of heat storage stones which are provided with air ducts through which the room air to be heated is guided by means of a fan for the purpose of discharging the storage unit. To regulate the temperature of the heated air to a value below the storage core temperature that can be used for use, it is known to provide a so-called bypass, by means of which fresh air can be added to the heated air before it leaves the furnace, which is done in a mixing chamber or a Mixing channel happens.
All of the air conveyed by the fan is divided into two flows depending on the setting of the control flaps in the storage air duct or in the bypass, so that the air throughput of the storage block can be changed in this way.
Block storage units with horizontal air ducts and heating elements located therein are also known per se, the horizontal air ducts opening into vertical collecting ducts which are located on the sides of the storage block and are connected to a fan. A system of this type, which is intended for central heating, is shown in German Offenlegungsschrift 1911404. Here, a heat exchanger is arranged in the air flow of the fan. The fan is located on the side under the storage block. Finally, it is known per se to regulate the energy supply and the discharge of the storage unit automatically so that changing requirements, which are given by the weather and the heat demand of the consumer, can be met.
In this case, the charging is controlled in a known manner by an outside temperature sensor and the residual heat of the storage tank is also taken into account by postponing the start of charging.
The invention combines a number of known features that have not been combined up to now and, through additional measures, creates a new and advantageous design of an electric heat storage furnace, which stands out over the known designs through the simplicity and closedness of the structure and the easy assembly of the entire furnace , whereby it also combines great operational reliability with very good controllability and adaptability to different operating conditions.
Accordingly, the invention relates to an electric heat storage furnace with a block storage system made up of heat storage stones, in the horizontal air ducts of which heating elements are provided and which air ducts open into vertical collecting ducts, a fan being provided for forced ventilation of the air ducts and the regulation of the temperature of the heated air taken from the storage unit takes place by means of a bypass controllable by a regulating flap and is characterized by the fact that the storage block has a vertical air supply duct in its center, from which all horizontal heated ducts emanate and which is connected to the fan,
wherein the horizontal air ducts open in a known manner into vertical air collecting ducts located on the storage sides and that symmetrically to the central vertical air duct on the underside of the block storage at least two horizontal bypasses are arranged, which also open into the lateral vertical air collecting ducts.
In a further embodiment of the invention, a plate carrying the storage block is provided, which forms the lower wall of one or more bypasses and which is penetrated by the connection of the central vertical air supply duct with the fan, the support plate resting on a support frame, preferably made of profile iron.
Further details of the invention are explained in more detail below in connection with an exemplary embodiment with reference to the drawings. The drawings, which are limited to the essentials of the invention and are simplified representations, show in FIG. 1 a longitudinal section in a vertical plane and in FIG. 2 a vertical cross section of a furnace according to the invention.
Here - l - mean the side parts of the furnace housing made of sheet metal, --1 '- the removable cover plate, --2-- the thermal insulation located between the housing and storage block, - 3, 4 and 6 storage stones, e.g. B. made of magnesite, from which the block storage is built and which form horizontal air channels --5--, which are in rows one above the other and open into vertical air collection channels - 7, 7 '- and into an air supply channel located in the middle-- 7 "-. This air supply channel - 7" - is connected via a pipe socket - 11 - with control flap - 10 - to the connection pipe - 17 - of the blower - 16 -.
The vertical air collecting ducts - 7, 7 '- and the vertical air supply duct - 7 "- occupy the entire width of the storage block in this embodiment. In the horizontal air ducts there are tubular heating elements - 5 - which are U-shaped and to the right in the direction of the connection box --21-- are removable.
The vertical side air collection channels - 7, 7 '- are closed at the top with blinds or the like - 19, which are adjustable and are kept closed when the memory is loaded. On the underside of the storage block there are two bypasses designed as double channels - 8, 8 '- which are symmetrical to the vertical center plane of the storage. The lower wall of these bypasses is formed by the support plate --15--, the upper wall by insulating stones or storage stones - 14--.
The bypasses are connected to the connecting pipe - 17 - of the blower --16-- by means of the associated pipe bends --12, 12 '. They contain regulating flaps - 9, 9 '- which can be moved in the opposite direction to the regulating flap --10-- and are used to regulate the extraction of heat from the storage tank.
The housing of the blower --16-- including the electric drive motor is via a
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Vibration-absorbing part - 18--, preferably a bellows, connected to the adjoining pipe bend --17--; In addition, the fan housing is mounted vibration-damped in the support frame --20-- of the block storage system.
The arrows indicate the direction of flow of the air conveyed by the fan. When the storage tank is being charged, both the blinds - 19, 19 '- and the bypass control flaps - 9, 9' - are closed. The charging can be regulated in a manner known per se. Safety thermostats (capillary thermostats) with series and control resistance built into the block insulation (not shown in the drawings) prevent excessive charging by one thermostat switching off the energy supply for the heating elements of the storage tank when a set maximum temperature is exceeded and the other releases it as soon as a temperature falls below or is reached.
Two safety thermostats in the hot air inlet and outlet control the blower unit, so that the system is switched off if a set temperature is exceeded, as well as if the temperature falls below it.
